GRATITUDE:

I found this interesting challenge and did it myself.  I’m offering these questions as a gratitude challenge for those who care to do it.    You can answer in text or photo.

We took her to the vets today, the Vet was very impressed with how well she’s doing.

An open fireplace…Now the weather is getting colder here, a lot of our neighbours are starting to fire them up! Does anyone else find that just the smell of an open fire during Autumn/Winter can make you feel all warm on the inside?I don’t have one myself, but my neighbours do.

The Perfect Picture

What a horrible week!

Apart from a lovely a visit from my baby brother, everything else has gone horribly wrong!

I do have to say that I have been loving the responses to my Liebsters Award post and how its not just myself that has some good plush love happening! In a totally G rated capacity…(that could have been weird!lol)

Below is a picture of myself and my latest purchase…Her name is Savannah and she is a “Charlie Bear“, but I had to go on ebay to find her. They’ve all discontinued her year. I bought her because she looked just the right size for some cuddling and I also bought her in memory and in honour of all the little lion cubs that I’ve seen and we’ve lost on safarilive

Lions have always been my favourite and top 5 favourite animals of all time!

Baby explosion!

So another quick #safarilive update and it is a really happy one…There has been an explosion of baby animals, mainly in the predator area.

We’ll start with the Queen of Djuma herself, Karula.

Introducing to you Princess Charlotte (pic with her mum) and Prince George. Karula is probably one of the best mothers that there are out there. She has successfully raised all her litters, except for one and that was not her fault. The death of that particular cub brought in a new rule that no more than three cars can be in at one sighting of baby animals. If they are really new, there are to be NO cars what-so-ever.

The next to talk about the Nkuhuma lions! They’ve recently had three, roughly a month or two old, but the even cuter find was yesterday on the sunrise drive! Look at the gif below!

However the most exciting news is about the Styx Pride…Now we haven’t seen the Styx pride on the Safari Live drives. We have seen videos and pictures of the new little bundles. The Styx pride has probably been hit the hardest of all the prides in the area. They lost all of their cubs born last year, including a sub-adult female. Two lionesses…So it’s so good to hear that not only have the Styx have had cubs…They haven’t had just one or two…They have had…8…8 CUBS! 8 cubs how wonderful is that!

Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures?

I would rather take the pictures, than be in them. When I’m feeling pretty though I might take a picture of myself or a “selfie”. No one see’s them, I use to post them on Facebook, but people would pay me out too much (even though plenty of others were doing the exact same thing…Who knows why one can and one can’t). I did actually have an Instagram for a while, but I got bored of it pretty quickly.

Where do you like to vacation?

I LOVE Queensland! The people are gorgeous, the weather is pretty much always lovely 90% of the time. It’s a great place to be, if I ever won the lottery I would definitely buy a holiday house there.

If you had to describe your day as a traffic sign, what would it be?

Give me coffee and we can be friends =D

The Sampson Flat BushFires

Seeing as most of my viewers come from a completely different hemisphere, I just thought that they would like to know that here in the Southern Hemisphere it’s Summer. Since I live in the driest state, in the driest country in the world it’s a recipe for bushfire.

As I am writing this here in South Australia we are experiencing one of our worse bush fires since the 1984 Ash Wednesdays, which was just as devastating. 12 homes have been confirmed as lost, 20 more are feared destroyed and an entire kennel and cattery has been burnt to the ground, and unfortunately all of the cats were killed and a large majority of the dogs too. 13 CFS (Country Fire Services) volunteers have been taken to hospital with slight burns and smoke inhalation.

At the moment Firefighters are trying to fight the fires before Wednesday when the temperature is supposed to rise again. The Australian Business Insider has got some informative articles on the fires, including a lot of pictures showing the devastation and how large the fire has gotten.

Instagram

I have joined the world of “Instagram”…It’s not so much I’ve “given in”, it’s more than I can win gift vouchers on there for the clothing stores that I am really in love with.

Instagram is so much different from all the other social media sites out there because you are pretty much trying to express yourself through pictures and photos. I am not an expert photographer so it’s making for an interesting time. I’ve gotten a few followers and have no idea how to get more, so any advice would help me out so much. I’m not sure if the more followers you have, the more chance you have at winning competitions.

Random Rants for the win!

So I’m not really sure if it is because of my break up but things that have been bugging me have been bugging me plus 10 this weekend. I don’t really want to make a huge rant on Facebook…because ironically…That’s been one of my major pet peeves… So here is a list of things that have really been bugging me lately, you might find that you relate to a few of them:

1. In ALL of the “self-help” type pictures, which one of them says “Clog up your friends Facebook news-feeds with pictures that have quotes and sayings on them to get over your problem, but don’t actually say what the problem is”….Where does one of this “self-help” pictures say to do that to help yourself?
2. Girls (and guys I guess…Just haven’t seen any of them) who pose with no one else in the photo, but still squat in their Facebook profile pictures like they are going to the toilet.
3. People who post their profile pictures on the side and they still get 200+ likes…Well they’re not liking you for your brains are there!lol (I don’t even know why that trend is taking off)
4. Girls who complain about not being able to meet a decent guy…When they only go out to clubs all the time.
5. When you miss someone so much and you wish you really knew what is going on in someone’s head and if they miss you at all.

I feel much better now =P
