I admit, I completely stole this from The Tattooed Book Geek. I thought though, that it was too much of a challenge and looked like a lot of fun to pass over!
So here are my answers to “The Secret Life of a Book Blogger“.
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for about 3-4 years now. I started my Blog as a school project for a social media type class. Not only had I never of WordPress up to that but I hadn’t even heard the term “Blogging” at that point. I was happily to find that Blogging wasn’t just necessarily a “diary”. I thought what most people were blogging about were geniuses!
At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?
I’m not sure to be completely honest with you. I enjoy it so much, so I’d had to imagine that it’d be something pretty serious to make me stop blogging. Blogging is one of my outlets, so it’d be hard to imagine not to be blogging. Even those weeks where I’m sick or busy. I usually sit down for a couple of hours and try to write something.
What is the best thing about blogging?
The Blogging community. I kid you not, if it weren’t for the other people that would be another reason to not Blog anymore. I have “met” so many like-minded individuals. I just wrote a post recently, if there was some way to set up a “chat” or forum for people who Blog to chat. Some people I follow now I would consider to be a friend. I feel sane when I’m on here, even if we don’t totally agree. The discussions are respectable, rather than name calling like Twitter or Facebook.
What is the worst thing? what do you do to make it okay?
I actually really have to think about it. There’s isn’t too much that is the “worst”. There are things that are more annoying, rather than the “worst”. The Tattooed Book Geek wrote something about Blog tours, but I’m not even sure what that is?lol
How long does it take you to make/find pictures to use?
It honestly depends on why I’m using the picture, sometimes a picture can inspire a post. Sometimes as I’m writing, I find something that I think fits well. There isn’t a “time limit” really. I like to put something in, to make it a bit more interesting, but not every time.
Who is your book crush?
Will Herondale. His character is the one that first got me onto the World of Shadowhunters, and it’s been amazing to see how many authors I now enjoy because of this one novel. Will Herondale introduced me to the world of Young Adults and the whole magic and annoying love triangles…But mainly magic!
What author would you like to have on your blog?
There are quiet a few that would be exciting, but I don’t really think my Blog is that way inclined.
What do you wear when you write your blog posts?
I don’t have a particular outfit. Mainly because I am constantly writing and editing my blog posts, so sometimes I’ll be at home. Sometimes I’ll be at work. I would love to be able to say some fabulous outfit, but it’s more like…whatever, lol
How long does it take you to prepare?
Oh it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of days. I tend to start writing an idea for a blog. Then I’ll constantly edit it until it’s ready to go. It’s very unusual for me to start one and finish it the same day. I can though start a couple. On the weekends, I tend to start writing a couple of idea that I have. Then over the week I will edit them. The only thing that’s really constant is when I know that a blog is being posted soonish, I will work on them in order. For example, I started to write this one about a week ago and I was working on it today. Yet, there is one tomorrow that I have to finish off that I’ll work after this one. Then another that I’ll work on that’s being posted on Wednesday.
How do you feel about the blogging community?
I feel like I’ve answered this question a few times already but once more won’t hurt. They’re the best. You get a few who try and spoil it for the majority but they are harmless really. Their hearts are usually in the right place but their mouths (or fingers) aren’t, if you get what I mean. How did that sound so weird…? The blogging community are such a supportive and engaging presence that contains people from all walks of life. People who read all sorts of books and share their opinions in many different ways. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
What do you think one should do to create a successful blog?
I agree with the Tattooed Book Geek about this question. There is no one simple answer to this question. It also depends on what you determine to be successful.

If you wish to do this blog post yourself, I grouped the questions together. So then you have the choice to copy and paste my questions and answers, or you can copy and paste the questions in one go.
