Just when you thought you knew everything about your partner…

… You realise that you don’t.

But not in a bad way, just a surprising way.

I must start off with saying that I am not actually getting married. Sometimes I like to consider these things. You know how I don’t want just a white wedding dress, I want a dress that represents me, and all white, is not me, lol. I need something with a little something different.

I just found recently though my partner wants me to wear all white, because his family are a bit funny with things like that. So, yes, a red wedding dress is apparently completely out.

It did really make me think about though how often my partner still surprises me, lol. I didn’t think he’d care about anything about a wedding, maybe the food (haha) but that was it.

What about you and your partner, or any partners from your past?

On a completely different note, what is IT, with other people thinking they can tell you what to do for your wedding? Like your marrying someone for them, because of them, not other people, lol. I already thought I might have to get bridezilla on my own side, but I will with anyone else too, lol.

Questions:

  •  Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?

Depends on the surprise to be honest. My partner remembering a figurine that I wanted on my birthday, when I had forgotten. I wanted it around Christmas, but it definitely wasn’t going to come out then. My partners mother showing up unannounced every time she’s in town, not such a nice surprise. She’s lovely, don’t get me wrong. But the amount of times we’ve been going out somewhere and we’ve had to cancel. She doesn’t send a text, she just rocks up. She lives three hours away, so it’s not like she’s popping in all the time. Last time I knew she was going to be around, I nearly bought extra food for her, but she never ended up staying, lol. The problem is we don’t know when she’s coming down either, she doesn’t actually tell anyone either way.

  • What’s your favorite zoo animal?

It’ll always be the Lion/Lionesess. Like others though, I have hate/love relationships with Zoos. Some zoos out there are absolutely shocking, and the animals would actually have a better chance being free than in those places. Some Zoo’s though do actually really good work with conservation. During the up coming Christmas/Summer holidays, were planning on going to Monarto Zoo. Where you … the human … go into the cage while the Lions walk over you, well not literally on you of course. They even have a baby rhino you can “meet”, but I think that ends before we plan on going.

  •  What three things do you think of the most each day?

At the moment, when will this pain sciatica end. Will it ever go away.

Okay, don’t eat far too much today. You’re doing great and you’re stomach hasn’t been in pain for a month now…Keep going!

Underwear…Yes or Nay, lol

‘Deep’ Question

When, if ever, is taking a human life justified?

As others have said, I have no problem with euthanasia for people. After watching my Grandfather die of MRSA getting into his lungs. I don’t know how one couldn’t. We do it for our pets, because they’re in pain. Why we don’t for humans, who are terminal in pain and tired of fighting. Why we don’t, I don’t know. Saying that, I couldn’t actually do it myself.

Is it bad as well, that when I hear prolific child molesters getting killed in jail. I don’t feel bad. I also have no idea how I’d be if I saw someone trying to kill a child, or my someone I care about. I think, in the moment, I could.

Do small miracles exist?

Oh absolutely! You don’t have to look hard to find them either.

QUESTIONS:

Can you bake a cake?   (credit for this question goes to Di, who asked it on her post recently.   Thanks Di! After last week’s SYW, we needed a little bit of sweet and light!)

https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/02/29/its-a-mystery/

I can technically bake a cake, whether that’s baking well or not is another matter. I actually prefer to bake cookies. I LOVE cookies, and it seems everyone else bakes cakes in my family anyway. I think once I have kids, I’ll probably have to more, but basically I can, but I prefer cookies =D

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Without a doubt, both of the furbabies instantly make the day better. Even when you go to the rubbish bin, they are just so genuinely happy to see you. Of course as well, when you get that package you’ve been waiting for, sometimes you think it’s gotten lost and then you realise…It has not! Or starting to read a really good book.

When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?

I ate it all, baby!

What’s something your family would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m not actually sure to be honest. They know pretty well, I haven’t really hid anything from them. The only thing I’ve hidden from them is the fact that my anxiety tablets made me depressed there for a bit.

AND (of course)

GRATITUDE IS AN ATTITUDE!

Please feel free to share some gratitude from this past week (or month or year).  This is purely optional of course, but it does tend to uplift everyone (I happen to think) to read some happy and/or joyful thoughts or view some uplifting pictures.    Thank you if you do so!

Just having another day here. With the ability to stay off social media if I so choose. I guess I feel grateful that I have choices.

This or That? #91

This week Bookmark Chronicles would like to know:

If your favorite author released a surprise novel today, how likely are you to buy it?

Buying it for sure ~ Very likely ~ Somewhat likely ~ Not likely – Not buying it

I am totally buying it!

Especially at the moment, I was sooooooo lucky this Christmas and my brother bought me a Dymocks $100 gift certificate. I’ve already bought a couple of books with it, and I couldn’t definitely afford another one. Since it’s already been my birthday and it’s not close enough to ask for it for Christmas, I would definitely be getting it when it comes out. I don’t think that I could not buy it to be honest, lol

Share Your World … Week 40

Share Your World … Week 40

  • Why did you start blogging?
  • I honestly started Blogging because of a school project, we had to create some kind of different form of social media and communication. That wasn’t either Facebook or Twitter. We had a good amount of other sites we could have chosen, but I went with WordPress and the rest, as they say, is history.
  • A piece of clothing you still remember?
  • I remember my very first “skort”. If you don’t know what a “skort” is, it’s a skirt that had a pair of shorts underneath, and it was pink. I loved it, but because my Mum did not think it was fashionable enough, she wouldn’t always wash it. My mum used to not wash things of mine if she didn’t like, or very rarely. I think she felt as a single mother that she had to put a certain “look” forward otherwise people would question whether or not she was coping being a single mother.
  • Who are you trying to reach with your blog?
  • I’m not really trying to reach a group or a someone. I feel like this is my safe space, this Blog has made me feel a lot more safer, a lot more confident in what I’m thinking. I guess you might even say that I am trying to reach myself, trying to reach what makes me “me”. Everyone is on that kind of a journey. I just like to learn and share things along the way. I feel like, on here, I am being reached.
  • Is there a stuffed animal in your bedroom?
  • Some people may say that for a 32 year old I have too many stuffed animals in my room! I have slowly been getting rid of them over the last couple of years, and some are in “storage” for my children, later on. Most of the stuffed animals I have, I’ve had since childhood and my teenage years, I’d say 90% of them. Stuffed animals are just great for hugging, and I am extremely private person. I don’t like people worrying about me, especially if they are not the ones that hurt me, so I’ll cry or yell into my stuffed animals.
  • The best birthday present ever?
  • I’m not honestly sure that I can say I have received the best birthday present ever yet. Birthdays are not my favourite things, they tend to disappoint me. I have gotten some nice presents, but I’m not sure I can honestly say that I’ve received a great one. When I first saw this question, nothing really stuck out in my head. I have had some fantastic birthday parties though! Those has been fun, especially my 30th, I wish I could do that every year…If I was rich, I would do it as well.
  • What would surprise me about you?
  • I’m not sure what would honestly surprise people, I’m a pretty open book. I think what would surprise people is how much I’ve been through and what I know is inside of me and how much I fight every day just to feel normal. I told someone once a lot about what had happened to me and then couldn’t get over how nice I am after it all. My tolerance level for what others would consider “mean” and fight back against, seems to be different to a lot of people? One ex, for example, I ended up helping a lot of the girls he cheated one me with, to help get over him. He had made them feel like he was going to break up with me for them, and then he never did. Yet, could not figure why they got so upset with him when he started dating someone else entirely. Things like that, I felt really bad for them, whereas most girls would think they deserve to feel the heartbreak he caused them. A lot had to do with I had accepted the fact that we were just going nowhere with the relationship, and I had been abused in a relationship before. So I felt like he wasn’t a bad person, he was just…an idiot, lol.
