I was met with an interesting question, after someone being indignant that “English” people (meaning white) weren’t allowed to kick other people off “their” land. They were also annoyed that the “English” people, under international Law are not protected under Indigenous Laws.

It really is a simple answer. The English of NOW aren’t indigenous to England. Just because your white, just because other white people took over the Britannia. England hasn’t even always been called England. England has always been multicultural, essentially, lol

England has had Vikings, Germanic Tribes, Scots, Celts and Romans. Which most of them are white, guaranteed, but they came from other lands and other cultures.

The England we know now, really didn’t start to happen until about the Middle Ages. Most “English” people now, although white, don’t come from the beginnings of England now, lol. Does that make sense?

Indigenous Australians, “Americans”, etc. Have mainly been there since the beginning. Does that make sense?

Indigenous Peoples are distinct social and cultural groups that share collective ancestral ties to the lands and natural resources where they live, occupy or from which they have been displaced. The land and natural resources on which they depend are inextricably linked to their identities, cultures, livelihoods, as well as their physical and spiritual well-being”

The English people of now, are not distinct enough. Sorry, racists, lol. The people of England have also not been displaced. England has been the one displacing others.

Obviously, within reason. If you’re not feeling it that day, don’t feel it, lol.

I was “inspired” to write this post after seeing the ridiculous assertions from some (we know who they are) that Putin is doing this because of “pronouns”, because the West is too “weak” because of LGBT.

The Ukraine isn’t really “Western” and it’s about NATO, despite NATO clarifying that the Ukraine wouldn’t be placed in the NATO list. Also, it’s Putin. There are rumors that Putin had/has COVID and it made his brain a little addle. We will never be able to tell with Trump … Oh, I had too, lol

I also saw a picture a cartoonist drew of POTUS Biden shouting at a solider while that solider put lipstick on. Now I don’t know about any of you, but putting on lipstick while you’re being yelled at, is pretty hardcore, lol … That is definite “I don’t give a f”, and is not a weak thing, on any level, lol. Also what’s wrong with wearing lipstick? Wearing lipstick doesn’t make you gay, I’m looking at you, right wing religious conservatives. Maybe THEY should try putting on lipstick while being yelled at.

Now, this is not permission to start in-fighting. The amount of people who have “rules” on their profile. I’m sorry to tell you all, the only rules on Twitter, Facebook etc are their rules. If you want rules for your profile, then you make your account private or make sure only certain tweets, posts get out. Twitter and Facebook do have it so you can make sure only certain people can see it. It’s one of the worst thing about “left” and “woke” twitter, lol.

So many of them have rules! With no irony at all, that no one is THAT obsessed with their profiles. I’ve been “called out” a couple of times, because I didn’t follow their “rules”. One, I just retweeted something, if you don’t want to be hassled, you can actually stop people from retweeting. Two, the whole reason they claim that you’re not allowed to retweet them is that they’ll get hassled by TERFs. My Twitter account is a small account, only one person liked the tweet. Where as their “calling out” was liked by over three hundred accounts and many people questioning my “allyship”. Some people were asking “Are they (me) an genuine ally” and I’m like “I’m right here, I don’t have rules, my profile is public and I have open DM’S. You can literally tag me, see my profile and DM me. You don’t need to act like I’m invisible”. I ended up blocking everyone who did that too me.

It’s thing like that, from my side I can’t stand.

I have seen many an ally, say something or do something that someone doesn’t 100% agree with, and then they turn into who they hate, and when you point out to them what they’re doing is exactly what they say they hate, you’re called a fascists’, or not an ally.

By the way you don’t “earn” to be an ally, you either are you are not. Allies do not get it right 100% of the time. We don’t get it right all the time, we just don’t and we are always learning. But I have seen trans people come down hard on allies and literally dictate that they are or are not an ally. I get everything is emotional right now. There’s no point in-fighting. If you don’t agree, tell that person, but don’t attack them. Who does that help? By the way despite that harshness from some trans people on if I’m and others are “allies” are not, we’re not stopping helping others.

The sad part of this story though, a couple of months after what happened too me. One of these people lost their job, they’re now relying on handouts from people and hoping to make money from their Art. I feel sorry for them, but I get why they lost their job. When you’re that emotionally caught up, you take it everywhere you go. There work already was making it difficult for them and their disability.

I get emotionally caught up a lot, but I’m not taking it everywhere I go. I take it where it matters. That’s the trick. I’m not going onto Twitter and expecting people to follow MY rules. The rules are Twitter’s rules, the rules are Facebook rules. That’s it, and if you want to make your account more specific, you can do that, easy peasy.

Rules/Representation/Research 2021

A lot of anti-science, trump supporters, show these lions, those lions are in a Zoo. They got that picture, because they were feeding them. There a lot of good Zoos out there. This picture though, is not the greatest representation of lion like behaviour. When you consider they’re not hunting for food, but like the sheep above, being herded towards their food.

Rule 1: Research all meme’s and gifs, before use

I also wish people would stop be know-it-alls next year. Why is it there’s always got to be that ONE person that to just disagree with EVERYTHING, when you all want the same thing? As two VERY good examples, one being people complaining that Churches were being cancelled, because you couldn’t go to buildings. Or when people KEPT saying that Christmas is cancelled, because, for some, it’s about seeing family. No, neither of them were or are. If you haven’t seen family in some way or anything, meaning actually physically or through technology, even conversations over the phone. Do you care about your family?

Rule 2: Think before you post on someone’s post. Rule if you think it’s apprioprate.

Even though I feel like I’ve come out of my shell a lot this year. I realised, especially at the beginning of the year, with my last therapist appointment. I have never really had someone. If that makes sense to you? So whenever I get depressed, down about something. I still go inwards. I can’t tell people what’s wrong. I still keep it inside.

Rule 3: Represent Yourself! It’s okay to tell people things. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” We’re all going to die anyway! Haha

Rule 4: Pick a word and STICK to it!

I’ve noticed that throughout the year, whenever I wrote lists, more things would get done. I don’t know what it is, but this going to be the year that I write lists! Lists of family members, lists of phone numbers and addresses…Lists about lists! You have to actually write a list, not electronically, but writing with your own hand. Not only does it make you do some actual had writing, which helps you make sure you still know how to write. I also believe those, writing something down with your own hands, grounds it. You’re much more likely to remember it, instead of relying on a computer to do it for you!

Rule 5: Represent all parts of your lives, by writing the important lists. Those cousins and their kids you don’t see that often, write their names down! Make it your new little “black book!”

The most important rule in 2021 should be though.

Rule Yourself…You are the only person who can!

Represent yourself and remember to show up with yourself!

Research yourself! We’re always changing, always learning new things. No harm into maybe researching yourself a little more too! We do tend to forget ourselves a lot!

QUESTIONS:

What’s something your brain tries to make you do, which you have to will yourself NOT to do?  (could be a bad habit, a physical response to something…your interpretation is as good as mine! )

Unfortunately, I can still take things a little personally. Without even meaning too, I am getting better at not taking things too personally, but sometimes. So sometimes, if my partner seems annoyed with me, I have to walk away from him and think about it more sensibly. “Is it really that big deal”, “Should I just tell my partner why I’m upset”.

When someone finds out what you do, or where you are from, what question do they always ask you?

Do I teach? Especially when they find out that I work in a school. If someone overseas finds out that I’m from Australia. I am not kidding, they will always ask if there are Kangaroos or Koala’s in the back yard -.- lol

What’s something terrifying that we’ve all come to accept as a fact of life?

Death, well, you kind of have to accept it. We haven’t got immortality…yet.

Should governments make laws to protect people from harming themselves?  Could that even work?  (yes this one is deep, maybe too deep).

I’m not really sure how you could govern it, that’s the only thing. It’s not something that people really share with others, and they are good at hiding it as well. Sometimes you have to be an expert at knowing how others act when they are harming themselves. I’m not actually sure it would work. I think we just have to stop the stigma around mental health. When people blame mass shooters on mental health, but then they’ll slash funds to mental health places. The solution seems simple, don’t blame mental health. Give education on it.

QUESTIONS:   

What would be your solution to the over-population of the earth?   Earth has finite resources and humanity seems to be breeding themselves to extinction.   Some countries have tried restricting the number of children a couple or a person can have, with little success.  So what other viable options are there for reducing the number of people? 

I honestly have no idea. We seem to be going backwards in that regard, meaning, forcing women to give birth more and more.

Okay, the rest will be ‘recycled’ questions.   I got a Sunshine Blogger Award recently and I thought some of the questions on that post were kinda nifty.   So “recycle”!  

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

This is going to be lame…I wish people could see love and hope. I feel that they are so important for people when the world is horrible.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

I think because I live in Australia, this one has some resonance with me. You are more likely to be killed by a falling coconut, than a shark.

What are the unwritten rules of where you work? If you don’t work (retired or unemployed) what are the unwritten rules you live your life by?

We’re not supposed to come on sites, like WordPress, especially if Managers are around. Mine are training newbies right now, but they’re off exploring at the moment…But when it gets quiet, everyone has a non-work site that they go onto. WordPress is usually mine.

How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?

Oh, I LOVE pineapple on Pizza…Yes, I am one of THOSE weirdos!lol…I have two usual favourites. One is Hawaiian and the other is chicken BBQ. Actually I’m not sure if the chicken BBQ one has pineapple, but I still really love it!

Toilet paper, over or under?

I always forget how I do it when I see this question, but I think it’s over? I put it so people have to take it from the top.

What’s the best type of cheese?

Jarlsberg Swiss cheese, with the holes in them. Freaking delicious!

I know some who do not enjoy this day and their reasons are their own and are completely justified. Just like some do not celebrate Father’s Day, we need to respect those who do not want to celebrate the day.

What I write now, I just warn you I’ll write for Father’s Day. I think the “rules” still apply, it just a change of the words.

Spice Girls – Mama – Can’t find official video?

Here are some “rules” for Mothers Day:

• If you see one, maybe two, cakes with “Happy Special Person’s Day” on it, surrounded by other cakes. Please do not post the photo of the one cake and try to make it a “thing”…It’s not a thing. It’s just one cake.
• If you don’t get on with your Mother, if you are distant. You are not under any “Law” saying that you have to do something or anything for your Mum.
• If you have women who have stepped into the “Mother” role, you do have to do something nice for them.
• Although generally there is Mothers Day stuff everywhere…You may still have to remind your brothers (like I did this year. I got all blamed last year because I didn’t remind him last year). This one still applies to Fathers Day too!
• While I get it may hurt some, days like these…It’s not okay though to tell others or to make others feel bad for celebrating it. I am sorry.

Here’s Our Questions for This Week’s SYW:

What Is Your Favorite Beverage?  (for those who really dislike “favorite” questions, hey, time to time, one just pops in and will not be denied).

I go through phases where I’ll like and be almost obsessed with drinking just the one type of beverage. At the moment it’s Lemon, Lime and Bitters. I think it’s because it’s definitely (too me) a fun Spring type drink.

What Is Your Interpretation of ‘The Golden Rule”?  Are there ramifications to breaking it?

I believe that the “Golden Rule” means ultimately what you think of “how you treat others” is.  Do you believe in Karma, do you believe to treats others how you’d want to be treated, or does it not matter to you? I recently wrote a blog post about Karma and how you shouldn’t expect Karma to go the way you want.

Sunrise person or sunset person?   

I am both…Although I have only seen the sunrise, maybe once or twice in my whole life. It’s funny because since I’ve had my anxiety attack I hate seeing the sun gone down now. I feel better when the sun is up.

Do people in modern society anthropomorphize animals too much? 

I think we do, but I also think that it can’t be helped. Some of the videos on YouTube, they seem SO like us. I think it’s what gets animals into trouble as well though. Naive ones amongst us forget that they are animals. Even the pet dog and cat, they are still animals. With a whole bunch of different instincts and feelings.

Social Media Etiquette

This has been such a huge topic, especially over the last year. I mean you just have to look at Donald Trumps Tweets on Twitter on what NOT to do.

Do you have any rules for social media? I would ask what do you think the rules are, but as a lot of people don’t follow them. This is a much easier list!

Some of my rules for myself are:

1. Never EVER use a derogatory term, such as ‘retard’ or the ‘c word’. I don’t even like Trumptard, Which is why you’ve probably noticed I write Trumptar, instead of the usual whole word.
2. I’d like to say that you shouldn’t swear, but sometimes…The mind explodes.
3. If I don’t understand something, I read before I answer. I read into something first before I’ll reply.
4. Only use capital letters (shouting) if you feel the person really isn’t listening and you want to help them listen to what they’re saying. I only using “shouting” when I can’t believe what someone is saying. What they’re saying makes no sense, or hypocritical.
5. I will never have a lot of symbols in my name, tagline. Maybe one animal emoticon, that’s as far as I’ll go.

11 Facts about yourself

 

1. When I am completely by myself, I can wear my pyjamas for hours…and hours!
2. I am such a Christmas person that I can easily buy new Christmas presents starting January. I love giving gifts!
3. I’m angry with myself at the moment, I’ve all these great ideas in my head, but I’m too scared to go through with any of them.
4. I love pineapple on pizza >.<
5. After my anxieties issues this year. I am now terrified of getting pregnant and giving birth. It’s a real/legitimate fear I have now. What if I have a panic attack and I kill the baby because no air or something? I’ve not been able to tell anyone about it.
6. I have got specific ring and message tones on my phone. So I know who trying to contact me. Mainly I have these for my work and my creepy friends,lol
7. I wanted to be a psychologist, and kind of still do, but I’d be so bad! I’d start crying with them, I wouldn’t be able to handle what happened to them. I’d be able to listen, but after they’ve gone. It’d be destroying me.
8. I’ve had to stop naming animals on safari live, for myself…A lot of them just die…Especially the “prey” eg Bryans Mum.
9. I am possibly the worlds worst procrastinator!lol…Just over this weekend I found all this stuff I’ve been looking for but because I was walking, I wasn’t able to carry it…Still haven’t been back…but I will be!
10. For a 34 year old woman, I have a lot of plush toys. But they are all important too me.
11. I am truly sick of having anxiety,lol

Tell us a dark secret about you (mwahaha)

I am sure that if someone hurt people I loved. I think I could find it within myself to kill them. The person who hurt the people that I love, not the people that I love,lol.

 

What would you want to invent?

I would want to invent something that would create less stress.Whatever the cause is, there is an instant solution.

 

What is your favourite feature of yourself?

No matter what I’m going through, I still want to be there for others. It’s not always about me, but sometimes it is! I’m learning how to take care of myself and make sure I don’t deplete myself. Learning is what I love to do!

 

What would you like to explore, the ocean or space?

Ironically both of those ideas make me feel claustrophobic. 

 

What’s your favourite time of day?

Close to late afternoon. Around the time where you’re finishing work and are heading home, the suns going down, but it’s not quiet down yet. So you can still do things. Get into your comfy clothes and a nice cup of tea, before you have to start making dinner. You’re still active and willing to do things.

 

Harry Potter or Twilight?

Harry Potter…I cannot stand Twilight. I was able to watch the first movie/book, but after that I got so mad with it! What kind of message does it send to young girls (the main audience) to have the main protagonist, heart broken, moping around for months, and then try to kill themselves? Let alone that…yes, I am going to swear…that s%#t ending! 

Harry Potter surpasses Twilight in every way possible!

What age do you want to die?

Just the same with “Messy World” there are things I’d like to do before I die and feel fulfilled. Preferably not for a while yet!lol

 

Favourite outfit?

I have a couple of dresses that I just love and I love the long cardigan that I can wear with them during Winter. My mum doesn’t like the cardigan because it makes me look “short”…I’m already short…The funny thing is I have had a lot of compliments on it when my Mum hasn’t been around,lol

 

Would you rather know when someone is lying to you
or be able to lie without anyone knowing?

I would rather be able to lie without anyone knowing. I think it would devastate me if I found out someone I loved was lying to me about a big thing.

Rule 1

I have seen some really gorgeous candles lately…I kid you not though, the candle itself is around $14…The postage…$70! I am NOT even kidding…$70! What is the packaging made out of…Gold? These candles were not even in glass, just a plastic container.

There is a market here I swear! Especially for Aussies! Most of the companies were in the US…I’ve always had a rule, unless special circumstance pertains…

Do not buy anything online where the postage is more than the item!
