Oh, the Irony

*Just to warn…This is a bit of a “trigger” topic, please read with care <3*

I was reading Tweets yesterday about the various of groups of people who helped fight with our ANZAC Troops. One group being Muslim soldiers…Oh the controversy…There was one Tweet that sound ridiculous to me though. Where a “man” asked if the Muslim woman condoned the rape and beating of women

Now this is why it struck me…

No, the woman did not condone that behaviour…BUT…I find it slightly hilarious that this seems to be the biggest excuse why Muslims are “bad people”…I’m sorry, Us as a Western Society are so great at not raping and beating our women? Us, as a Western Society, are great at protecting at these women and also our gay community? Brock Turner anyone? Or how great we are at protecting people who are innocent? How great we are at protecting Women’s Health because it doesn’t sit well with a certain group of people? Planned Parenthood Defunded (So much for the “Land of the Free”)… I wonder how many times this guy has called a woman a liar as soon as she said “Rape” … Or condemned someone for staying with an abusive partner?

I think some people need to seriously sit down and have a long hard look at themselves before they start condemning another country, because really, are we that far off?

Yes … I took and take natural medicine!

Yes, I have been taking natural medicine to help with my leg, and it’s been working. Apparently this must be all a “placebo” affect though because I really wanted it to work. Apparently I didn’t want my “Western” medicine to work because I loved walking around in pain?

This has become a big issue for me apparently. I am a big believer in using both western and eastern medicines both together as they both have great benefits. I strongly believe that they both cannot work without the other. Some people I know are under the impression that when I went to my naturopath I was only feeling the benefits because I “really wanted it too work”. As opposed to the 3-4 months I was trying to get Doctors to give me medicines that wouldn’t just temporarily fix the pain, but get rid of the problem all together. During those months I mustn’t have wanted to get rid of the pain that badly? I am a masochist, without even realising and not even wanting to be one.

Silly people.

The most frustrating people I despise meeting are the ones who don’t like something or haven’t even tried a particular something, but judge it, and call themselves “open-minded”. While putting you down for using something when it has indeed worked for you.

Year of the Monkey – Cultural Love

I am a big believer learning from both the Western and Eastern cultures. I am also involved with healing activities that derive from the Eastern cultures. I also think one does need to know that there is nothing wrong with bringing Eastern and Western medicines and using them together. I think it might even be better than just using one all the time.

This Monday is the beginning of the Chinese New Year. With the Chinese culture each year is represented by one of twelve animal signs. This year is the Year of the Monkey. The Monkey is the ninth sign of the twelve year cycle. The origin of the Chinese New Year follows very closely to Astrology. I’ve found that with all different “Beliefs” they are often very similar and lot of them promote love and togetherness. As humans tend to do though, a lot like the game Chinese whispers, people interpret how they want to interpret the words that are written. Losing a lot of the original meaning.

Years of the Monkey include 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, 2028…
