What don’t you do do?

Yes, I wrote that exactly how I intended it to be.

I was thinking more surrounding work.

What do you do at work, that you’ve either had to stop yourself from doing, or you can’t do, but you do do anyway?

So at my Mum’s work, because a lot of them live pay check to pay check. They will take anything from work, including toilet paper. Like, even though I am not a rich woman, sometimes though, we get our food delivered. Sometimes, that food gets mixed up with someone else’s order. Since COVID, you are not allowed to take it back to the shops. So if we have “left over” food, like the other week, we got dog food, in huge cans. We don’t have a doggo anymore, so I passed the cans onto my Mum’s work. Apparently it all went in 5 seconds.

Or say, at my work. Because we’re data entry, we’re allowed to listen to our ipods (or audio books), and last week, on the Friday I actually did this…Then I started wiggling in my seat.

I mean … How could I not?

QUESTIONS:

What, in your opinion, is the point to life?

I think the point to life, is to find YOUR point of life. Too concentrate to the point for your life, to find our point to life.

What was your most recent lie?  You don’t have to get really specific obviously.

I lied to someone recently who asked me if I was alright. I’m not 100% but this isn’t someone I want to know anything about my life really. I’ve got a bit of a bacterial gut infection and I mentioned on my Facebook that I was sick and they were all “Are you alright”? So I told them I was just getting my yearly cholesterol check. Which wasn’t a total lie, but it wasn’t the only thing I was there for. I did that wrong anyway now. I had a cup of tea…with…WITH…sugar an hour before I went -.-

What country do you consider the strangest?   (it’s all In fun folks, ALL countries may seem strange to outsiders)

I have actually visited America a few times and I still think it’s one of the strangest countries, especially for being a “first world” country. Whether you include Trump and that whole situation. It amazes me how you could probably have states as nations, they are just THAT different from each other. You look at something like Scientology, for example. We actually do have that in Australia, just nowhere near the scale it is, in America. We actually had politicians fight it (look up Nick Xenphon) I don’t think they are tax free here anymore. Whereas America is more all freedom of religion, even when it’s more than obvious that a “Religion” is a money making scheme. Like, I almost actually get NK and Russia. Simply they are Dictators and not very nice people. American, it’s such a mixture and they don’t know how to get along. It’s their way, or it’s the “wrong way”.

What’s your funniest story involving a car?

I can’t honestly think of any, mainly because I get my anxiety issues from travelling. If something very funny has happened to me I don’t honestly remember it, but I have loved reading others!

GRATITUDE

Do you have something you’re very thankful for or that showed immense kindness toward yourself or someone?

I think my coworkers are just the best! I am not working in my “dream job” persay and I’m not sure that I’d mind working where I am right now, for a very long time. One of the great things about where I work, I get a chance to Blog too! If I come up with an idea for a post, I can at least get it started.

Do you prefer a bath or shower?

I honestly prefer a shower. I really like the idea of a bath, but usually after about 5 minutes I either get tired and sleepy, or I get bored. Although with a shower I can stand for hours and perfectly be happy and not be bored.

What do you do to make a living or during the day? If you are retired what mostly occupies your day? Or if you are a student what are you studying?

I work two casual jobs, one is at an adult entrance type school and I help students enrol, set up their fees etc. That job has busy and quiet periods, so sometimes I’ll be working every day and then can go a few weeks with no work (usually over the Christmas period). My other work place is within a council Library (there are about 5). Since I’ve been sick though, I have not heard from the Library, it’s depressing really =/

Is there a stuffed animal in your bedroom?

Only one? I’ve got a few…and another on the way! It’s a large Yoda, and I want to use it to meditate with =D I am getting rid of a few, to make up for it. I did promise to myself (and my mum) that if I got the Yoda, I would get rid of some others. No specific number, but I know which ones are going.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I have just been really productive this week and it has meant that my anxiety has been really alright this week.

You’ve got to have a Hobby

41. Hobbies

I love Hobbies…I am all about the Hobbies…

I feel like everyone needs a Hobby, or some kind of outlet. I am grateful to all the Hobbies  in the whole world because I feel like they are such a good distractions and just give our minds a break from the rat race of the world.

Some of my Hobbies are (in no particular favourite order):

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Playing Games
  • Crafts
  • Baking…I consider baking to be more like cupcakes/cakes/muffins/biscuits…Food you don’t “need” to make, rather more that they are fun.
  • I don’t know if you’d call watching “Safari Live” a “hobby” but I enjoy it, it’s like watching your favourite “YouTuber” I guess? Is that even an Hobby?lol

I am grateful for all the Hobbies and they have been great distractions for myself personally. When I first developed my odd anxiety symptoms, doing all the Hobbies above distracted me and with those distractions slowly I’ve gotten better. I have often thought lately about making my Hobbies my work…But I don’t know if I’m brave enough or would even know where to start!

What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you that is not part of your regular daytime routine?

I love to play computer games, both on a console and on a pc. I’ve also gotten into mediation recently, it’s really helping me with the anxiety issues. I actually really enjoy taking my dog for a walk, if she’s not involved, I do not enjoy it so much…She’s so cute, because she gets herself so excited, she’s exhausted before we get out the door, lol

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Oh wow, what wouldn’t I do?!lol … I would pay off both my parents mortgage and I would then by myself a nice house, which hopefully I could design from the bottom up, with my own Library. I would also love a beach house, but I’d rent that out during the Winter, lol…Travel would definitely be in the immediate future.  I would love to help as animal sanctuaries/zoo’s/places as I could.

What makes you laugh the most?

Probably my pets too be honest, they’ll do a movement, or a little sound and it’s so silly, it just makes me laugh. I also feel terrible for admitting this but those animal type fail videos, they make me laugh too. I think a lot of it is too do with their reactions after, they look at the camera like they are saying “What”lol

What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?

Stupid people have access to it!lol

That part of the weekend vs this part of the weekend

Could my title be any longer?!

Well I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend, mine was so odd!lol…I lost track of time because I worked on the weekend for the first time in my life, threw me right off! I stood up for a couple of people for them just to turn around and did something even stupider. Then there was also the friend who sent me this message about how Facebook reminded them we’ve been friends for 6 years and how we should catch up, even though it’ll probably never happen. Almost felt like they were trying to make me feel guilty about it, except they’re the ones who kept bailing, so I stopped asking, lol

Despite all of that though I actually had a really great weekend. I worked for the first time on a weekend and with only one other staff member, and didn’t break anything. Got around the seeing a movie I’ve been wanting to see and didn’t suffer from any anxiety. While working on the weekend has totally thrown me off a timetable, it was a great learning experience. I felt like I actually did learn things. Had a nice glass of Jack Daniels and then the next morning made myself the most perfect hot chocolate, if I do say so myself.

The best thing about the weekend was though I actually got to relax and recharge. I have had to go out every day on the weekend for the past three weekends and it’s been really annoying. I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent with people, but there’s nothing like being able to spend most of the day in your pj’s and just chill. Especially when you are cooking some beautiful beef in a slow cooker.

This weekend has inspired me!…Watch this space for more…

Getting started

This is for all my drawing/artist/creative type readers/Home Business followers…At the moment I have two casual jobs and while I enjoy both of them I am just not making enough money. I’m making enough to “survive” and luckily my partner and my mum charge me rent/bills on a percentage of what I make, rather than a set amount.

As I mentioned before I really do enjoy where I’m working at both places, I am really lucky that all my co-workers are lovely people and even with that one expected customer that’s always causing trouble. The work is good too, not to difficult that I just can’t do it, but keeps me busy and my mind off other things. Some weeks though I just don’t get the shifts, which when you’re a casual means, you get paid…well…nothing.

So this is where all my drawing/artist/creative type readers/Home Business followers come into play. I want to do something from home where I can make money as well. I love doing little crafty things and I would love to make a little business of bits and bobs. However, I have no idea where to start. So I was hoping that someone could give me ideas of any web pages or any sites that are good for people who want to get started, what sites are good to sell on, any legal information I may need. I was thinking of making things like:

  • Themed candles as well as just random scented
  • Handmade cards for all occasions
  • Flowery headbands

The Thinker
“The Thinker” created by Le Penseur

I am writing a couple of stories and am even writing what I call “script ideas” for a tv show for a role playing game that I used to play and I would love to be able to draw. I am a very visual person, but I am honestly also too lazy to learn how to draw properly. I can start and try, but I’d probably never get to the point where I could sell the art. The writing is mainly for myself and I’m not sure that I have to confidence to try and sell the ideas to someone either…It makes me feel kind of sad too at the same time as well. Who doesn’t want to be the next J.K. Rowling?
