Thursday Theories and Daily WordPress Prompt – Question

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

I know automatically which question I HATE, and being Women’s History Month.

“What is a woman”

TERs just LOVE this question. They don’t actually mean what do you actually think a woman is. They only accept the one answer they approve of “Adult Human Female” So a big HINT, if someone is wearing this on their top, 99% of the time, they are a TER. It’s a dictionary meaning. If you heard about people getting angry about Dictionaries changing words, woman/women was one of them, to include trans women.

It is all they’ll accept. Which, being a dictionary meaning, is clearly them being ridiculous. They do it so much that now someone created a bot on Twitter literally called “What is a woman” bot. It breaks down for any transphobic person why having the one meaning is utterly ridiculous. So now a lot of us just use that.

Too me a woman is more than a dictionary meaning. I would hope you agree too.

I don’t always do this, but I loved this one.

How important is self development for you?

Self Development is like the ultimate thing for me.

You can never ever change without it.

There is a line in the song of “Sound of Silence” … “Silence like a cancer grows” and I believe this too be true of everything in life, including ourselves. We all know when we need to change something n our lives. When we ignore it, it only gets worse. It will get to a point where we can’t ingnore.

Our bodies will tell us this, whether it be through actually becoming physically ill. I do believe that not listening to ourselves also affects out mental health, and as well as generally in our lives. We become angrier, we become more depressed, we tend to lash out more.

Self Development should be a top priority for everyone. There are a lot of quotes out there about self development and they are all excellent quotes. At the end of the day, all the quotes in the world, it’s all still up to your self (yes I meant to put a space in-between).

There is not harm to admit you’re not perfect, or that you got something wrong. But if you ignore it, you wont be able too. Your body will let you know.

Writing Challenge for February 15, 2023 – Marlas Word

Writing Challenge for February 15, 2023

13 Wonderful Words That You’re Not Using (Yet).”

These are (strangely) 14 words on list. These words are:

  1. Biblioklept
  2. Acnestis
  3. Meldrop
  4. Octothrope
  5. Nauseant
  6. Augend
  7. Addend
  8. Obelus
  9. Wrest Pin
  10. Agelast
  11. Amatorculist
  12. Pot-valor
  13. Peristeronic
  14. Hirquiticke

This challenge is to take at least three of these words and write a story, poem, post pictures, doodles, or any other way that you like to express yourself.

Pot-valor –

I feel that light liquid bubble all the way down my throat,

Clear in colour,

Strong on impact.

Tap, tap, tap on the keyboard,

Bigots ala Twitter, watch out!

I’ve had the clear liquid courage.

Beware…Because, I see you, you can’t hide from me!

Octothrope

Right now there’s a “debate” on Twitter over whether or not people can claim a hashtag. Legally, unless a hashtag is your business name, then no you cannot claim a hashtag.

However, morally wise, if a minority group claim a hashtag for their group, or their cause. It’s not a bad idea to be quiet and just listen.

#DignityforBrianna

Amatorculist – This one was easy to write about. When I saw what the word meant, I knew something was going to be written.

A little “story” :

If you have ever seen the Sex and the City episode The Catch”. You will understand when I say that I am still suffering from a Amatorculist. My Amatorculist, was the one before my fiancé. When I say that I am still suffering, I don’t mean emotionally or mentally, I literally mean physically.

Fandango’s Provocative Question #193

Fandango’s Provocative Question #193

I really thought about this question, so I decided to write a post about it.

What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? What made the decision so difficult?

The hardest decision I made, turned out one that worked out in my favour really. I’ve had a really good life, really. Most of the decisions in my life were left out of my hands. There was a choice that I could have made, that would have changed my life. I’m an Australia, my first serious relationship was with an American.

I could probably be an American right now, if I had decided to go back, even one last time. I clearly did not. I’m still in Australia and I am now in a long term relationship with an Australia.

At the time though and first love. All I could see was being with my first love…FOREVER It makes me feel so stupid now. There was a time where I really had to look into moving over there. The thing that was making it difficult, I didn’t want to leave Australia. I love Australia, I love being an Australian (much better than silly America) and my little family is awesome. He had never made the effort to come out too Australia. Still…first loves and all that…

In the end, he pretty much made the decision for me. He didn’t break up with me, but I knew there was a girl he wanted to be with. The only thing stopping him, was her. And she HATED me, I still haven’t met her though. She had no problem using my boyfriend, at the time, to try and cheese me off. He had cheated on me before, and we are still friends.

Too be honest, the nicest break up I’ve ever had. I was so tired of trying to convince him to come to Australia. I had decided I wasn’t moving to America, until he met MY family.

I am VERY happy to be an Australian still.

Winter Question Tag … Blogmas Day 7

Thank you for this Know Your Worth Own Your Life! ❤

It’s a bit weird doing this, since it’s Summer in Australia, ,haha! But I love doing these things.

Winter Question Tag … Blogmas Day 7

Here’s the list of questions
  1. What’s your favorite Winter sport?
I LOVE watching ice-skating, winter or Summer. There’s something really beautiful about ice-skating.
  2. What’s your number one self care priority during colder weather?
Trying to make sure that I don’t get a cold/flu. You know something? It usually works out pretty well, except when other people are involved (lol). I like my temperature comfortable, but during Winter, everyone wants to put the heater on full blast. I have actually gotten heat stroke during Winter once.
  3. What do you place at the top of your tree?
At the moment it’s a red star, but it’s very “Russian” looking. So I am going to get something a little more ‘pleasant’, haha.
  4. Any Christmas Eve traditions?
My family have quiet a few!
+ We have a secret santa with the adults, and we wrap the presents in newspaper
+ Well, my mum and I put up our Christmas tree on the 1st of December, and then take it down 12 days after Christmas.
    + Always a Turkey and a Ham
+ My mum makes the Christmas pudding and cake
+ You have to wear the hats.
  5. What is your definition of Christmas spirit?
Anything that brings you Joy. Genuine Joy. You all know what I mean. Even if it’s just the food, haha.
  6. What is one thing you’ve always wished for?
World Peace…I am completely serious! The last couple of years especially so. I know that I am very lucky and privileged, and honestly wish there was more I could do.
  7. What would you say in a Grown Up Christmas Letter to Santa?
Hey dude, where’s the world peace I keep wishing for (haha)
  8. One object you’d think would be in every mom’s purse during the Winter?
Tissues? I’m not a mother, but I can imagine that tissues would be very handy during Winter.
  9. What 3 movies do you watch every Christmas?
1 Nightmare Before Christmas, of course
    2 The Muppets Christmas Carol
    3 Normally Jim Carrey’s “Grinch”
In all honesty, they are usually the only ones I like to watch. The rest, if I get around to watching them, I watch them. So if I remember like Home Alone, I’ll watch it. I just don’t have many “must watch” Christmas films. I normally watch all my favourite tv shows Christmas specials.
  10. What’s you absolute favoritest part about this time of year?
Even though, it’s completely stressful, I always have really lovely Christmas’s. Even though, at the moment, I’ve blocked my Dad. Still happy, haha. I just can’t deal with his poop at the moment.

Questions:

genderedbrainrev

Do you think there is such a thing as a ‘gendered’ brain?

I believe that we all have a bit of a gendered brain. Some just happen to have more than gender than another gender. What does it even mean to have a gendered brain? Do boys have a more “masculine” gendered brain?

What is the silliest fear you have?

Ones I have now are probably too personal to write about on WordPress at this moment in time. When I was little though, I used to fear red apples, because of a certain little movie.

Out of your family members, who are you closest to?

Maybe lame, but I am probably closest to my Mum now, these days. It used to be my Grandmother, but unfortunately she’s starting to become a bit angry. She’s kind of always been a little grumpy, but she’s started making catastrophes out of nothing. We think something happened to her, but she wont tell us what. Mum and I have gotten closer and a lot more honest with each other in the last couple of years.

What is something you’ll NEVER do again?

I will never waste my time or my life again worrying about toxic people and toxic friendships (relationships are just a given, but I don’t see us breaking up anytime soon with my current partner. I love him and it’s the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had).

I was not nominated for this award, but I thought that An Upturned Souls questions and answers were so beautiful, that I was completely inspired to answer the questions.

An Upturned Soul 5 Questions

#1 – What is the best compliment you could get or have received for one of your creations?

I haven’t honestly created anything yet, everything I am creating is in the middle of it’s creation. I feel like this is the year where all my creations are going to finally come together. I think one of the best compliments you can give someone is just to tell them how their creations moved you, honestly. Did their creation inspire you? Did it move you, what feelings did it make you feel. I don’t mean “It sucked” That is neither constructive or helpful.

#2 – Which creative person has had the most influence on you and your creativity?

I have to say it is my Grandmother (the one I wrote about in my previous post) You know how sometimes you are lucky enough to connect with a person, especially from your own family? Well my Gran is “my person” and she’s probably the biggest cheerleader for all her children and grandchildren. That’s why it’s been upsetting me, I feel like we had to take care of her, instead of her watching over our dog.

#3 – Which work of art, literature, invention, song, film, etc, which has already been created do you wish you could have created?

I think if you read my posts a lot, you will know of my complete love for the world of J.R.R Tolkien. That’s my jive!

#4 – Do you have a creative muse, someone who or something which never fails to get your creativity flowing? Do you want to share your muse or keep them a secret?

My Muse is a “something”. It’s a music something. For some reason whenever I listen to Celtic music, but more specifically Celtic Women…Whenever I hear the music, I want too either jig, if I’m walking, or write, if I’m at home…I even have a video clip for each one of their songs that I really enjoy.

#5 – You find a book and begin to read only to discover that it is your life. You get to the point that you are at now, do you turn the page knowing that you will not be able to change the events to come? (weird-funny question from Mantelligence: 83 Hypothetical Questions)

No! Oh my goodness…As tempted as I would definitely would be, I would never be able too. I don’t want to know. It’s just too much pressure, whether it’s something good or bad. Even if it’s something good, the pressure to wait for it too happen, would be just as unbearable.

My 5 Questions for anyone who would like to answer them:

#1 What is something you have always wanted to started to do? Still have yet to do it.

#2 Like Homer Simpson, he sold his soul for a doughnut. What would you sell yours for?

#3 Would you want to have good magic or dark magic…Why and what responsibilities would come along with it? (Inspired by Doctor Strange)

#4 What is the wisest thing you have heard someone say?

#5 What would make you feel more worthy?
