I will give Twitter credit for one thing, you get a lot of blog post ideas! Hahahaha … Not in always in a good way mind you!

I am kind of starting to wondering when as adults, we started to get upset about about fictional or made up characters?

I think I have about maybe 10-15 plushies scattered around the house. I used to feel that these made me childish. I felt I wasn’t mature enough because of my plushies. I also a few large figurines. They are mostly of kicking butt fictional women characters. I’ll post them under the post.

The reason behind my post today though is because though, for me, it is getting really annoying and so frustrating to constantly see people complain about fictional characters, and I mean in terms of the where the fictional character actually came from and started as. The two I’m writing about today ae Gomez Addams and April O’Neil.

The reason being that people seem upset that the current and April do not represent the original characters. Except they are completely wrong. April O’Neill was originally a mixed race woman, not the white woman from the cartoons and below is how the original Gomez Addams actually looked.

I get a lot of people would prefer the suave “Gomez”, but this is the original Gomez. For me Luis Guzmán, looks a lot him. I have yet to watch it, but I haven’t heard any complain about him.

It’s getting really tiresome to explain to so called “adults” that one, these are FICTIONAL CHARACTERS and if you don’t like how it’s done, you do it then. Two, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it, you’re not a child. It’s one of the great things about being an adult, you generally don’t have to do anything you don’t want too. There are lot of things you have to do as an adult to survive, work being one one of them. However, you don’t have to watch anything you don’t want too.

Thirdly and maybe the biggest point, a lot of people who do complain about this stuff are often, wrong.

As I was writing this another idiot was talking about how Transformers had never once addressed the issue of pronouns or sexuality. They were going on about how these newest creations were like invaders who destroying their property. Then they were quickly proven wrong. In both how idiotic they sounded and how Transformers has been inclusive in the past.

Liking a cartoon, anime, magna…Whatever, doesn’t make you an expert. Its fictional most importantly, and I admit I love when they can link fictional things together, like how they do it with Dr Who a lot of the time. At the end of the day, it’s just fiction. The most important part of fiction is that it takes you away. Not that it’s 100% accurate every single time.

Just why?lol

Now for this post, I am more thinking of more like “reality” stars. You know from like those shows “Married at Frist Sight”, “Gogglebox” “The Bachelor/Bachelorette”.

Shows like that.

I don’t know that many people who watch them, if at all. All of a sudden there are EVERYWHERE! They’re just giving us their opinions left, right and center. Like, come one, you were on Married at First Sight, I don’t have respect for you to listen to your opinion.

I started to think about this after I saw another reality star give their opinion about a current MAFs Australian episode. Now I don’t watch it, but there are lot of people about, who do. So a recent episode a guy finally stood up for himself, and his self-confessed “wife” admitted she likes to hit the sheets. But there was the thing, that’s how she “connects” and he doesn’t. So when he didn’t, she went ahead emasculated him.

What bothered me was that this other reality star’s opinion was that no one ever says that to a woman, when a man does it to her. Except that happens ALL the time in MAFs and the I see the public repeatedly call it out. It was just an utter waste of an opinion piece, and just a bad take at that. This reality star is always finding herself on every reality show. She’s one of those that is everywhere and her previous “colleagues” always pay her out for it.

Do we really need to hear these “reality stars” opinions, when they don’t actually travel in reality worlds?

It’s the same with “social influencers” I don’t know a single “social influencer” who would come even a little bit close to fitting in with my social circle. Who are they “socially influencing” apart from their rich business owners? How many times have we heard of a “social influencer” getting arrested in somewhere like Dubai (or somewhere like that), because they DON’T follow the social protocols. Religious or Social “norms”.

Andrew Tate is a “social influencer”, tells me all I need to know.

A SOCIAL media influencer has been arrested and fined after joining the search for missing mum Nicola Bulley. I know it’s the Sun, but come on! Why is an “influencer” harassing members of the public and then going “No Freedom of Speech”.

These “social influencers” are just a social pest!

Positive Vibes

Spending a couple of days off of the Twitter and I’m already feeling so much better. You come off and remember how the real world is doing ‘okay’.

Take Rowling as a quick example, she hasn’t won anything. She “helped” to sue Stonewall, they lost. She tried to get the Scottish GRR stopped, it passed. What a loser! The only thing she did “win” was saying that basically transphobia is a protected belief. But that’s it. One, it was confirmed that it is, in fact a belief. Two, the Judge did say that it’s not an excuse to harass people.

She is such a loser.

The only real problem with Rowling, is that far right wing extremists are using her as a tool, and also, unfortunately a lot of them are in charge and can make policies. If it wasn’t for that, she would be nothing but a big loser like Trump.

I am tad over hearing about how “bad” Rowling is being treated. She’s a loser, she sits in her castle, behind a computer, a fiction writer and that’s it. She’s not trans, neither is she a medical or health professional, she keeps losing. The majority SUPPORT trans people, so why should we care?

Start talking to trans people.

Thursday Theories – Rights, Freedoms and Opinions

This will be my first “Thursday Theories” for the year! Lets make it interesting!

What makes your opinion, worth more than someone else’s reality?

I was “inspired” to write this post as again, another TERF said and I quote “Deep sigh!! Another Gay man Mansplaining our rights away! And his also, ironically.”

So I said

“Deep sigh!! What rights.?”

It’s been two days and they tweeted other stuff. I did recently say to a transphobe, that if it wasn’t for Rowling, no one would be listening to them. I stand by that.

It’s with everything though really. Every single aspect of life. It is just like we just have to ‘accept’ peoples opinions, and no ones allowed to have Free Speech to disagree. It’s always THEY get to have Free Speech, the amount of times I’ve had to explain, After Andrew Tate protectors, after watching another week of people ignoring Prince Andrew, again. Watching transphobes getting upset by a single Firework display that also included the Queen, the Monarchy in general and Sir Thomas…that older UK guy who run a lot.

You can say what you want, and other people are free to use their Free Speech and disagree. That’s all I say now, I refuse to keep getting into “arguments” with idiots who keep insisting they’re allowed to have Free Speech, but no one else.

Magic?

Something recently happened to me to make me realise, I am VERY different from other people. Someone passed away over the weekend, and all weekend I had to see as people posted a character they played, quotes.

I was all like

I was getting so annoyed, lol

See this ‘person’ not only contributed in the ongoing harm of vulnerable people, they defended it by saying it wasn’t harmful and people are just easily offended. And again, they did not belong to the group of people who were being harmed, and they were harming.

My biggest crushes are Orlando Bloom, and Matt Smith. I find them both incredibly sexy. Sexy in looks and personality, and their acting.

HOWEVER,

If they did what this other actor did and contributed. I would go off them, and when they passed, I would not be posting about their characters. I wouldn’t post about them at all.

This is definitely a personal opinion.

I believe this is what infantilize adults. This is what I believe one of the problems with adults is. I love fiction and a dream world, probably more than anyone else on the planet. I HATE reality, but I love fiction, because it is not like reality. There is enough fiction to be happy.

I am going to use Johnny Depp as an example (also did you see Depp shaved off his beard, ewww,lol).

Thursday Theories – He’s real

This is the last time I will write about the the new Ariel “The Little Mermaid”. Mainly because I feel like you, my lovely readers, already “get it”.

The main reason I’m writing about it, is because I cannot get over the general stupid reasoning with “adults. Their “reasons” behind their whining. I will not give them the dignity of calling it an opinion, it’s just REALLY stupid.

For me, I can’t get over that these are “adults” whining, people my age, my mum and Gran’s age. It’s incredible!

Some of the stupidest things I’ve heard are listed below:

• If they had a white man play Martin Luther King Jr, there’d be outrage!
• She traditionally, was always played by a white person!
• If you had white people play characters in Colour (Color) of People and Roots. There’d be outrage.

OF COURSE THERE WOULD BE, YOU UTTER BUFFONS!

Martin Luther King Jr, was a REAL person. Who fought for POC. He’s the one who really got the Civil Rights Act, moving. Colour (Color) of People and Roots, while may be not based on real people. Are based on REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES.

They are NOT MYTHS! They are real, living breathing human beings and real experiences.

As for the “traditionally always played by a white person” comments. So? It’s still a mythical creature, whose never existed. If a POC had written it first, it would have never been published to begin with. Andersen wrote his Little Mermaid and it was published in English: 1845. It just wouldn’t have happened. Also one, again, is a character in a fairy tale, and the other well known Mermaid, is an animation. So…

Honestly, I can imagine Mermaids and Men, more in Caribbean waters than the cold depths of European waters. That’s just me though. Look, the Little Mermaid is not my favourite Disney movie. It’s not close to even the Top 5. Considering what time Andersen lived in though, and the fact that he travelled too Italy, Greece and Constantinople. I suspect, he may have been influenced by those countries. But in the 1800’s, who, in Europe, would have read a story about a POC mermaid? Have you seen the fuss they’re making about in 2022?

Whoever has been in Rome is well acquainted with the Piazza Barberina, in the great square, with the beautiful fountain, where the Tritons empty the spouting conchshell, from which the water springs upwards many feet. “Hans Christian Andersen” The Improvisatore (1835!) Ten years before the Little Mermaid????!!!!

Not understanding…

One of the things that I found interesting when QE2 passed. Is how little people understand how the Monarchy even works, and I’m not even British.

You know how everyone keeps having a go at Meghan and Harry for talking badly about the Royal Family? When they, in fact, never have. They’ve talked about how the FIRM have treated them. Just like the Queens twitter account did not wish Meghan a happy birthday and the others did. No, the Queen, couldn’t just say what she wanted too.

So, no, the Queen could not just condemn things, in her name.

The amount of documentaries I’ve watched about Henry the 8th, Elizabeth the 1st, Mary Queen of Scots. Their lives are NOT their own. They DON’T speak for themselves. They are surrounded by those who speak for them. Which is why YOU have to be so careful about what you read/listen about them.

It’s why I only listen to when they do actually use their own words. I watch their body language, I listen to them speaking.

I don’t know her

I was asked a really odd question the other day “Don’t I think that Meghan Markle is narcissistic ?” I think I gave her a ‘look’, because she quickly said “Well I do”.

I have noticed that this attitude seems to be people of a certain generation. The same generation that gave the Royal Family a hard time over Princess Diana. I remember the hatred from older generations with how Diana was treated. Now they all want to hate on Meghan and Harry? Pick a side, lol

I have lost a lot of respect over people over the whole Harry and Meghan situation. Unless you are part of the royal family, you do NOT know how it works. We just recently had a used to be a reputable tv show. Do THREE shows in one week just on Meghan Markle, and they actually had the audacity to ask “Is she the bully, or is she being bullied?” Excuse me? You have a LITERAL PEDOPHILE in the Royal family, and you’re doing THREE shows in ONE week on Meghan Markle and you REALLY have to ask that?

You don’t know them to be making comments like that, about people YOU DONT KNOW. You also are IGNORING the literal pedophile in the Royal Family. I want to know about HIM, I want to know about why everyone is so silent about that, and why you’re asking me inane questions about people WE DON’T KNOW. I don’t care about Harry and Meghan, I want to know more about WHY PRINCE PEDOPHILE ANDREW is just being let off, scott-free, by these same stupid people. Who are asking me these really stupid questions.

Like Prince Harry said, you remember him? Princess Diana’s actual child, not you. He can see the same thing happening that happened with his MOTHER, happening with HIS WIFE. If these people stopped reading trash tabloids for two seconds and get with reality, they’d see it too.

And you know something? I think Harry is actually the Queens favourite.

Okay, one more time. People are NOT getting this. Johnny Depp has been found guilty TWICE, in a court of Law, of wife beating. He IS an abuser.

Again, this does not mean, Amber Heard is NOT an abuser. This is isn’t, one cancels the other out. They’re BOTH abusers and they BOTH have been abused.

If you can NOT understand that concept, do NOT talk about it.

This is NOT a case, that will say whether or not Depp is not an abuser. He has already been found GUILTY of being an abuser, TWICE. We all KNOW that Heard abused as well. If you can’t understand the basics of mutual abuse. This is NOT a television show, where you get to determine anything. Everything has already been determined.

Also, Johnny Depp is not going to sleep with you.

This is not a television episode of Law and Order, this is real life folks. For the love of God, please think about this from a point of view that doesn’t involve you having sex with Johnny Depp. Think about how Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his children was thinking when his text came out as calling her an “extortionist French cunt”, or heck, think about his kids!. He must have known that was coming out. Think about how you would feel if someone you loved, had texted about setting you alight, and burning you alive. Jesus, think about that poor dog, as he shoved it’s head out the window!

This isn’t “hearsay” this is WHY he WAS found guilty, twice, of being a wife beater.

I actually do fear for JD’s life. I think he’s going to go the way of Michael Jackson, Prince, Brittany Murphy. Dying, way before they should have, dying because no one would tell them no.

As it was said in court. Depp was the one turning (or not in some cases) up to work drunk, high, not prepared and not professional, choosing to sue people over fulfilling his contracts. That has nothing to do with Heard, she’s not his keeper. Quiet frankly, she was right in what she said. That she stood up for abuse survivors and she was abused again, by the culture. She was absolutely right. Quiet frankly, there’s a lot of people proving her right.

It’s one of the reasons I don’t want to talk/write about this anymore. No matter the outcome, he’s already established as a wife beater. Depp and Heard are pretty toxic, but I do think that Heard, while not coming out of this smelling of roses. She does appear to be only one who is trying to live a life. Reminder, as well, Depp is the one continuing this. He is STILL trying to control the narrative, and lot of people are letting him.

I don’t know if you heard the whole who-haa about Rowling not being on the Queen’s Jubilee Lists. But she’s not on it, lol. Neither are a lot of authors that I would have excepted. What it made me do though was to go and look up a few things about authors and books. It’s quiet interesting.

You’d think that Rowling is the only female author to have ever existed.. Not true (though you all know this).

Did you know that Rowling is NOT the top selling female author of all time, and is not even the top children’s authors? Too be fair she is number 2, 3 and 4 for best selling children’s books. She is not top though for either category. For best selling female author of all time, she’s either number 3 or 4.

So, to get off that topic. Who do you think is the actual top selling female author of all time? She is a classic of all time author, still shocked she doesn’t have a novel on the Jubilee List. However, the list seems alright. This author has only been outsold by the Bible (lol) and Shakespeare.

I wasn’t that into the HP books, and now I refuse to buy anything, even second hand HP. Throughout this whole debacle though. It’s been interesting to see how many people have let her get away with a LOT of horrible things for such a long time. Every day I learn something new about the HP world, and it leaves me going … WTF, haha

Yesterday, as an example, I found out that in the books. Umbridge, is kidnapped by Centaurs and it’s implied she was sexually assaulted. At some point this memory is triggered, by Ron, and he laughs at her. Can you imagine my utter shock when I found this out? lol

So when I see people say that someone like her just suddenly fell to the wrong side. I always ask now when was she actually on the left? What had she actually done to prove that she was “left”. For years now, every time these problems, the lazy racism, the anti-Semitism, she ALWAYS brushed it under the carpet. I don’t think she’s EVER been left leaning, it’s just that, the transphobia, took.
