You’ve probably seen the “metoo” hashtags all over the social media and although it’s heartbreaking to see just SO many. I am glad that we are now seriously talking about it…FINALLY!
However with the Hashtag it has also meant that other people are talking about their own situations, even if they are years and years old. Which has lead a lot too “I don’t believe you” and “why didn’t they said something before”…You know attacking these women, they attack first and then they say “Why didn’t you say something earlier” -.-
What has angered me the most is that women are attacking other women. You take a look at Michele Mahone…Years ago she felt harassed by Patrick Swayze and when she went to her bosses to talk them about it…She was sacked…Now she’s reliving it because of everything that’s coming out. Now the main people who are attacking her are women…again…Then Jacinda Adern became Prime Minister of New Zealand and most of the women who were attacking her, were attacking her looks, not her policies. I wonder if they even know what her policies are? Then there’s the whole Melania Trump and Michelle Obama thing.
What are these women’s mental malfunction? When you point it out too them, that one of the first things our parents teach us is about not to judge someone by their looks.
I decided that I was going to try and focus on good things this week, so I thought that I’d start the week with focusing on 7 random things that I enjoy or make me happy. If you feel like sharing random things with us or what to do this yourself, please feel free to do as well, or if you share my happiness for the randomness, please share!
Since I am hungry as I write this, it’d be a good idea to share with you a food that I love to combine. During Winter I love to combine mac and cheese with instant noodles (those noodles that take about 5 minutes to cook). It’s soooo good, probably extremely unhealthy though.
So something I have learnt with social media, apart from not reading the comments. Check the “likes” instead…You will usually find that the positive out-ways the negative. So now I check those first =D There’s a lot of “love” emoticon out there!
I LOVE fan made YouTube videos, especially when they make videos of couples that I really like together, or had never thought about before!
I really enjoy having Fridays off, it’s an odd thing. I can work on a Saturday or Sunday and not “enjoy it” per-say but I’d rather have the Friday off. I just seem to get so much done, Whereas on the weekend I tend to have a habit, if I don’t have anything to do, I sit all day pretty much.
I don’t actually like Family Guy. Other than Brian and Stewie, I could watch a show with just them in it.
When I was younger I had three pet rats, Grezelda, Annie and Lucy. Annie and Lucy were sisters and we originally only got Lucy, but then she “disappeared” after a week. After about another week we went back, got her sister Annie, and I kid you not only about an hour after we got home, we found Lucy -.- With her rat food all stored in a pile, she must have been going back and forth during the night and getting in and out of the cage.
I am a procrastinator, but something that I am even worse at is this. If there’s something I actually want to do, but other people keep bugging me to do it, I instantly go off of it. By bugging I mean, just ALWAYS.
This is a very short post for this morning. I’ve been thinking about creating an Instagram that is just specifically for this Blog. I was thinking of sharing book updates of books I’ve been reading, with then doing the final review on my Blog. Sharing cute pictures that I’ve found, that sort of thing. Do I make it private or public?
Does anyone else do this? Any handy hints or is this all just a bad idea?
Also at the moment though as well, I can’t even seem to log into Instagram.
I don’t think I’ve heard that phrase more than ever since Trump took office. I now that I say that I will try and not talk politics on here, but it’s that phrase that just annoys me SO much. I think it’s mainly because of all the people that gave Obama a hard time and wouldn’t “get over it”…The front runner on that one…Was Trump himself…I don’t get how they don’t see the irony. Trumps victory wasn’t even an landslide.
Also though I don’t think people should just “get over it”. We should never get over whoever is in charge of our countries, of the nations money, of the armies that protect our countries. We should always be questioning. We shouldn’t become complacent. I think I may have even have mentioned this before as a random thought. I think that’s has lead to a lot of things happening right now, we just assuming that it’s all going to get better and we’ll get through it.
It didn’t take one march for the Civil Right Act, it didn’t take one movie or one show, or one march to get marriage equality…Keep Going!
Nothing like a good day of International Happiness, so I am making a list of EVERYTHING that I can think of that makes me happy. I have actually been working on this particular post for a couple of weeks, so that I can cover as much happiness as I can. There is no rhyme or reason to this list, it just is. You might even find a couple that you agree with.
What about you? What are a couple of things that just instantly make you happy?
When either my puppy or my partners cat tongue gets stuck outside their mouth, it’s just so cute.
When I’m craving something and I don’t know what I’m craving and somehow, very randomly, I eat something and it’s that something that I was craving.
The smell of my black candles, I don’t know what it is, but there smell is intoxicating, so I use them very little, as the shops ran out of that particular candle.
Cuddling up with any of my plushies.
Choosing “random shuffle” on my ipod and getting all the songs in a row that match my mood.
The funny air hugs I have with a particular coworker, since she found out with some people I get funny with hugging them. It’s turned into our little joke, we air hug, air chest bump.
Those nights/days that you get to yourself, you have nothing to do but veg out.
When I make it through an entire drive without panicking too much.
I love it when I can watch Twitch, Safari Live and play games at the same time. Usually only happens on a Saturday.
Christmas Day spent with my Mums side of the family.
The Christmas Eve Barbecue we’ve started having with people we’re close to but don’t get to see on Christmas.
Real Husbands of Hollywood, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Homicide Hunter. I never ever watch these shows just in the background.
All my favourite musicals.
Just sitting and doing nothing and NOT feeling guilty about it.
Being in a car and just having a normal conversation without feeling any of my odd anxiety issues.
When you buy clothes online and it all fits perfectly…Especially pants and shoes!
When I have more money in my bank account than I had expected.
Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
No, I never would. I get to…well…paranoid that if I do that the elevator/lift would get stuck and then I’d get trapped in there and I do not want that to happen. I guess then I don’t think it makes it go faster, I believe it goes slower.
Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?)
At the moment I really do suffer at the spontaneous, I need to have things planned. However, when I feel strong and my anxiety issues aren’t affecting I love to go out and do something, so that’s kind of spontaneous I guess? Even so, I did like to plan things even before my issues happened, I was always a planner, with random moments of spontaneous….very rare moments though.
Describe yourself in at least four uplifting words.
If you had a choice which would be your preference salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?
Oh my goodness, so many choices and they all have their own pro’s and con’s. I love looking out over an ocean and I do like hot tubs, but I can only stay in them for about 5 minutes before I start feeling sleepy. No desert though and only a ski resort if I don’t actually have to ski, lol. I cannot choose!
I have really been struggling this past week to think of anything to write, I think that I am suffering from the Holiday Tiredness. By this I mean, my brain is finally getting over the Holiday festiveness at the end of the year. That my brain has just turned itself off and it just wont work…But then, that in itself, is kind of something to write about as well.
I’m not even sure if my brain is tired because I’m thinking to much as well, of the things I want to do, but have no idea where to start. Or that I’m thinking of all the ways that I could start, that it’s making my brain tired that way as well.
Ahh, the mind…What a wonderful thing it is!
Do you feel the Holiday Tiredness as well? Especially after the festivities have ended and you are trying to get back to a “routine”. Does your brain, just turn itself off? Do you have plans in place to get yourself back “in the game”? Or do you just keep going along and wait for the ‘buzz’ to come back again?
In case you hadn’t been able to guess, I am a bit obsessed with “The Lion King”. Which is a little funny because I have real trouble even watching the film, it make me cry every single time Mufasa dies…I just cannot even!lol
