What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.
I know automatically which question I HATE, and being Women’s History Month.
“What is a woman”
TERs just LOVE this question. They don’t actually mean what do you actually think a woman is. They only accept the one answer they approve of “Adult Human Female” So a big HINT, if someone is wearing this on their top, 99% of the time, they are a TER. It’s a dictionary meaning. If you heard about people getting angry about Dictionaries changing words, woman/women was one of them, to include trans women.
It is all they’ll accept. Which, being a dictionary meaning, is clearly them being ridiculous. They do it so much that now someone created a bot on Twitter literally called “What is a woman” bot. It breaks down for any transphobic person why having the one meaning is utterly ridiculous. So now a lot of us just use that.
Too me a woman is more than a dictionary meaning. I would hope you agree too.
Republican’s and their instance on turning America into the next Russia, China or North Korea, or projecting what they say Muslim people are.
People who refuse to understand that Harry and Meghan, want privacy. But they’re allowed to control the narrative too to THEIR lives. If your name was dragged through the tabloids, you telling me that you wouldn’t take the opportunity to speak out? Bullshit! lol
I don’t understand why people talk about Meghan Markle like they know, because of the tabloids. Then when I ask them “Why do you think she’s narcissistic” quote things from the tabloids. Then still complain about her speaking about herself. How are you all not getting this?
How can you say you’re British “so you know things” when you haven’t lived in the UK since the 70’s?
Saying it’s “okay” if we sacrifice the elderly and to save the economy, not wondering how you might feel about hearing that, when you’re elderly and have worked your entire life in some form or another.
How the Green Party, the UK Labour Party and the LibDem say they’re nothing like the Tories, when they just sit back and let alone transphobia run rampant in the parties. Where there’s one bigotry, there will be another.
How Nicola Sturgeon has done NOTHING about Joanna Cherry.

What HAS gone wrong with our politicians exactly? Like, they’ve always been a bit horrible, but they just seem to be REALLY horrible now.
Now this is something I WANT to understand. I watch a lot of crime shows. Why is it when someone (mostly women) are in really abusive situations, like I’m not even talking about the just “there were signs in hindsight”. I’m talking about as well the full on everyone wants to get out abuse too. Why is it these people are always killed in the end, but before that, their abusive partners cheats on them. And they cant deal with that? Like their partner has nearly killed them several times at this point, and that’s “fine”. But if the abusive partner cheats, oh no, that’s disrespectful to the abused.
That is something I do not understand, but I wish I could. Because then maybe we could use that to help them leave?

What I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.
What was your favorite toy growing up?
I had a few, I’ve held onto a few as well, making sure that I keep them in relatively good condition. One though, that really stands her, and I still have her. I think she’s called either Brittany or Britney, she’s a “life size” doll and she came with me everywhere! Unfortunately, every time I put in Brittany or Britney life size doll, it’s only ever Britney Spears doll. My brother, when he started to learned how to sow, turned her Goth! Haha! If you look at life size Barbie’s from the early 90’s, that’s pretty much how she looked, but she wasn’t a Barbie. I called her my sister, and we went everywhere together.

Honestly? Just take the time to actually shut up and LISTEN…
Depends on the surprise to be honest. My partner remembering a figurine that I wanted on my birthday, when I had forgotten. I wanted it around Christmas, but it definitely wasn’t going to come out then. My partners mother showing up unannounced every time she’s in town, not such a nice surprise. She’s lovely, don’t get me wrong. But the amount of times we’ve been going out somewhere and we’ve had to cancel. She doesn’t send a text, she just rocks up. She lives three hours away, so it’s not like she’s popping in all the time. Last time I knew she was going to be around, I nearly bought extra food for her, but she never ended up staying, lol. The problem is we don’t know when she’s coming down either, she doesn’t actually tell anyone either way.
What’s your favorite zoo animal?
It’ll always be the Lion/Lionesess. Like others though, I have hate/love relationships with Zoos. Some zoos out there are absolutely shocking, and the animals would actually have a better chance being free than in those places. Some Zoo’s though do actually really good work with conservation. During the up coming Christmas/Summer holidays, were planning on going to Monarto Zoo. Where you … the human … go into the cage while the Lions walk over you, well not literally on you of course. They even have a baby rhino you can “meet”, but I think that ends before we plan on going.
What three things do you think of the most each day?
At the moment, when will this pain sciatica end. Will it ever go away.

‘Deep’ Question
When, if ever, is taking a human life justified?
As others have said, I have no problem with euthanasia for people. After watching my Grandfather die of MRSA getting into his lungs. I don’t know how one couldn’t. We do it for our pets, because they’re in pain. Why we don’t for humans, who are terminal in pain and tired of fighting. Why we don’t, I don’t know. Saying that, I couldn’t actually do it myself.
Is it bad as well, that when I hear prolific child molesters getting killed in jail. I don’t feel bad. I also have no idea how I’d be if I saw someone trying to kill a child, or my someone I care about. I think, in the moment, I could.

Technically it is now my birthday in Adelaide, Australia. I think everywhere else it’s nearly my birthday. As I think that the majority of my readers are from the UK and the US. Your most memorable fancy dress costume?
I’d have to say that it was for my own 30th birthday party. I LOVE to dress up, I always wanted to be an actor. With my 30th birthday party, I decided to give a twist on the Moulin Rouge, and called it “Fantasy Rogue”. Too, dress-up as your favourite character from anywhere, but put a Moulin Rouge theme on it. This was my costume.

Oh it definitely differs, if you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Insta. You’ll see me make posts saying I have to stay off for a few days. I do, but since I do it with all my platforms, I don’t think think there’s a single one that I’m on the most.
Favourite season
Without a doubt, it’d have to be Spring, without a doubt. It’s always after Winter, so it’s the first time you see sun again and sunlight again. It starts to feel warm, Spring is about new life. It’s warm, but it’s not overly hot. Everybody wants to go out. Here in Australia, our Spring is JUST before Christmas.
If you had to choose the beach or mountains, which would it be?
I have always loved both of these. Mountains give me the inspiration to write and Beaches give me the inspiration to relax, so it’s very hard for me to choose.

Life goal
I would love to run a SUCCESSFUL online business, so I can get out, help provide for my family. During this time in the time of the virus, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I can do. Problem is, you need money and a really good idea that will catch onto the public to have this happened. I was thinking of doing drawing, since I have a big imagination and I am constantly spending money for other people to draw my ideas. Why not start doing it myself?
I also need to believe in myself more,lol.
How many cities have you lived in?
2…I have lived in Adelaide, South Australia my whole life. The other place was Arizona in America, that was mainly though because I had a long…VERY long distance relationship. You know those people who travel to America on a visiting visa, and then never come back? That could have been me, but I’m a good girl.
What language do you wish you could speak?
I do wish that I could speak Spanish. It’s always a language I have loved listening too. I make fun of the French accent. I love the Irish accent, but that’s not really a different language. I do wish I could speak Gaelic too though.
What can’t you stand?
I’ve realised over the years, that I can’t stand people who harm animals and children, especially if it’s malicious and cruel.
If you have an hour to kill on your hands, what would you do?
I am probably reading, or possibly playing a game. I might go through some of my blogs, make sure they are up to date. I might even bake something like cookies, or a cake.
Your favourite routine?
My favourite routine, is surprisingly enough, to clean. I really enjoy spending having a day to just clean. I find that sometimes, I have to do different things on different days. But I just love having a day where I can just…not sit,lol…But get up and just clean the whole house, wash all the clothes, make sure the dishes are washed. All on the same day.
When do you become hyperactive?
I think after I’ve had a any kind of raspberry soft drink. Yes, I am now 36 and I still love to drink raspberry soft drink.

Oh, text message. The only time I will ring is if I need some things clarify and/or texting will take far too long.
Your most precious treasure.
I treasure people more than things, but in all honesty my most precious treasure are these two: My Mufasa and Sarabi. Mufasa I’ve had since I was about 12-13, Sarabi about a week now,lol. I’ve been looking for a Sarabi since I had gotten Mufasa, but had no idea until recently that Disney actually sold this plush one. Which she is the perfect size to my Mufasa! They are perfect sizes for cuddling and you can rest your head on their backs and read.
Your latest foreign language mistake.
I’m not sure if I have made any lately? I constantly though have to reread people’s comments though, where it’s obvious English is their second language. So I like try to read their comment a couple of times before I reply.
What’s the best therapy for you?
Reading, gaming, just heading for a walk, or even just walking around the shops. Not actually buying anything, just wandering. That also depends though what the weather is like, I hate going for a walk in Winter.
If you could be a fictional character, who would you be?
Whenever I really enjoy a book, tv show or movies. I always imagine a character that I could be, that I feel could fit into the fiction. So for example, Lord of the Rings. I have imagined several times being a Sorceress that travels with the fellowship. Even though Pippen is my favourite character in the movie, I fancy the pants off of Legolas/Orlando Bloom. So I always imagined that my character was a love interest, but elves and sorceresses don’t like each other. My character’s mothers wasn’t just a sorceress, but she was also the Dark Queen who served with Sauron. My character also can’t use her magic, otherwise she may turn dark, so she’s skilled in swords and bows. She was also taught by Beorn, how to work and talk with animals, and she was given to Beorn from the Ents. Who couldn’t keep up with her upbringing. Her mother feared her child would be persecuted by elves, by men and by Sauron himself, so she hid her child with the Ents.
I wont go into more details, because it’s starts to get interesting with her in the Hobbit. But it’d bore you all,lol.
The movie came out in 2001, I’ve had a LOT of time to think about it.
Where would you like to travel?
I would love to see Greece, Rome and Ireland. Ireland, my ancestries is there. Greece, Rome and Egypt, I would love to see all the ancient buildings and works in the flesh. I could never go inside a Pyramid though! Now, with my anxieties I am scared of travelling there, but I would get any medication to knock myself out with.
Where did you meet your spouse/partner?
We met through a online dating site. I had been dared by my mum to do it, after my last breakup. Normally I spend about 6 months to a year being single after a breakup. Even when I was fine with the breakup. I was dared about a month after my last breakup, we met up a month after that, and have been together ever since.
This is such a hard question bring down to one. There are so many different ways an animal is majestic. I think that the Giraffe, is long, elegant and lean. When you see a huge elephant tusker walk, that is majestic. A lion’s mane can be majestic when they are well taken care of. HOW DO YOU CHOOSE!lol…The coat of a melanistic colour variant of any Panthera, particularly of the leopard. I’m going to go with a black panther…
What seemingly innocent question makes you think “It’s a trap!”?
“What do you think”…lol…Because as soon as you don’t say what they want you to say, that’s it. Especially at the moment! Then when you don’t say that they want to hear, they try to have a go at you, and that it was just their opinion, don’t attack them…blah blah blah,lol
What weird potato chip flavor that doesn’t exist would you like to try? (NOTE: Potato chips are called ‘crisps’ over the pond in the UK and Europe, I think. Thanks to Sandmanjazz for reminding me we all don’t speak the same English! 😆 )
Hmm…I can’t think of any, I like all the flavours I’ve tried. I wonder if they could put together lightly salted chips and chocolate, as a flavour though. Not a chip covered in chocolate, but just the flavour. I just love chocolate and lightly salted chips/crisps/fries.

What did you Google last?
Chamomile Tablets. I just had this sudden thought that maybe they would help me better. Whenever I have chamomile tea, I feel instantly better. My anxiety lessens and I stress less. So why not the same with tablets? Wish me luck!

Do you think there is such a thing as a ‘gendered’ brain?
I believe that we all have a bit of a gendered brain. Some just happen to have more than gender than another gender. What does it even mean to have a gendered brain? Do boys have a more “masculine” gendered brain?
Ones I have now are probably too personal to write about on WordPress at this moment in time. When I was little though, I used to fear red apples, because of a certain little movie.
Out of your family members, who are you closest to?
Maybe lame, but I am probably closest to my Mum now, these days. It used to be my Grandmother, but unfortunately she’s starting to become a bit angry. She’s kind of always been a little grumpy, but she’s started making catastrophes out of nothing. We think something happened to her, but she wont tell us what. Mum and I have gotten closer and a lot more honest with each other in the last couple of years.
I will never waste my time or my life again worrying about toxic people and toxic friendships (relationships are just a given, but I don’t see us breaking up anytime soon with my current partner. I love him and it’s the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had).

I made myself take a mental health day. I haven’t felt I’ve needed one for such a long time and it’s okay to have one day every now and then.
I decided to do a get to know me thing on my birthday. I’ve gotten a few questions from all around the place. I just didn’t like some of the questions, some had a lot and I wasn’t going to do all of them…One had OVER 300! I thought to myself, I hadn’t done one of these for a while now, so I thought that what better day to do one than my Birthday. I’m going to go with 29, because that’s the date of my birthday.
Are you like your zodiac sign suggests that you should be? I actually just wrote a post about this on Friday, see it here.
Have you ever been betrayed by someone you care about? Oh of course, who hasn’t been? The trick is to truly, not necessarily forgive them, but just to forget about them.
Have you ever had a crush on a teacher? … Yes … We had these two gorgeous teacher aides came for one semester. I was very “famous” for having a tonne of crushes at the same time, but never brave enough to say anything. Not that I would have with a teacher, when I was a high school student.
If you could choose one Disney prince to marry who would you choose? It would have to be Aladdin. I used to really like Prince Eric from “The Little Mermaid”, but then Aladdin came along.
If you could choose one Disney princess to be your best friend who would you chose? Without a doubt, it’d be Belle…If I can’t be her, then she can be my best friend.
What is something you like to do when you are sad? I watch comedies or those fail type video shows. I know other people’s pain shouldn’t be funny, but sometimes it just is,lol. I pretty much will watch anything that makes me laugh.
If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be? I don’t know if this is a job, but when you get the “golden ticket” it’s a very lucky job. I would love to be a writer, a professional fictional writer.
What current world events are really troubling to you? I really wish I hadn’t written this question, mainly because the list would be a lot shorter about what isn’t bothering me right now.
Which animals scare you most? Why? Octopuses…They are way to intelligent and can fit into the tiniest of spaces!
What do you consider unforgivable? If someone were to hurt my family or fur-babies or a very good friend. Especially if you were to hurt them with malice and intent.
What is the strangest thing you believed as a child? This is so embarrassing to admit, I would not eat red apples because I believed a particular movie.
What flavor of tea do you enjoy? I enjoy three and I usually have them stocked up. One is just your usual earl grey type tea. The other is chamomile, I really do believe that it keeps me calm. The third one is one I just discovered a couple of months ago. It’s called chamomile and spiced apple. It reminds me a lot of the spicy of Christmas. It really makes me happy.
Do you remember your dreams? I usually actually, even if it’s only a lot of the dream, or one bit. A few years ago, I actually used to write them down. I should start doing that again.
Who has left the most impact on your life? I’d have to say it’d have to be my Great Grand-Father (my Grans Dad). He passed when I was about two years old. We were very close, but it’s amazing how…what 33 years later…I’ll find things that I’m interested in, that he was studying. When I was in Year 12 at high school I became very interested in Ancient Greece, Rome etc. Then a few years after high school, I found a notebook written by my Great Grand-Father and he was learning Greek just before he died. He wanted to travel there.
What is good about how you are living your life right now? Honestly, the only thing that could be any better is getting more hours at work. I get on well with my whole family, my partner is the best partner I’ve ever had. I may have lost some friends over the last couple of years, but I feel like the friends I do have are more healthy and I have a lot more in common with them.
Are you named after anyone and what does your name mean? I am named after the iconic Lauren Bacall. Lauren may be a given name or surname. The name’s meaning may be “laurel tree,” “sweet of honour,” or “wisdom”.
Nicknames? I have a few. I’m actually one of those people who are known more by their nicknames than their actual name. Lolly, Lolsy, Lol, Lols (people used to call me Lol or Lols before it was even a ‘thing’) My favourite probably though is Little Poppenjay. My Grandpa used to say when he’d see me “hey, hey Poppenjay, how you’ve had a lovely day” =D I miss that.
What’s your favourite candle scent? I have these black candles, that are from a Australian store called “The Reject Shop”, and I have bought a LOT of them, but have yet to burn any of them. They just smell SO good. The scent is called “Moonlight Mist” and the company is Madison French.
What’s one thing you own that you should probably get rid of, but just can’t? I have this really old t-shirt. It’s a Hanson t-shirt…Yes, mmmbop Hanson. It’s really loose, it’s got holes and I have no idea how they got them. I really should throw it out, I don’t even wear it anymore! I don’t even really like the people who got it for me and I’ve thrown out other shirts for less!
Which song do you sing when you are by yourself? It’s always changing by the moment. Lately though it’s just the one sentence, Taylor Swifts “Look what you made do”.
What is the least favourite thing about yourself? Overthinking. I am a terrible over thinker. I’m trying to do stuff at the moment to stop this, but it’s a life long thing. So it’ll be a slow process.
How is your relationship with parents? I think that like with a lot of people, adored them when I was little. Disliked them muchly during teenage years and now it feels like I can friends with them. Maybe not much all the time with my Dad, if he just stopped the drinking it’d be great!
If money were no object what would you get for your next birthday? I would get a comfortable house and make sure it was fully paid off. Is that too lame though?lol
Do you consider yourself a good cook? Well I can cook to survive, most of the time. Every now and then I’ll get a “kick” and want to cook something a little bit more special.
Did you have any favourite childhood films? I had two that I watched obsessively, I bought them on DVD as an adult. I don’t think they’re every going to be on Netflix or somewhere like that. It’s interesting because they probably weren’t really “kid friendly” films. One was “The Red Shoes” starring Moira Shearer and the other was “Beatrix Potter Ballet” film. The reason I don’t think Beatrix Potter is 100% kid friendly, there’s the whole scene with the Owl catching the squirrel and taking his tail off (you don’t see that part, but you know what’s happened).
Which day is International Dance Day? Why, I do believe that is today!
What’s your favourite thing about yourself? As much as I hate my brain, I also love it. As much as the reason it creates my anxiety, it’s also the reason it fights it off. It’s the reason why I’m not a raging psychopath too,lol
What would you tell your younger self? Travel to America, but don’t think he is going to be the end all of everything. Make sure that you continue making a life for yourself at home.
What are you hoping for in the year to come? I’m hoping for a more permanent job, maybe some bells ringing…of the wedding variety,lol…I feel generally very lucky in my life, it’s just the lack of permanency of the job that bugs me. Hoping to start up crafts and something on the side again. I think I need to be doing something, rather than thinking about money and job woes.

Why is it called “beauty sleep” when one wakes up looking like a troll??
If anyone is like me, the reason it’s called a “Beauty Sleep” is because of Sleeping Beauty. Sometimes when you sleep, it can feel like you’ve slept for an age. That’s just my theory anyway.
Why do they sterilize needles for lethal injections?
I guess it’s just a standard? Here in Australia, even though we don’t have lethal injections anymore. I would guess that they would still need to be sterilised, as some sort of standard practice. If who ever encounters the needle gets stabbed themselves, for whatever reason. Then they wont be infected either. There’s a lot of clumsy people out there. I managed to get a paper bag cut while food shopping the other day.
Why do most cars have speedometers that go up to at least 130 when you legally can’t go that fast on any road?
That one I have absolutely no idea. I actually talked about this a few weeks ago with my partner. He said he doesn’t really understand either. There comes a speed when you can’t even control the car after a certain speed…So who knows.
Did they purposely make dyslexia hard to spell?
Yes!lol…I actually suffer from dyslexia myself and it took me a while to remember how to spell it properly. I always feel stupid if I get the letters mixed up.

What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever worn?
I actually wrote about this a few weeks ago. I was helping my Pa build a bit of a dingy years and year ago. I wore these legging that were really baggy, like really badly baggy. But I wasn’t wearing them to make a fashion statement. However my brother and cousin are really into Fashion and would not stop paying me out.
In your opinion, what’s the best type of cheese?
Jarlsberg Cheese…It is so freaking good! I feel like drooling just thinking about it.

Have you ever sent a text message to the wrong person? Details please.
I have actually, but it really wasn’t that serious, which was lucky! … Or not depending on you look at the situation. I have accidentally sent a text to my Dad that was meant for my partner. Which could have been truly horrifying! As you can imagine! Luckily all I was texting my partner about was dinner that night. I say, not so lucky, because then I ended up having to talk to my Dad. Talking to my Dad is always a chore, he sort of expects you to talk to him. So he’ll send a text that usually wouldn’t require a response, but he expects one.
If you could make a rule for a day, and everyone had to follow it, what would it be?
Before you post or reply to something online, you have to wait at least 5 minutes AND do some actual research before you post. No posting a picture with words on it, ie, memes. You HAVE to be able to back it up with some actual facts.

There are so many and it depends who you are fighting and why you are fighting, or am I thinking about this too much?lol
