I am so lucky today, the weather is horribly cold and wet outside and I have been suffering from my sciatica since yesterday (although the pain has lessened)…Luckily for me though I am not working today … YAY! So I am just sitting right now this Monday morning with a nice hot cup of coffee, with my puppy curled up to me…I do actually want to do a lot of cleaning today but I am worried about inflaming my sciatica again.
Did you know?: One of the recommended treatment for sciatica is bed rest, but not too long of bed rest! I find that when mine plays up, elevating my leg and having good posture is great.
I am actually writing this on Thursday evening because I know that I’m sleeping in. I have not had a good sleep in in months. I’ve been house sitting, dog sitting. Even the weeks I wasn’t working, I still had to act like I was going to work the next day. You see, we get called in a lot and don’t really have set shifts a lot, we usually lucky if we get one in the quiet time. So you go to bed at a good time and make sure you still get up decently.
Even if this article says it’s bad for you to sleep in…I’m still going to do it!
When was the last time you had a really good “sleep in”?! I would love to know, something fun for me to read when I eventually can drag myself out of bed.
