Excitement News!

We’ve paid the first installment of the deposit for the reception and ceremony…As I’m writing this, I have just realise that I have got get in contact with a celebrant.

BUT…

Now I know what’s happening, I can actually plan things. Now, I know that you don’t want to hear about the more boring details and probably my little family dramas. But I am planning on making a lot of the decorations myself. So, I am hoping that you will join me or encourage me with helpful wedding ideas.

I’m planning on making each table, with a little theme. So far I have, Magic the Gathering, LotR/Hobbit, something to do with crystals, lol. As far as I am aware, not including the “bridal table”. I’ve got 9 other tables to think of. I did think of Warhammer, but that would only work if I can invite those people, otherwise, it’s useless.

I’ve even got ideas for kids. My partner and I, and my brother, as the only ones without kids. Since a lot of them have to travel far, it seemed a little unfair to not bring their kids with them.

One of my biggest problem, I’ve got too many ideas, especially for the tables I already have selected. Just not enough ideas for the ones I have not…As I write this, I’ve realised I can do a table about books.

So I’m engaged

I did very well this Christmas.

However, I was asked a lot of questions about the engagement. I hadn’t even got the ring back yet, haha.

So because I don’t have to travel to see my partners parents for the next couple of days (we both have colds/flus and a lot of his side are immune compromised). I have spent today looking up “Wedding Things”. Mainly the fun things, my goodness, there are so many ideas out there! I have been able to find things that my partner and I would both enjoy.

We want a Spring wedding (so for us, that’s September, October and November). That’s all we’ve got so far.

Also, because we have got a flu/cold, because I’ve been going for the last two weeks, pretty much non-stop. Now I know I can relax, of COURSE my body is going full flu/cold, lol.

What I would like to know as well though. I would love to invite all you bloggers to it. I just know that that is not very practical. Would you be annoyed if I posted things about the planning? I do not want to be one of “those” brides. I actually think my Groom may be become a Groomzilla, and I already have enough people driving me nuts, lol. I don’t want to do it to others. I would love to be able to write about the process though and share my ideas with someone.

I wont do it though, if you all find it too annoying.

Are you ready?

So, it’s the beginning of September.

Are you ready for Christmas? Haha…

I bought my first Christmas present last week, and it made me feel a little better. It was a horrible week last week. This week isn’t really looking that much better, but I have been good with myself, and have not buy anything for myself … Yet, lol

I LOVE planning for things like Christmas, and even though I’m Australian, I love “celebrating” Halloween too. So I’m trying to think of something for that too. It’s all going to depend on what happens with my Gran AND of course, if we go into lock down or something.

Christmas may also be a little sadder this year, NSW and Victoria are not looking like they’re going to be “open” in time for Christmas. Half our family live in one of at least two of those states.

One week to party time!

I…(either bravely or really stupidly) decided to throw a Halloween Party next week at my house and there’s quiet a few people that are coming.

See, I live in Australia and we don’t actually really celebrate Halloween…(although each year it seems to get bigger)…I have a list, but you know when you have a list and you think to yourself it’s still wont be “enough” That’s where I am right now.

So, anyone with any ideas? SO far I’ve got “Cards against Humanity” (card game) I’m trying to figure out how to put my horror/thriller movies that I’ve already bought onto my Itunes, I’ve got one on there so far, and that was with help from someone else…lol.

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

I LOVE the smell of a nice smelling man! That aftershave, phew! I can be completely involved in something else and not concentrating and some guy walks past me and he smells good, I always look!

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?

Long hair! My hair is pretty much a little bit more than halfway down my back, the closest that I have ever come to having it short was my mum “accidentally” cut my hair unevenly and we had to cut it up to my shoulders to make it short. I know that everyone would love to seem me with some sort of pixie hair cut, but it is never going to happen…NEVER!

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?)

Most of my things I like to plan as much as is humanly possible. As the years have gone on though I’ve learnt to relax more. The only time I like to stick to a plan is when I have something booked in and the time, place (etc) can’t be rearranged, then I stick to the plan. If it’s something though like just going out to have a few drinks with some friends, I can “go with the flow”.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

When the weather is perfect, I like to take a cup of tea and read my book =P Hey, it’s outside! = Outdoor activity.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I think that this week will be an interesting…Lets go with the flow =D
