Remind yourselves

In 2022, I would love to see a lot less of the “I hate it when people do this on my blog”…blogs. I get it’s annoying, but it just puts myself right off of Bloggers. Sometimes I have even gone to like a post, and then reminded myself that that Blogger has written that they can’t stand it when someone likes their posts but never comments.

You know what?

I have days where that’s all my brain can do. I read something I like, in the moment, I may not even know what I like about that post, I just do. Do I REALLY have to justify why I like EVERY SINGLE POST? It’s too much pressure, especially when this is supposed to be an outlet for myself.

No offence to anyone, but get yourselves.

Discord Update

So I asked what you would like to see more on a Discord Book channel and you let me know! So I’ve added a channel called “Book Style“. While the original post was about style in general, I have found over the years. That there are lots of “bookish styles” both dressup and every day. I’ve added the channel and I’m hoping to have a bookish feel to it more.

Men and Women of course! Men read and have style too! I would actually really LOVE to see how bookish outfits you may have had over the years. They can be costumes, or something you wear every day. I got the ball rolling, pop over and have a look! I think it’d be a great place to swap style ideas as well. Myself, I love to thrift shop. You can find so many styles there! I might actually start taking pictures of any “book” styles I have,lol.

QUESTIONS:

What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery or came into a huge fortune? 

I have often thought about it (We have one today…that is 100 hundred million dollars!). Can you imagine it? The first thing I would is pay off my parents mortgages, IF, they still wanted to stay in their current locations. I think they would, too be honest. It’d all be getting property and seeing a financial investment. I wouldn’t want a fancy multi million dollar house. I’d just want something comfortable and close to a lot of easy access.

Which decade do you think had the best sense of style?

Oh my god, if I and everyone else could dress like they did the 60’s. I would be so happy. I feel like that is my style era. I should seriously dress like that more!

…Or maybe it’s an Austin Powers thing?lol

Would you rather be half your height or double your weight?

Oh god! That’s the choice?lol. Since I’m trying to lose weight at the moment, I don’t really want to double my weight. I’m short, but I could probably live life even shorter,lol.

If you wanted to get away from everyone totally, where would you hide?

Depending on the time of year, if it was warmer I would stay in a beach town somewhere. Or if it’s colder, somewhere where you can have an open fire place (as long as someone else makes the fire,lol).

I’m very lucky there isn’t a lot in my life that I don’t love. Even where I work, I wish I had more permanent hours, but I really enjoy who I work with.

7 FACTS ABOUT ME:

1. I have been seeing a hypnotherapist for about 5 months about, my first appointment was in December. I have learnt that Hypnotherapy wont work for everyone, it is helping me too manage my anxiety issues, but I have noticed that I’m not “cured” either. Hypnotherapy won’t work on everyone and it works at different levels for people and my Hypnotherapist made that very clear too me on the very first visit and I think that’s why I respect him so much.
2. I’m at a point in my life where I feel completely torn all the time. It’s very stressful. Whenever I’m at my partners hour I miss my house and my dog and my Mum and my bed, and then when I’m at my home I miss everything about my Partner and his cat. I’m trying to move into my partners house, but finding a permanent job up there is proving difficult.
3. I’m at that point where I very much dislike going on Facebook or Instagram, the only place I really enjoy going “on” anymore is Twitter. I have a feeling that’s because you don’t always get a lot of “suggested” posts on there. You get to see what you want too see. You also don’t get other peoples suggested posts, because they’re posting horrible things. Even the promoted ads don’t bug me.
4. The last couple of years I’ve been chucking things out, and oh my goodness, I have a lot of stuff! Just recently we’ve been going through a lot of boxes that haven’t been opened in about 10 years, I have a lot of stuff!
5. Writing about having a lot of stuff. At the end of each season I wash all the Summer/Winter/Spring and Autumn clothing that I wore during that season and start chucking out the tops/pants etc that I did not wear during that season. Usually as a season ends I realise how much clothing I have and they don’t all fit in again. In the first couple of weeks as the new season begins I will chuck out clothing from the last season.
6. I have Googled myself and I can’t find much on myself. It actually takes me quiet a while to find myself anywhere, which is kind of great too. Even my Facebook profile, because I use a nickname as my last name. So people have a hard time finding me. There’s some good tricks there!
7. I’m very low maintenance ,style wise, it’s probably border line lazy to some. Even brushing my hair annoys me at the moment, but that’s probably because it’s really long and takes me about 10-15 minutes to brush it and still ends up in a huge knot 30 minutes later.

Mama Preached!

Oh my goodness, normally my Mother pays me out non-stop whenever I buy a dress. Mainly because I buy these gorgeous dresses and then never wear them out. Nearly, at least every third night, I do some online retail window shopping. This night I’ve been looking and showing my mum these gorgeous dresses and outfits….Do you know what my Mum said “Well maybe gorgeous dresses and playsuits, should be your style”.

So pretty much since my Mother gave me her blessing I’ve already bought two!lol

Share Your World – 2015 Week #36

If you were a pen, what type, style and color would you be?

Oh, this a good one! I think that I would have to be a purple pen…It’s a bit different from the other “normal” colours, but it’s not quiet sparkly as the gold and silver pens. I’d probably be a basic design pen, but I’d be a bit different from the normal colours…I haven’t reached my full sparkle.

How many languages do you you speak?

I only speak English really =/ Which I think is actually really unfortunate. I can, however, count up to 10 in German =D

Are you a listener or talker?

I am definitely a listener. I find it hard to open up, even with my nearest and dearest. Plus sometimes it feels like what I have to say may sound silly and I can get paranoid about it. I have become more of a talker this year, but that’s down to a lot I am just kind of sick and tired of seeing all these injustices.

Rather Have:  Which would you rather have, 2 million dollars or true love? 

Can’t I have both?lol … After what I’ve got with my new partner, I’ll take the true love…I’ve had bad love and no amount of money can make you happy…Retail shopping will last for about an hour, maybe,lol

Fashion Tips from Belle…OMD style

I have been noticing lately that my posts have been a little bit depressing, I hate being mad and sad, I really do hate it, but hey, I can’t be perfect 100% of the time =P Something about birthdays that make me depressed, it’s not the getting older part. It’s the way that I always feel like something is missing from my birthdays. Either I get a whole pile of presents that make me feel guilty because I look at them and go “Do you people know me at all?” and you have to do something with them…

I love this site, they have so many types of Blogs based all on everything Disney related. One I reently happened to stumble upon was Belle’s Fashion tips.

It is really quite interesting, it takes a look at all of Belle’s fashion style and what she wears, but the main emphasis being on “be yourself” wear your style, your way. Go and have a look!

 

Blogging…What’s it all about?

I was linked to a Blog a little while ago and it’s stuck with me for a while, mainly because it started out as a good acknowledgement, but then my Blog was called “Simple and…Stupid”…I don’t think that it was meant with harm or harshness. The word “stupid” though obviously stuck with me and I didn’t know whether or not to say “Thank you”.

It’s stayed with me and ever since then it’s been bothering me and I have been trying to “improve” my Blog ever since. With anything that makes you feel like you need to change when you didn’t think there was a problem before, I couldn’t come up with anything mind blowing or life changing. I have my moments with those things, but I can never force myself to think that well 24/7.

SO I’ve been getting upset, but then I started to think. I don’t need my Blog to be complicated and thought-provoking ALL the time. I don’t mind my Blog seeming “simple” to people. Life is full of enough complications and as much as I want my Blog to feel good to others and uplift people, it doesn’t always have to be the most “complicated” Blog to achieve this. I have a personal journal where I write a lot of my thoughts, come up with sayings and express a dark part of myself.

If you want a Blog with simple thoughts by a girl whose’s just going through life as we all do at our own pace, this is the one for you. I have my complicated thoughts, but I don’t think that’s what I’m here for, others may be, but I am not and I am okay with this. There are plenty of Blogs within WordPress with amazing writers, but never forget the little tiny bits that make up a day either. I think this Blogging site IS like a Library, full of different topics, experiences and types of writers that appeal to different people of different backgrounds.

Just one piece of advice, write your blog for YOU…You wont last with blogging if you are trying to be the next “big thing”. I consider myself to be an “expert”, if you will, with simple things, because I don’t understand making things more complicated than they are. I guess this has been reflecting in my Blog and I am alright with that. Oh! Don’t call another Blog stupid either, no matter the circumstances.
