A little bit about me

I’ve been kind of busy this week, so I’ve decided to remind people where they can find me. Advertise myself a little bit. Ever since I became affiliate I’ve been not advertising myself, lol

Just before I get into that I need to do a warning, trigger, thing. I am writing a blog post tomorrow. You will see it as “Thursday Theories – Great Writing” Now if you are fan of Harry Potter, 50 Shades of Grey or Twilight. This is the only warning I will give, do not read it. I’ve been working on this for a while now and am quiet proud of this post. As I am sure most of you do too, I have a long history with books and writing and Libraries, all that, jazz. So I’ve been able to put my personal opinion with some facts.

Also, it’s a long post.

It’s basically my opinion, backed up with some facts, and I know how people can get about those! Haha

The biggest thing that’s exciting since becoming affiliated is that I have a new icon and banner. I love it. I didn’t even really have to tell them that much.

Then of course there’s my Goodreads page – https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/24833271-lauren

Of course my Book and Writing Discord page: https://discord.gg/rYuVRfWNqZ

I am also restarting a website. I wont post it until a bit more is on there.

Feel free to post any of your sites on here and in the comments.

What is the point?

I was going to write a whole post about this. It’s just really simple though. Apart from maybe some tourism, which fine. Is it worth it? You’ve got a “family” that will do everything they can, to protect a pedophile, but not their own son, because the media don’t like that his partner is black and American?

Its insanity.

Week 1

So today has been one week, since I was got FREEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM and was allowed out of isolation.

My jebus, I am tired!lol

So this is going to be short and sweet. One night, my partner and I actually fell asleep listening to boy bands on YouTube. We were trying to guess what boy band sang what song. We were both tired, but we were having trouble sleeping. This actually helped.

Not saying the songs or bands are boring, but I think it actually did help us to relax a little.

It was actually fun, lol. I don’t think this was the actual one, but another could one. Try and guess!

Ask me anything…The answers.

You asked and I am now delivering!

OK, crunchy or smooth peanut butter?! Asked by Meerkat Musings

For the lovers of peanut butter, this is the question to end all questions. Smooth or crunchy. I genuinely had to think about this one. In the end I went with smooth. The literal only reason being that when you have a sore throat, it really does hurt trying to swallow the crunchy down. Do not ask me how I know that, lol. That’s the ONLY reason I could choose.

Favourite dish? Asked by LIFESFINEWHINE

I thought of this question, as if being asked what would I want for my final meal. The first thing that came to mind was lasagna. It has been the one constant favourite meal in my life. I have literally either gotten food poisoning or I couldn’t keep it down when I’ve been heartbroken, from the rest.

What do you consider to be the 5 most beautiful things in the world? Asked by Life Lessons From Around the Dinner Table

  1. Nature. Even when it’s really scary, it’s still so beautiful. How it know’s what it’s doing, unlike us.
  2. True Love. I don’t mean that sappy “oh he’s so romantic” ‘true love’. I mean that, you look at your partner, a friend, a family member, your child, heck your pet and you just feel with that warmth. You all know what I’m talking about.
  3. This is going to sound odd, but there’s nothing more beautiful too me than silence, but also beautiful noise. That peace of silence when you’re alone, and have a break from other’s noises. Yet, at the same time, drums in the same motion, just as beautiful.
  4. A poem that you just love.
  5. Kindness, too others. It’s severely lacking lately. That I swear, if you get to see it or experience. Obviously kindness towards animals, is a must. But when I see a human doing it for another human being. That takes a lot of power, it’s beautiful.

Did I do good?lol

Slight Blog Post Freak outs

I don’t know about anyone else, but I can usually have between 5-10 post all scheduled and ready to go. When that number starts to drop, I start to worry a little and then put pressure on myself to write a good post, ready to go. I felt like this all week last week, I was struggling to find inspiration. Over the weekend though, I managed to get the count back up again.

Do any of you get this feeling too? You just hit a blogging wall and that’s it. You can’t get it back there for a bit!

QUESTIONS:

What, in your opinion, is the point to life?

I think the point to life, is to find YOUR point of life. Too concentrate to the point for your life, to find our point to life.

What was your most recent lie?  You don’t have to get really specific obviously.

I lied to someone recently who asked me if I was alright. I’m not 100% but this isn’t someone I want to know anything about my life really. I’ve got a bit of a bacterial gut infection and I mentioned on my Facebook that I was sick and they were all “Are you alright”? So I told them I was just getting my yearly cholesterol check. Which wasn’t a total lie, but it wasn’t the only thing I was there for. I did that wrong anyway now. I had a cup of tea…with…WITH…sugar an hour before I went -.-

What country do you consider the strangest?   (it’s all In fun folks, ALL countries may seem strange to outsiders)

I have actually visited America a few times and I still think it’s one of the strangest countries, especially for being a “first world” country. Whether you include Trump and that whole situation. It amazes me how you could probably have states as nations, they are just THAT different from each other. You look at something like Scientology, for example. We actually do have that in Australia, just nowhere near the scale it is, in America. We actually had politicians fight it (look up Nick Xenphon) I don’t think they are tax free here anymore. Whereas America is more all freedom of religion, even when it’s more than obvious that a “Religion” is a money making scheme. Like, I almost actually get NK and Russia. Simply they are Dictators and not very nice people. American, it’s such a mixture and they don’t know how to get along. It’s their way, or it’s the “wrong way”.

What’s your funniest story involving a car?

I can’t honestly think of any, mainly because I get my anxiety issues from travelling. If something very funny has happened to me I don’t honestly remember it, but I have loved reading others!

GRATITUDE

Do you have something you’re very thankful for or that showed immense kindness toward yourself or someone?

I think my coworkers are just the best! I am not working in my “dream job” persay and I’m not sure that I’d mind working where I am right now, for a very long time. One of the great things about where I work, I get a chance to Blog too! If I come up with an idea for a post, I can at least get it started.

  • There are two movies since I can remember that I watch at least once a year “The Red Shoes” and “The Beatrix Potter Ballet” film.
  • I want to foster animals…If I ever win the lottery I will open up my own animal foster care centre.

My Best Posts:

Happy Birthday Baby brother!

I can’t keep Calm! =D

Molly’s questions:

  • Do you have any favourite festive reads? if so, what are they?

I don’t really have any festive reads that I read around this time of year, but there are a lot of Christmas specials on the television that I like to watch. I don’t think that they even had them played last year.

  • Who is your all time favourite book character?

Oh wow, I don’t think that I even have one character that I can think of. There are just way to many for me to pick one. I guess the first person I thought of was Arwen from LotR, both books and films. She is everything I aspire to be.

  • Are you planning on posting Christmassy content in December?

Possibly…I’m not sure yet. I want to post happy and motivating posts in the last couple of weeks. I enjoy New Years, but I feel like renewing is more around the time of your birthday than actual New Years (except of course if New Years IS your birthday).

  • What is the one book you would recommend to anyone?

I’ve only read this year, but I would highly recommend “Circe” by Madeline Miller. It is fantastic! Even though I’ve already read it, I have actually asked for it, for Christmas as well.

  • Do you have any Christmas traditions?

Only really have a couple. We usually put our Christmas tree up on the 1st of December, but take it down 12 days after Christmas. The other one we have is, the adults on our Mums side do a secret Santa, we wrap the presents in newspaper. Helps keep it more secret, but my Grandfather actually started it when he though it was a waste of money to wrap it paper that you just chuck out.

  4. What are you most looking forward too…Whenever?
  5. If you could choose a world, from a book, to live in…Which book world would it be?

Share Your World – 17-09-2018

Here’s Our Questions for This Week’s SYW:

What Is Your Favorite Beverage?  (for those who really dislike “favorite” questions, hey, time to time, one just pops in and will not be denied).

I go through phases where I’ll like and be almost obsessed with drinking just the one type of beverage. At the moment it’s Lemon, Lime and Bitters. I think it’s because it’s definitely (too me) a fun Spring type drink.

What Is Your Interpretation of ‘The Golden Rule”?  Are there ramifications to breaking it?

I believe that the “Golden Rule” means ultimately what you think of “how you treat others” is.  Do you believe in Karma, do you believe to treats others how you’d want to be treated, or does it not matter to you? I recently wrote a blog post about Karma and how you shouldn’t expect Karma to go the way you want.

Sunrise person or sunset person?

I am both…Although I have only seen the sunrise, maybe once or twice in my whole life. It’s funny because since I’ve had my anxiety attack I hate seeing the sun gone down now. I feel better when the sun is up.

Do people in modern society anthropomorphize animals too much?

I think we do, but I also think that it can’t be helped. Some of the videos on YouTube, they seem SO like us. I think it’s what gets animals into trouble as well though. Naive ones amongst us forget that they are animals. Even the pet dog and cat, they are still animals. With a whole bunch of different instincts and feelings.

and finally

What Were You Grateful For During the Past Week?

I’m grateful for all the sane people in my life, lol
