Another One! How much more can we take? R.I.P

2016 has taken a lot from us, Bowie, Rickman, Henderson, Prince, Wilder, Natalie Cole, Ron Glass…Just to name a few and now they have taken another one!

Popular Australian print magazine, mainly aimed at youth and teenagers, Dolly, have decided to stop printing their magazine after 46 years. For those who don’t know Dolly is a well known Australian magazine that deals with youth and teenage issues. It’s not a heavy amazing as you can probably tell by the picture below. It has mainly bits and pieces that are/were relevant to youth at that time.

International Model and successful business woman, Miranda Kerrs, career was launched with Dolly.

Never fear though! Dolly is still around, it’s just online now instead of in a print version, people will be losing jobs though. SO technically not actually dead. Yet, another blow for printed materials though.

Roald Dahl Dictionary!

Over this past week I found the most awesome thing ever! Roald Dahl is going to have his own Dictionary printed! How awesome is that!?

If you don’t want to read the article, here is the breakdown. To mark 100 years since Dahl’s birth on (September 13) Oxford University Press this month released The Oxford Roald Dahl Dictionary, a comprehensive guide to the biffsquiggling — that’s puzzling — language of Dahl. The Dictionary explains around 8000 words and their meanings.

“In keeping with Roald Dahl’s spirit, we explain ordinary words in very unordinary ways.”

Did you know? They discovered that there were 300 new words ‘invented’ in the”BFG” by Roald Dahl, alone!

Harley vs Harley

I am a HUGE fan of the DC character Harley Quinn and by fan I mean the original Harley Quinn. I’ve tried playing and getting into the other Harley Quinn, but as the saying goes “You can’t beat the original”. I just don’t like the other versions of Harley Quinn.

This of course is just my own personal opinion, but the other versions of Harley Quinn are just either really annoying or childish (I think that original Harley is child-like, not childish) or they are some kind of “sexed up” version of her. Which isn’t really her either, she pretty much only loves the Joker and she might seem sexy, but I don’t think that she’s even aware of it. Whereas the others KNOW it.
