White Women Victimhood Package

Seriously, as a white woman, I would really love to know, lol. Is there some sort of white woman, victimhood package. Where a white woman is completely in the wrong, but then she gets to go on this “Victimhood” tour, where she gets to complain how much SHE was hurt. While the people that have been hurt, are ignored?

I’m talking about:

  • Suzanne Moore
  • Sharon Osbourne
  • Kelly Osbourne
  • All Trumps Media “advisors”.
  • Well, every Trump Government advisor or head of department.
  • Amanda Stoker
  • Bettina Arndt
  • JK Rowling

I know all about free speech, but sometimes I just want to say to these women and some white men too. SHUT UP AND ACTUALLY LISTEN FOR ONCE. Where I hear more about how you are not listening, rather than the people you’re not listening too, it’s actually really embarrassing to me, and I don’t understand how it’s not embarrassing to them? I don’t care that Sharon Osbourne doesn’t understand a WOC point of view, so she got defensive. LISTEN THEN! Shut up and listen. And if you continue not to understand, you most definitely don’t speak over the WOC trying to explain it to you. You will never learn if you’re constantly talking over the people you’re harming.

Just listen white ladies.

This Week’s Questions:

Are You A Better Listener or Speaker?

I am definitely a better listener, people come to me a lot with needing someone to listen to them. Speaking, my brain tends to go faster than my mouth, so it’s makes no sense. One of the reasons I love to Blog, I can write what I am thinking. Then can rewrite or edit if it’s all jumbled up.  Sometimes I can think faster than I write as well!

If You Were Asked To Design A Warning Label That Would Be Tattooed On Your Skin, What Would It Say?

(Credit for this question goes to a blogger I’ve just started following.  You can read more about her by clicking here. )

I’m stealing a quote here “And though she may be but little, she is fierce”

What Are You Passionate About?

I think I am passionate about anything that is creative. Anyway to look at something in a new way. I love coming up with new new ideas that I can use creatively.

If You Could Change One Thing About Your World, What Would It Be?

I wish that I wasn’t such a bad procrastinator! I am probably one of the worst, you’ll ever meet! I’ve got all these projects started and then…that’s it. I wish I could change that about myself.

And Finally:

What Gave You A Reason To Smile This Past Week?

I started a diary, one that you actually write in, not like a Blog. A personal diary.

One Voice Day

FOR PEACE!

One Voice Day

Although this not an official holiday, I do like the idea of this day.

Here is The Universal Peace Covenant

Peace is the breath of our spirit.

It wells up from within the depths of our being to refresh, to heal, to inspire.

Peace is our birthright.

Its eternal presence exists within us as a memory of where we have come from and as a vision of where we yearn to go.

Our world is in the midst of change.
For millennia, we have contemplated, reasoned, and practiced the idea of peace. Yet the capacity to sustain peace eludes us. To transcend the limits of our own thinking we must acknowledge that peace is more than the cessation of conflict. For peace to move across the face of the earth we must realize, as the great philosophers and leaders before us, that all people desire peace. We hereby acknowledge this truth that is universal. Now humanity must desire those things that make for peace.

We affirm that peace is an idea whose time has come.
We call upon humanity to stand united, responding to the need for peace. We call upon each individual to create and foster a personal vision for peace. We call upon each family to generate and nurture peace within the home. We call upon each nation to encourage and support peace among its citizens. We call upon each leader, be they in the private home, house of worship or place of labor, to be a living example of peace for only in this way can we expect peace to move across the face of the earth.

World Peace begins within ourselves.
Arising from the spirit peace seeks expression through the mind, heart, and body of each individual. Government and laws cannot heal the heart. We must transcend whatever separates us. Through giving love and respect, dignity and comfort, we come to know peace. We learn to love our neighbors as we love ourselves bringing peace into the world. We hereby commit ourselves to this noble endeavor.

Peace is first a state of mind.
Peace affords the greatest opportunity for growth and learning which leads to personal happiness. Self-direction promotes inner peace and therefore leads to outer peace. We vow to heal ourselves through forgiveness, gratitude, and prayer. We commit to causing each and every day to be a fulfillment of our potential, both human and divine.

Peace is active, the motion of silence, of faith, of accord, of service.
It is not made in documents but in the minds and hearts of men and women. Peace is built through communication. The open exchange of ideas is necessary for discovery, for well-being, for growth, for progress whether within one person or among many. We vow to speak with sagacity, listen with equanimity, both free of prejudice, thus we will come to know that peace is liberty in tranquility.

Peace is achieved by those who fulfill their part of a greater plan.
Peace and security are attained by those societies where the individuals work closely to serve the common good of the whole. Peaceful coexistence between nations is the reflection of man’s inner tranquility magnified. Enlightened service to our fellowman brings peace to the one serving, and to the one receiving. We vow to live in peace by embracing truths that apply to us all.

Living peaceably begins by thinking peacefully.
We stand on the threshold of peace-filled understanding. We come together, all of humanity, young and old of all cultures from all nations. We vow to stand together as citizens of the Earth knowing that every question has an answer, every issue a resolution. As we stand, united in common purpose, we hereby commit ourselves in thought and action so we might know the power of peace in our lifetimes.

Peace be with us all ways. May Peace Prevail On Earth.

Ladies! Listen Up!

What is it lately with the ladies? Every time I see a women come forward about their experiences with assault. The majority of people who attack these people after they have come forward…are women?

What is up with that?!

I feel lately that I’ve been posting this in a lot of these “women” comments. I’m sure some of you have seen this:

Art Exhibit Powerfully Answers the question “What were you wearing?”

Too break it down. The Exhibit shows the clothes of women (not sure if there are guys in the exhibit) who were raped and what they were wearing at the time. You’ll probably find that the majority of the time it’s by a friend or someone you know, and you’re not wearing anything sexy at all. All the women I know, that’s exactly what happened. I think only one was raped by someone she didn’t know, but she was wearing a school uniform.

So what’s up ladies, why the hating? I think most of my readers don’t think this way, but I would love to know why other women attack other women and ask the question “What were you wearing? See the twitter feed below to see what I mean: (Will warn you first…Trump supporters here). You’ll probably notice that most of the “attackers” ARE women.

I just recently got into an argument with a lot of women who were standing up for Aziz Anir…Now I believe he didn’t realise that the woman was uncomfortable, but it was absolutely shocking to me how many women were saying “She could have just left”. Do these woman know nothing at all? The thing that were making me saddest about the comments are that men are finally getting it. Maybe just maybe if women weren’t so fearful of being killed…They could just have the strength to leave.

Men are killing thousands of women a year for saying No

How many languages do you you speak?

I only speak the one language, unfortunately. I can say bits and pieces of German, but they are very small  bits and pieces. I can count to 10, say good morning and good night, mother and father and that is it really.  I would love to be able to speak another language, but I struggle with English as it is,lol.

What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating?

  • Reading: Hindsight by Melaine Casey. I’m actually reading 3 different books right now,lol
  • Watching: I’m not really watching a series or anything right now, I have a lot of stuff taped though that I’m getting through.
  • Listening: I’ve been listening too  a lot of Fantasy and Celtic type music. I’ve been getting back into meditating, crafty things and I find this kind of music helps me to keep creative.
  • Eating: I’ve been trying to eat a lot more healthy at the moment, I’m hoping it’ll help with my anxiety issues. I think it actually is making a difference, I am noticing the differences, because I am now aware of the differences.

What was the last photo you took with your phone?

Grumpy Cat,lol

What is your favorite time of day?

This can depend on the day as well honestly, if I’m not working I enjoy the actual day, especially when I’m doing chores around the house, or I’m doing things that make me feel like I’ve done something with my day off. On the day that I’m working or get called in (because I’m a causal) my favourite time would be between that time when you first get home and that time when you’re start getting dinner ready.

You do You and no one else…

So I was having an argument with someone that was hating on a celebrity and that was the really odd thing to me. I feel really sorry for celebrities sometimes, they just cannot win. They get told to shut up and who cares about the opinions of a celebrity, but then if they say nothing either they are considered “problematic”…Now I know this may come as a shock to some…

We own no one and maybe some things to some people are just private…No celebrity on this earth is obligated to speak or not to speak.

It also made me start thinking about how weird some people hating on a celebrity. I actually think it’s weird to hate on a celebrity than to like one, or have a crush on one. By “hate” I don’t mean you just dislike the person, but you actively try to destroy that persons career, or for every single positive comments towards a celebrity, they have to make a negative or demeaning comment…Usually towards another stranger,

How is it a normal thing to actively hate on people you don’t know? Don’t these people have anything better to do? Doesn’t your world have enough problems?

Celebrities are their own people and just like you and me they have things they like to keep to themselves and it’s personal for them and that’s fine.

thats-fine

In a time that is just so uncertain and every day something worse seems to happen, it’s even more important than ever to be truly true to who we are. Someone made a really good point as well. Instead of focusing SO much on the celebrity that wont talk about the issue you care about, why don’t you use that energy for YOU talk about the cause YOU care about, instead of ignoring it and focusing on somebody else. Generally, most of the time, someone you don’t even know.

If you care, then you talk about that. Don’t worry or stress about someone who doesn’t even know you and what they’re doing. This is your life and do you really want it to be about how you complained about what you thought someone else should be doing with their life? Is that what you really want to be remembered for?

What is your favorite comfort snack food?

I really love Nacho Cheese Doritos, they are so amazing! I could through a whole packet of them, every single time…And I may have…Once…or a few times…But not anymore! I have started to eat more healthy lately, so no more entire packets! I’ve cut down a lot.

Is the paper money in your possession right now organized sequentially according to denomination and with the bills right side up and facing the same way?

It is actually, my purse is a little small so I’ve had too fold the notes in half. I always try to put them in order though, with the smallest amount on the inside.

If you were a mouse in your house in the evening, what would you see your family doing?

Not much to be honest, especially at the moment, I’ve been sick the last couple of weeks. Generally I end up playing some kind of computer and will get on Facebook…and WordPress at some point. My Mum goes to meditation once a month.

Would you rather not be able to read or not be able to speak?

I honestly would rather not be able to read, because I could honestly listen to audio books and possibly get other people to read to me. Not being able to speak seems completely terrifying to me. I may not be able to speak well sometimes, but when I do, it’s honest and full.

Humanity

I just wanted to start off with saying that I actually had another post ready to go today, but there is no way that I can post that post and ignore what’s going on in Dallas and the bad situation over there.

So much is wrong with this whole situation and I would be shocked to find anyone who didn’t see something like this coming. There’s only so much people should have to live with, no one should feel unsafe in their own car, in their own home, in their own neighbourhood.

I am very lucky living in Australia, and here “Down Under” I feel safe and it feels partly wrong to write about another country. In some ways though, I also feel like we all live on this planet together and there are just sometimes where you have to stand shoulder to shoulder with others, even if it’s just metaphorically speaking.

So my thoughts are with Dallas tonight and I HOPE that we all learn from this.

Do you think Charlie Chaplin would have had any clue how poignant his words would still be today? I am crying.
