So there was a TERF, who was complaining about how Lego is not for adults, and anyone who does play with them, is probably a pervert and trying to groom.
You know what cracked me the most though? This account calls themselves the “Wild Woman Writing Club” and they think Lego is only for kids? Did you know some Lego sets can cost up too $500?! You know how I know, I’ve bought two of them for my partner. Are they trying to tell us that parents are buying $500 lego sets, just for kids?
This got us all talking about how not everything is for the kids.
For those who are relatively new to my blog, I buy teddy bears from a company called Charlie Bears. While, like Lego, you can buy them for kids. They are best suited for adults. Of course, you can all spend between $70-$500 for a teddy bear, for a kid. But they are best suited for adults.
Oh, colouring in books! I have a whole lot of them! I wouldn’t be without them. And I am always on the lookout for more!
So yeah, absolutely not everything is for just the kids!
I even have a couple of Barbies, lol … Mainly because though they can be useful sometimes in pictures and also…I mean, come on…a Barbie you can meditate with! I was SO disadvantaged as a child, lol It has a puppy that you can show the mood you’re feeling…I mean…COME ON!!!
I decided to go with the muggle questions this week. I just really liked them, haha!
Muggle Questions (of a more philosophical bent this week):
Is intelligence or wisdom more useful?
Hmmm…Woo, another good one! I think Wisdom may be, just a little bit more useful than Intelligence. While intelligence may be useful, sometimes, depending on the type of intelligence. There are different kinds of intelligence.
How important is play in living a healthy and fulfilling life?
Oh the most important! You need to be able to play still, always. If you don’t play, life just becomes dreary. The play doesn’t even have to cost anything either!
Is happiness just chemicals flowing through your brain or something more?
I think it’s both. I think you can also chose to be happy. Kind of like that “fake it till you make it” kind of thing. Some days I need to make myself be happy.

November is really not that far away, lol…Even if it’s a totally horrible outcome. December, which means Christmas, is just the next month.
This video is really funny, because I play this game and this video was made 4 years ago. So even though a lot of this video is of high praises. A lot of this guys issues with the game has now been fixed.
The game that this gentleman is talking about is called Guild Wars 2 and it is probably my favourite game at the moment. I am playing it at least for an hour pretty much every single day/night. The format of the game is MMO.
MMO stands for Massively Mutilplayer Online (MMO) Game. Which means that you can play with all sorts of people from different regions. Unlike multiplayer games you don’t necessarily have to have a friends list to play with others. Depending on the popularity, and the capability, of the game, you can easily have hundreds if not thousands of people playing at the same time. They are generally not invisible players either, you can easily see them as they run pass you.
The most well-known MMO is probably World of Warcraft, South Park even made an episode based on the game. However, I have never actually played WoW. The two that I mainly play are Guild Wars 2, as mentioned before, I am on there pretty much every day. I used to also play Warhammer Online, and I actually really loved it! However, they discontinued in 2013. Warhammer online is based from the Warhammer games made by Games Workshop table top game. Which was funny because I was dating someone at the time, which is how I was introduced to the game, but I find the actual table top game really boring.
If you play Guild Wars 2, please comment below and we can totally be friends!
I have a bit of theme today you might notice. I used to play with Barbies all the time when I was little. I still have a Beauty and the Beast, Beauty and Beast barbie dolls. I had a few Barbies, one Ken and an Aladdin barbie doll. I used to love playing with them, not because I wanted to look like them. I wanted the lifestyle that I was playing with them. My Barbies were global rockstars…What where yours?
I hadn’t actually read the whole of the article, but the first half is about a dream house, that is very Barbie Dream House like. The rest of the article is about Miss Valeria Lukyanova. If you are unsure of who she is, she is a young lady who has spent a few…quiet a few…thousand dollars on herself, to make herself look like a Barbie doll.
I was honestly so inspired by a post posted by the awesomely amazing The Wild Readers and there recent posting of https://thewildreaders.wordpress.com/2016/03/04/discussion-br%E2%99%A5mance/. I was inspired because when I started to think about and thought about two of my favourite “bromance” type relationships. I started to think about who I would love to play those characters in a movie. Please feel free to comment below on who would play your fantasy characters and why!
The two that I started with was Colin Morgan (Merlin) and Toby Regbo (Francis/Reign) playing Jem and Will from “The Infernal Devices” book series by Cassandra Clare.
It’s not even so much that they look like the parts, but the characters that they have played previously are very similar to Will and Jem.
I have also always wanted to watch Tom Hiddleston (Loki) play a Mr Darcy type character or even Dorian Gray! I believe that Tom Hiddleston has played “Mr Darcy” type adaptation, but I want to see him play the real character. I cannot wait to watch Tom Hiddleston in his new series “The Night Managerr” it also has Hugh Laurie in it.
Also my dream has actually come true as well when we are talking about Emma Watson playing in the upcoming live action film version of Beauty and the Beast (IMDB 2017) Every time they make an announcement on another casting I am overjoyed.
So I believe that I’ve embarrassed myself enough…Let’s share!
I’m not sure how many of you have been following me for and how far back you’ve read some of my posts but I am a bit of “Gamer” and by that I mean I am very basic. I like games where I can relax and just chill, I’m not really into big shoot ups and a lot of the more intense games I’ll play by myself just because I am so “noobish-like” and I just want to play, ya know? The most intense games I’ve played recently are Witcher and LoL (League of Legends) but even with LoL I only really play against the Bots and my partner, lol.
Any-ways one game that I am obsessed with, in fact, it’s the only game that I can play that I lose all time with is “The Sims”. The Sims is a “life simulation” game and I am currently playing The Sims 4 and I’ve actually been a little disappointed in though because they still wont release a “Sims Pets”. Come on Sims Pets!
Anyhow, I found this funny article on a site called “Buzzfeed” and if you also enjoy playing The Sims I am sure that you will find this extremely relate-able! Number 23 …. SO much want!
I have been seeing Barbie copping a lot of flack and I feel like somebody needs to speaks up for her because I find it frustrating. I used to play with Barbie when I was little and I think I turned out, reasonably, alright =P Barbie should be a role model for the imagination which is exactly what I used her for.
She’s a doll, and although I am not a parent and understand I may cop flack for saying “parenting things”. Maybe your biggest fear shouldn’t be a doll. Maybe your biggest fear is thinking that a doll, repeat doll, should be the one teaching your children about their self esteem in the first place? I never once thought that I should look like Barbie, I wanted all her careers, I used my Barbie’s and created many different worlds with them. I use to host a radio show with my Barbies, had them be rock and roll stars, psychic, mummies and daddies. I even learnt about disabilities because my Ken lost his legs. Barbie has had many different careers and many different versions, she (and Ken) how to imagine.
Even with her television show, she’s not a “mean girl”, she’s all about friendships, how to work hard and how to be kind to others? So I am not really sure why suddenly we are putting Barbie in a category she doesn’t belong in?
I think as adults we put too much of our own fears into children and that’s when the problem happens. We do not give children enough credit, they will notice that you “fear” Barbie. Technically shouldn’t you fear ALL dolls then and the self esteem issues that they will give your children?
Stop letting other “things” teach your children, because they learn from us. It never once crossed my mind once to want to look like her? I’m going to be blunt here and maybe some wont like it. If your child has self esteem issues because of a doll, repeat doll, maybe it’s not the dolls fault? Maybe it’s the adults in her life? Maybe we should start taking responsibility again for raising our children?
Most importantly Barbie taught me how to play, by myself and with others.
In case you hadn’t realised I am a bit of a “Geek”…a nice one of course, not all “Oh so you only play PC games, well you suck!”…I love all the games, including the ones that I can’t even play. There is one game though that I just LOVE to play, I have been obsessed with it ever since the very first version of it came out (2000!) The Sims!
I love creating the characters, creating their lives and creating their relationships. The Sims 4 is even better than the others! The creation of the your character just surpasses all the other Sims games. I know that it is a coincidence, but one of the outfits for the characters I actually have in real life!
At the moment I have just received an achievement for playing the Sims 4 for 5 hours and I’ve only had it the one day…Shocking, I know! I thought that maybe it was time to get off the PC and came back on the PC to write about this game that I just love and is very magical to me. At the moment I have created a character after myself (of course) Orlando Bloom and Thorin Oakenshield.
