Nurture Thursday – Always on Time

Nurt Thurs – Always on time

I will get to a good saying about Always on Time. But how disrespected do you feel about people who are always late for you! I think it’s the height of rudeness. I used to have a friend, never late for work, but always late for gatherings with family and friends. We lost so many tables, because of her. The funeral I went to last week, my partner got mad at one of his cousins. We didn’t see the guy when the funeral started, we didn’t see his cousin until after the funeral. Then the cousin went onto Facebook and said how much of a sham it was, because they didn’t give priority sitting to family…Well, maybe you had gotten there on time.

I’ll tell you what is never on time, my sciatica, always shows up when I don’t want it too. Like right now. Although, I never want sciatica on time either, lol

I choose to go with the plain questions, as I am not a fan of the Harry Potter author, lol. She makes me feel physically ill.

“Plain” Questions:

Would You Rather Live 120 Years That Are Comfortable But Boring, Or Live Half As Long, But Have An Exciting Adventure Packed Life?

I think I would like to live the 120 years, but boring life. Nothing wrong with boring, as long as well though, I live alright into my 120 years. No point if I’m a vegetable or something.

What’s Something That Overwhelms You?

Twitter can sometimes overwhelm me. I start to realise after a bit, that I am just on it a bit TOO much. Then when I hop off of it, I feel so much better and then for the first couple of weeks, I don’t really go on…Then something always sucks me back in.

What Do or DID You Take For Granted?

I try not too, and I can’t remember the last time I did. But I think the thing I take mostly for granted is probably time. It has a lot to do with fear. Fear of myself, fear that I will fail. I guess in that way I take time for granted, no one is guaranteed the next day. I really have to get over my fears.

Gratitude:   Please feel free to share some gratitude moments or thoughts you’ve had recently.  This section is entirely optional.

Just being here and still being alive.

QUESTIONS:

How can someone win a gold star (i.e. win your approval and/or admiration) with you?

Honestly, just being kind, and having some common sense these days. I have a post scheduled later today and I write about the insane day I just had. Kindness and Common sense just seem like such easy things to do, but they seem so difficult for a lot of people.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

To be honest, I might end up wasting it. I’m probably taking this to out of the box. If we all didn’t have to sleep, would there would places you could go at night? Kind of like New York, my town there’s not much to do at night.

Do you have a favourite type of exercise?

I love to dance. I try to do it as often as I can these days, mainly around the house. But still dancing.

Do you sleep with a top sheet? Why or why not?

Even during Summer sometimes I will sleep with a top sheet. I think that my body doesn’t regulate too well. A lot of the times in Australia a lot of people will either leave their air-conditioning, or they will put the fans on. I cannot begin to tell you how many times, IN SUMMER. I have had to put winter pjs on because it’s so cold! It’s ridiculous! I still think it’s how you get summer colds, going from one extreme temperature to another.

This is your space to write about anything you’d like.   I’m GRATEFUL for your participation in Share Your World, so there’s the “gratitude” hook.

I am grateful that my readers on WordPress give me such sanity in a crazy world!

Unpopular Opinion #2

I have seen a lot of people saying that their Democratic candidate isn’t getting enough talking time, mainly Yang and Tulsi “gangs.” Here’s the thing though, what do they do to deserve the time? They’re not top candidates, they are right at the bottom. At this point, I’m still surprised that they’re trying to run at this point.

If you are a Yang Gang or Tulsi Gang, what do you think they have to offer that the others don’t? I’m not sure what they have. There are a lot of worthy candidates out there, what is it about these two, that make go crazy? I don’t want to hear anything derogatory towards other Candidates.

Just what they can offer, that others cannot.

Now Fight!

It’s funny in a way, I started to write this Blog post and scheduled it a couple of weeks ago. Every time I came back to it, I couldn’t remember the initial thought I had to write this, but everything around the world…This is my current mood. I think it’s a lot of people’s mood right now.

Fighting for/within ourselves, fighting for each other, fighting against each other.

It’s time to recharge and be kind to ourselves!

Take the time:

  1. Have a cup of tea
  2. Buy that thing you know you want (as long as you’ve got the money and it wont make you bankrupt).
  3. Dance like no one is watching.
  4. Meditate
  5. Read a good book. Whether that’s an old book or a new one!
  6. Play a favourite game!
  7. I know it’s tempting to reach for that piece of chocolate…Reach for the Fruit instead!
  8. Take a quick walk.

How I spent my week…

If you haven’t started reading my Blog just this week, then you’ll know I was house sitting for my Mum and I was alone a lot this week.

  • In the end I had 6 bags of clothes and two bag of shoes. Now I’m just deciding whether or not to try and sell my shoes to friends first before giving them away.
  • Many walks with the dog. They were so funny, because we’ve got her this harness that goes around the chest, instead of the neck. She is so tiny though, one leg pops out, at least one street at a time, lol.
  • Finding out about mindfulness. It’s interesting, I heard about mindfulness, but did not understand what it was. I thought it was just part of meditation. I think I’ll write a post more about it.
  • I got so many Christmas presents. All under $50 =D Like altogether under 50. I’ve knocked off a couple of people =D
  • I was constantly cooking too much, I kept having reheated meals. I kept cooking for two or more, when there was only myself.

Do you use paper money? If so is your money organized sequentially according to denomination?

Oh my goodness, I do both of these! I still prefer using paper money, I will use “pay wave” and the like, but I feel REALLY uncomfortable doing it. Where is my information going, is it being stored?….I know…paranoia! I do also organise my money, I have to “notes” section in my wallet. One side will have $5 and $10, the other $20 and $50.

You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?

Some might say too much so! Although I guess a lot of time reading. When it gets cooler in Summer and when Spring starts, sometimes I just like to sit outside and enjoy the water. Usually my cat or dog hangs around me and I play with them, but I’m usually just sitting.

What is your greatest strength?

I’d have to say it’s my Heart. I don’t want to sound completely up myself. It’s a little ironic really as well. My great grandparents on my Mum’s side, just dropped, their hearts gave out. My Dad has had a triple bypass. While I say my hearts my greatest strength. I don’t necessarily mean physically. I’m one of those seemingly rare people, who just because I had a bad day or a bad sleep, doesn’t mean I become a raving lunatic. I can still be there for others, no matter what I’m going through. What I have to learn is to make sure people don’t take advantage of that.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I made myself smile this week. For the longest time since I’ve had these anxiety issues, I’ve really struggled getting on buses…Which since I don’t drive, it’s become very costly. I decided by myself, that I am going to reduce the number of taxis and Uber I take. The best present, I decided, to give myself, is to save some money and take another step forward in controlling my anxiety. SO I did it and I’ve already saved myself in this one week over a hundred dollars =D

Time

Currently and at the moment I am reading Kresley Cole’s “Endless Knights”.

IMG_20180122_103747_770

Straight away I was thinking “It has been  at least a couple of years since I’ve read “Poison Princess” and I have remembered…Nothing!”

Then it got me thinking how often does this happen to others?…As I read on, because I was enjoying it, I started to remember bits and pieces. However, I did think, some series’s that I’ve read…The next book in the series will give a bit of an explanation of what happened before. I felt like this book “Endless Knight” was missing a lot of that…and it really needs it! It talked about the relationships and what happened previously, but even that I felt was very scarce. There was not enough description of the monsters and how the character had encountered them before…It just feels like that little bit of detail is missing.

What about you readers, have you read a series with a large time gap in-between?
