Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness

Kindness

Many thanks to Life Lessons from Around the Dinner Table for nominating my blog for this new award which was created by  MSW R. Thank you so much! I honestly got teary, sometimes I forget that my words can make an impact. If I could nominate you, I would!

Here are the rules:

Tell who you nominate and why.

Copy and share the picture that shows the award, posted above.

Share a paragraph of something that impacted your own life in the way of receiving kindness or how you extended kindness to someone else.

Nominate anyone or share to your own page. If you so choose to Participate.

Tag or pingback to the original person who nominated you, or the original post.

Just like with Kristian when I do have something good happen to me or I do something good, I have a hard time talking about it. I don’t like to boast about it either. Even though, usually, when we do something nice for others, most people are genuinely doing it because they want to do something kind for someone else…Usually…

Some of the things I either find bring kindness, or kind things I have done in the past are:

  • My mum doesn’t “love” her job. Every now and then (and when I can afford it) I’ll randomly send her flowers to her desk.
  • It may be irritating and you may think “Why Me” I find though when an “older person” wants to talk with you, it’s usually because they’re lonely and sometimes afraid. One time I was speaking to an elderly gentleman and he was on the way to the Doctors. He asked me to read a letter as he couldn’t read English well. He asked me if I could see anywhere on the letter if it said that he had cancer and he did not. I have never seen someone so grateful before! Ever since then I’ve not minded to speak with them.
  • More recently, I have been trying to get over my feelings of awkwardness if I see someone post how down they are feeling. I’ll post a picture or gif of a hug. Even if I don’t know them very well and have no idea what they are upset.
  • Saving a bee from the water, even though I’m allergic.

Also remember though Kindness does not equal weakness!

My Nominations:

*For my nominations I wanted to nominate all the Blogs that I follow that I consider to be kind. The only problem with that is all the Blog I read are kind, I wouldn’t follow anybody “nasty”. I have decided to go with some Blogs that I feel are fighting for people and are still responding to the haters with a lot more grace and kindness then these people deserve!*

Bookmark Chronicles – Bookmark Chronicles was probably one of the first people that I found and one of the first people that I followed on WordPress. I LOVE how she fights for POC, reminding and teaching us about History and the system. With so much grace along the way. The way she supports other Bloggers as well and how she writes…Beautiful!

Kindness Blog – I am a relatively new reader, but the Kindness Blog finds Kindness wherever they are writing about. If you are ever down and wanted something good to think about please read this Blog!

The Tony Burgess Blog  – I don’t think that there is a kinder Blogger than the Tony Burgess Blog. Even when he is not feeling himself, he still throws out so much kindness towards others…There is not way I could not nominate him!

What about you? What are some ways you show kindness?  How has someones act of kindness impacted you?

Thanks again, Rory!!

Love & Life Lessons,

Kristian
