Thursday Theories and a cup of tea

I sit here in the hotel room, and wonder…WHAT CAN I WRITE?!

The flight over was going alright, until that descent! I can’t remember that last time I just felt terrible on a descent. Guaranteed, it has been a while since I’ve flown.

There was a moment where I really did feel that my breathe had just been taken away. It has too be at least over 5 years since I’ve flown. I forgot how the ascent and descent can be a little scary. Mainly because of that whole gravity thing. I literally grabbed my partners arm at one point.

Then when we got to where we were going, we went out and got … TACO BELL! … As we were waiting, I stepped in gum…Eww, but here’s the thing. It was inside the shop, so even more ewww, lol.

You know how hotels always have that free tea and coffee in hotel rooms, well now I’m sitting down, after getting the gum off my shoes and having a free cup of tea, hehe

Questions:

Where do you feel most at home?  Please be more specific than “at home, doh” please. It could be a room in your home, a person, a location…

I wish I hadn’t said anything now!lol…However, I was thinking about this question a lot. I think that where I feel most at home, where ever my heart feels the safest. See, I have my anxiety attacks when I feel uncomfortable or unsafe. So when I don’t feel like I’m about to have a heart attack, I must feel safe there.

Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?

Well I’m scared of horses, and I’m still learning to drive. Riding a bike, would also help to get me healthier =D

What song would you sing on “Karoke Night” (if you were forced to do so)?

I don’t really have a “song”. I just like to drink and then sing to anything. I do seem to sing to Bon Jovi at lot though. Not well, mind you,lol

University or life experience, which do you feel best prepares you for life?

Probably life itself. While University is great if you want to become say a teacher, or a doctor, or part of a trade. How many times have we seen though, people with degrees or doctorates coming from say Harvard or Yale, just not really actually good with people.

Why everywhere else is better than Sydney

I don’t know why Sydney is as popular as it is. Many people say that Sydney should become our new capital city…Except for the fact, that it SUCKS!

As a REALLY good example, when Australia voted in “YES” for marriage equality. NSW, where we have the Mardi Gras, only JUST scrapped in with Yes. They were actually the state that voted the lowest “Yes” vote. I forgave them, because at LEAST they managed to just squeeze the “Yes” in -.- Sydney also has the biggest bunch of white conservative elites out of the entirety of Australia.

Sydney, where they have the Mardi Gras is had the biggest voices against “Yes”. My state is the “State of Churches” and WE had a bigger majority for Yes, than NSW did.

Because they have largest group of Conservative elites. These elite have systemically been shutting down and shoving away anything “out of the ordinary” in Sydney.

My narcissistic ex-best friend lives in Sydney, and she could not SHUT UP with how Sydney is just better than everywhere else. Which is probably a good reason why I dislike Sydney too. One time I went over there for her birthday. She had not bought a new red top for the occasion. The day of her party, she decided to finally go and look for one I asked “Why didn’t you get on already?” Her reply “Sydney’s MUCH better than Adelaide, I’ll be able to find one, if not two, so easily”. She didn’t and sulked the whole night, because she had wanted to wear something special -.-

Having a brother in Melbourne, I know how true this article is. Sydneyer’s think they are literally “the stuff” because they live in Sydney…and don’t they act like it! It’s not like New York, where people are actually good and pretty welcoming. Sydneyer’s are more like “I live in Sydney, I’m better than you”. -.-

Go to Sydney for the attractions, but travel literally anywhere else in Australia for the true warmth of Australia.

What’s the worst topping you could put on popcorn?   (credit to Teresa for this one)

For myself personally it’d be chilli, because I am not good with chilli, but I love eating popcorn at the movies.

In what country did Silent Night originate?

Off the top of my head…I think it’s German? When I actually go and Google it, it is pretty much German, it comes from Austria.

(WARNING! The following question is NOT meant to start a fuss.  It’s merely a good discussion question in my opinion.  Most everyone knows where I stand on this. If you feel like arguing about it, please give it a pass.) We’re all adults and sensible ones at that.  We can be mature about such things, right?

How would you react if there was irrefutable proof that God doesn’t exist? How about if there was irrefutable proof that God does exist?

For myself, personally, it doesn’t really matter either way. I am not religious, I’m more spiritual. I believe something is out there, I just don’t know what.

And last question:

What is the scariest non banned item you could take on to a plane?

I actually find this question more “scandalous” than the God question, I wouldn’t taken anything scary on a plane. I suffer from anxiety, so I would never do that.

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?

I actually did do this once, but I freaked out that they were getting the answers wrong I erased the answers that I thought they thought were correct. I never did it again…If I’m going to fail, I’m going to fail myself.

What things in nature do you find most beautiful?

Oh my goodness, there are just so many beautiful things in Nature. I wouldn’t know where to even start to be honest, but I’ll list a few things that just pop into my head:

  • I love watching when oceans and lakes and  rivers, etc, are calm and the wildlife is just doing what they do when they are calm.
  • I love how nature just keeps managing a way to survive against such big odds!
  • I love watching “animal” mothers and how they care for their little one. Sometimes more than us! (I mean how can you not?)
  • Watching the sun rise and watching it set.

Complete this sentence: When I travel I love to….

wander about and watch the neighbourhoods of people go by. If I’m in a hotel, I am definitely like to people watch from my window.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I’ve been inspired a lot this week, the weather has been so weird and I’ve been doing a lot of walking this week. One day it’s really hot, then the next it’s humid and raining. So I’ve been walking in the evening when it’s a lot cooler and I’ve just been sitting in the park and it’s been really nice. I wish I could stay there all the time too be honest.

Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice?

I’d rather have the 2 week vacation only because I get sea sick and would probably end up doing nothing on a cruise except for lying on the bed and throwing up the whole time. I wouldn’t enjoy that at all! I’d rather have a two week vacation of my choice, lol

Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?

I used to actually feel sick when I’d go on the swing, because I’d make myself go really high, but I loved it anyway. When I go past one I have to honestly stop myself from going on one. Mainly because when I’m walking past one I am usually walking by myself, or on my way to work, so it’d probably seem a little weird.

What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)

Oh gosh, there is so much that I have learnt in my life time. Where do I talk about the most important? I think the most important to is to remember to be kind and to keep laughing. I made this silly comment the other day on Facebook, one that I thought was nothing really. It was about stop making nothingpeoplefamous (ie Milo Yiannopoulos). The guy is a nothing, he has no real power, he makes his money off of people’s stupidity. By telling bigoted people what they want to hear (I didn’t put that all in though, just the #stopmakingnothingpeoplefamous…that was it) Oh my goodness this one lady told me to kill myself and that I was clearly a dyke. Her reaction such an OVERREACTION, I genuinely felt bad for her. I genuinely felt bad for her and apart from telling her to get off of Facebook and get a hobby, for genuine concern. Everyone else was attacking her enough.

It made me stop and realise these people I engage with via Trump or SSM or other disagreements, these people tend to just follow what they’ve been told with no actual research. On Twitter they just tend to retweet things and I feel sorry for them. Their world must be just so small. They probably will never “get it”. Just understand be kind knowing that they probably honestly do not “get it”.

I don’t know where I was going with that,lol.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This is going to sound weird, but I appreciated this week the people that were asking me if I was waiting in line or had I already ordered in such a polite way. I think most of us see strangers mainly on social media these days and all these strangers just generally being nasty to one another. It’s nice to interact with strangers being nice to each other.

I still call Australia home…

32. A city you’ve visited

I guess I would have to talk about Arizona in the United States of America. A few years ago I went there for a few months a time every few months….I would work my butt off in Australia for a few months and then stay in Arizona for a few months.  I was actually dating someone from Arizona and then of course, it just never seemed to work out.

I am grateful for it for a few various reasons. It was the bravest thing I had ever done. Everyone was shocked that I went over there, including myself. I never seemed the type to go over and potentially get stood up in a “foreign” country. Which actually nearly happened, because he went to the area.

Also though it made me brave for so many different reasons. I travelled by myself and I do get airsick. I had to learn to do a lot by myself. Travelling to America taught me how to really cook, rather than just heat things up. Walking around by myself, my partner at the time worked retail at Walmart and it was about 10-15 minute walk. I used to walk around and buy grocery shopping, I learnt a lot to do by myself.

Fake Liebster Award news ~.^

So I decided to “steal this” if you will from the awesome Blogger that is Emilyxonline (Beauty and Lifestyle Blog) Please check her out, it is an amazing Blog! I decided to steal it from her, because I realise it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. These are some great questions!

THE RULES:
Answer the 11 questions that your nominator has asked you.

  1. Nominate 11 other bloggers (with under 200 followers)
  2. Ask your nominees 11 questions.
  3. Let them know you nominated them!

Instead of tagging 11 people, anyone who wants to do this post. feel free too! Make sure to tag me in them so I can read your answers and get to know more about you!!

My questions for all of you:

1. What is one thing you love about yourself?

This has honestly been the hardest question to answer. I’ve been feeling very lost recently and not very respected in a lot of different areas of my life. So it’s hard to think there is anything lovable there. The one thing I do love about myself is that no matter what I’m going through, I do not take my stuff out on those who have done me no wrong.
2. If you had the chance to meet your favorite youtuber, who would it be and why?

I never have but I would love too! Their “career” isn’t really YouTubing, but their YouTube channel is now apart of their career. I suggest that if you’ve watched RuPaul’s Drag Race, or are aware of the Drag scene. Please check out “Bro’Laska“…It’s such a great and funny channel! This link is for their play list. You will not be disappointed! They have made me laugh and gotten me through some really depressing nights. If I’m in a bad way, I will play their videos before I fall asleep. Unfortunately, there last few videos have been extremely short.
3. Have you ever traveled out of your country? If so, where did you go?

I have, I live in Australia. I’ve travelled too two places, one was the United States and the other was the UK. I loved both places, they were so gorgeous and I travelled to the US and then UK straight after and the difference in the greenery, was shocking! I couldn’t get over it! Literally, lol.
4. One quote you will always stand by?

I will always stand by the Quote:

Will Shakespeare

It was written by the one and only William Shakespeare, but it is also on my Great Grandfathers head stone. I feel like we have lost this a lot, and it is probably the hardest thing to do in this world. Especially in the world we live in, with all the photo shop and filters and this almost “need” to have the best of everything, even if we don’t really want it. I think we need hold to this quote more than ever. In a world where people don’t want to listen to other sides and just want to bully, it can be tiring to fight for ourselves, but we need to more than ever!
5. Favorite childhood memory?

This is an interesting question, because my answer is a weird one. Whenever my brother and I would both get grounded at the same time, especially if it was an all-nighter one. We would sit in our bedroom door frames with our pillow and blankets and just talk to each other. We were probably being punished because we were doing something to each other, but we would just sit, talk and joke. I can’t even tell you what we even talked about, or why we were grounded, but they were honestly my favourite times.

6. Advice you would give your teenage daughter (if you ever have one)?

The best advice that would probably give her is that, she needs to decide for herself what is right and what is wrong, ultimately she is the one that HAS to live with that decision. If she knows that something is wrong and she goes through with it anyways. I will be there, but she has to be willing to follow through with the consequences of her actions. That whatever her decision, she needs to be willing to take responsibility for that choice.  For example, if she walks pass someone being bullied, she needs to really ask herself “Why”…I think that I’m pretty harsh sometimes, lol
7. Are you more of an eyeshadow or lipstick lover?

Definitely a lipstick lover. I am so low maintenance and trying to do all that stuff to your eye, it’s a lot of work, lol…I also do love though how lipstick just seems to give me that feeling of “I am finally ready, this is it”. “This is me for the whole day/evening/party.” I tend to put lipstick on last. I tend to just put an eye liner on. Sometimes I will put eye-shadow on, but it is really rare and usually I have practised with the colour (or colours) earlier.
8. Favorite high-end foundation (if you have one) and favorite drugstore foundation?

I don’t really have one to be honest.
9. How often do you wash your makeup brushes/sponges?

As mentioned before I am really low maintenance when it comes to make-up. So I don’t really clean that that often, because I don’t really use them that much. Most of the things I use, don’t really need to use makeup brushes and sponges. If I ever have to use that kind of makeup, I’ve probably borrowed it from my brother…He’s a Drag Queen =D lol Far more make up maintenance than me,lol
10. Favorite thing to do on the weekend?

I love to sit down, with a cup of tea/coffee, play “The Sims” and then watch “Safari Live“. Oh I love it! I would literally do it every single day if I could =D Please feel free to join us…I’ll be there! If the weather is nice, I will go for a walk with my Dog and usually walk by the shop, buy a nice lunch, just before the drive.

11. What do you like about my blog?

I like how your Blog is relatable, even though I am low maintenance when it comes to make up, I don’t feel like it’s too extreme, that I just don’t get it. It’s also given me a few handy tips as well, so I don’t need to take so long, lol. I really enjoyed your “Get UNready with me” post, as I feel like I have no idea what I should be doing at night, but should be doing something! I also didn’t know that you lived in Australia at that point, lol

If you decide that you would like to do this award. Below I have written 11 questions as well for you too answer, please link me as well so I can read you answers =D

  1. Tell us a bit about your favourite book and it’s author.

  2. Which is your favourite season and why?

  3. Do you have family in other countries?

  4. When it’s your “weekend” what is the thing you love to do the most?

  5. Do you have an amazing cold/flu remedy…Care to share?

  6. What would be a show that people would be surprised that you watch?

  7. Which Superhero or Villain do you think is “you”? Is there multiple?

  8. Do you have a hobby that is not “usual”. (I know someone who raises Ostriches)

  9. When it came to the hardest choices you have to make in life, how do you deal with it? Do you confront them head on, do you make a con and pro list?

  10. If you could invent one invention, what would it do and be for?

  11. If you were given the funds to create a conservation park, but it could only be for ONE endangered animal, which one would it be for?

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

Oh wow, this is a good question! There is so much that I have not done yet that I really want too. Just even simple things, I would love to be brave enough to bleach my hair and dye it a bright red or a gorgeous purple. There are even simple things that I want too do that I have yet too do.

How often do you get a haircut?

This is a really good question, since my hair is probably at this moment right at the top of my behind, possibly a little below there. I don’t think I’ve cut it in months, I reckon it might even be around August last year. That was when I first developed my anxiety and I had a hard time just sitting and being patient. Now I’ve just gotten to the place where I can’t be bothered cutting it, but I need too. My hair keeps getting caught on doorknobs and things.

In regards to puzzle what’s your choice: jigsaw, crossword, word search or numeric puzzles?

I love a good word search. It really does get my attention focused.

How many cities have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities.

I guess that I lived in two altogether. The first is the city where I currently live at the moment, South Australia. The other city that I have mainly lived in was Arizona. I was dating someone from there, and the first time I went over there everyone thought that I was crazy. Now I look back and I can’t even believe that I did this. I don’t think that I could do it now.
