Funny thoughts

I thought I would share with you all the weirder thoughts that I have. See if you can relate:

  • Why would anyone get life insurance? (After watching numerous crime shows).
  • If you’ve lived MORE than half your life in #Australia, can only vote in Australia…Then NO, you are not British.
  • Why is it always the people who give no respect to others, demanding that others respect them?
  • There are lot of self victims about.
  • You can’t just not tell welfare/Centrelink that you didn’t work.
  • I just really don’t care what that signature is, lol. (Work related)
  • I am crying over kitty litter. What is up with that!

#LetsTalk

I am going to have to start off with not only a trigger warning, but reveal a little about myself…A faux pas about myself if you will.

I watch UK (United Kingdom) soap operas…I know…It’s tragic! Please do not hate me…

There’s one in particular, Coronation Street, that has been absolutely moving lately. One of the main loved male characters David was raped by another male. Another character Aidan killed himself and now they are dealing with the ramifications of that. It wasn’t actually clear that Aidan had killed himself. The last episode was of him crying at the end, but you don’t see any bottles of pills or anything like that.

Although the episodes have been upsetting since. It’s been great in the respect that they are bringing men’s issues to light. Men do get raped, men do struggle with mental anxiety and sometimes even more so than women! If you follow the hashtags #Let’sTalk and #ItOkayNotToBeOkay…You can find more about it. I am so happy that they did these story lines. I do believe that men tend to struggle with mental health issues worse than women, mainly because of whole “manly” thing.

Yes! Just Yes!

I don’t think that I even need to write a whole post about this one!

19 F@#king Infurating things about Women’s clothing! (Buzzfeed Article)

I have actually been trying to get another jumper/sweater that I can just wear around the house (I only really have the one) and I can say that I can completely relate to Number 8,9 and 17 at the moment!

Disney Magic

So I found this series of pictures/memes on Facebook’s page Disney Memes (there’s a couple of these pages). Beauty and the Beast is probably my favourite Disney movie, but Lion King is a very close second. When I first watched the movie I was not aware of the whole history behind it, other than I got what it felt like not to fit in, like Belle. I recently wrote a post about how two people can the exact same thing and yet get treated completely differently (Find it here: Peas in a Pod)

These pictures are definitely an extension of that. Just recently for example, I had my 30th a couple of years ago and lot of people didn’t show up…Their reason? “We don’t dress up” Yet, just a couple of weeks this other person threw a costume party and ALL the people that used the excuse to me they weren’t coming to mine, went to this one AND dressed up. Still to my face are calling me a “friend”.

This group was probably the main reason I wanted to give up, not necessarily kill myself or anything, but becoming a Hermit was definitely a reality for me. I definitely like a monster and true friend would never make you feel like that. Belle has always been my favourite Disney princess because I can totally relate to her reality. I get called beautiful a lot and yet, have never fit in.
