Inside Out

I finally got to watch the popular children’s film “Inside Out” (2015)…I know, I know…I had planned to see it when it came out, but I just never got around to it. I am not lying when I say that EVERYONE told me that I had to see it, I would completely relate to it…

They lied…

I found it really boring. I had go in expecting to be completely thrilled and taken on this amazing ride. Now to be honest, maybe it transfers differently from a cinema screen to a television screen, but I just could not get into it. I found it really boring and really sad, it had been the complete opposite of what I had been expecting. I also really didn’t like “Joy”. I found her far to controlling and thinking she is far better than the other emotions. Maybe I was thinking to literally, but there just seems to be something wrong with trying to be joyful all the time. I felt she was more “arrogance” than joy. It just didn’t sit well with me. Which is weird because most people would say that I’m a happy person. I am, I just know it’s not possible to be joyful ALL the time. Which I also realised was one of the lessons to be learned, but it just didn’t sit well with me and I wanted to tell her to leave Sadness alone, lol

It also make me think though about seeing movies as soon as they come out and getting all caught up in the wild storm of a new film coming out. Instead of people waiting to see, giving it some time, everyone has to go and see it as soon as it comes out. I wonder if that makes people jump on a band wagon, so to speak. Getting all caught up and it’s actually not that good of a movie. In a age where people don’t like to be “wrong” I think this is a real possibility. Sometimes these “must see” movies, just aren’t really that “must see”.

I remember hearing recently about how these days, not only are there problems with “spoilers”. There are also problems with people knowing about the entire film before it even comes out, the costumes, outtakes, Instagram shots etc. Whereas a few years ago, you knew about the general idea. The actors, maybe the plot, but not much else. You’d probably get one or two movie posters but that would be about it, if we were lucky. These days it almost feels like we demand to know everything about everything. However, I will be writing about that more in another Blog later.

I promise I wont tell ~.^

We all know that we have one secret that we don’t want others to know about. Being apart of the Nerd/Geek community is no different. Every person I know that is apart of it has that one “thing” that is still nerdy, but would be deemed “uncool” by the other Nerds. So we don’t tell the anyone else about it.

Now I consider myself to have a “Safe Blog” I’m not going too try and hunt you down and stalk your various Internet social media and rat you out. I would really love to know what your guilty nerdy pleasure is though. Even you may not consider yourself a “nerd” or a “geek” do you have a guilty nerdy pleasure?

I guess if I’m asking you too share, I should probably share myself. Many probably know that I have a “childlike” quality. One thing that has never really truly grown out of me is my love for plushies or soft toys. Over the years I have had to cut down on my plush toys, because it’s not acceptable for a grown adult to have any. So to remedy this, I get “nerdy” plushies. Most recently I was given a Harley Quinn plush for Christmas. It is amazing how it’s “alright” to get plushies when they are “nerdy”lol … If my plush toys could talk, I would have to get rid of them!
