I just wanted to start this post with that I have come off Twitter, for a few days now. It’s insane. I didn’t even report Trump Supporters for threatening others. Targeted Harassment, constantly. I can’t even remember having to report for threatening behaviour. In the 24-48 hours before I decided to come off for a while. There were at least 6 people I had to report for threatening behaviors, not only towards trans people, but also threatening to harm trans allies.
Can I just start this one by saying that I think I’m getting the title of this completely mixed up every week … Haha!
Patience is a virtue…
Where Do You Not Mind Waiting?
You know what, I don’t mind waiting at the Doctors. For some reason waiting at a Doctors seem to piss a lot of people off. If I’m at the Doctors to just get a prescription for a pill, I don’t mind waiting, because for all I know. The person that’s in with the Doctor, is getting some really BAD news. Bad news, that I am sure at some point in our lives, we will all have to wait for. Or they’re running late because earlier in the day they had to give bad news.
What Is In Your Fridge Right Now? (you’re not required to give a comprehensive list)
Food and Drinks…Hahahaha!lol….There is definitely left overs. A little chocolate, because when we put the heater on, it melts the chocolate. Definitely cider and coke…like coca cola…not coke coke, lol…There are lot of cans of sprite and 7up (lemonade). I usually like drinking them in the Summer, not Winter so much. So they tend to collect during Winter.
If You Could Only Speak One Word Today, What Would It Be?
Would You Rather Be Trapped In An Elevator Full Of Men With BO Or Three Soaked Dogs? (this is with the codicil that C-19 doesn’t exist)
THE DOGGIES! ALWAYS THE DOGGIES!
An Attitude of Gratitude
Please feel free to share something good about last week. This is NOT mandatory, it is just if you’d like to.
The new transfriend/people I have made this week on Twitter =D
Yes…I totally stole the title from John Oliver’s segment…That’s not the issue here =P
Recently I saw an ad for a current television current affair show program…I probably could have just written current affair show…Anyway I digress…
I get waiting a couple to a few hours at the emergency room can be frustrating, but I can’t understand why there’s a sudden increase in people getting threatening and getting violent at emergency waiting rooms.
I suspect it has something do with the sudden in increase of “It’s all about me” of all generations, even still though, surely common sense should prevail? Apparently not, even with all the information being constantly give to us about visiting the emergency room when there is an actual emergency. People seem to be on this increase, ignoring this entirely and feel the appropriate reaction is to yell and scream at the emergency staff.
Now, I can understand people becoming paranoid and Googling any symptoms they have and visiting the emergency, especially since visiting the emergency rooms and being seen too is free (I suspect that is part of it too). However, what I cannot fathom to understand is the abusive attitudes towards the staff, when you’ve had to wait for a couple of hours. Which is what will probably happen and has been happening for a long time. If you’ve got a cold, you’re going to have to wait, it’s a fact of life.
I know it may be hard for some to think of others when their entire life is all “Me, Me, Me” but you HAVE to remember, this is the emergency room. People ARE dying, this is no joke. This is actually a life and death issue. I’m sure that you wouldn’t appreciate it if someone with a sniffle is taking the Doctors and Nurses away from you because they are getting aggressive. It’s one of those situations where I beg people to think of others.
I read this article today and I think that it is probably something that everyone should read and everybody at sometime in our lives are going to experience. Sitting and waiting in a Doctors waiting area is about as likely to happen as taxes and death are. At some point in your life you will be in a Doctors waiting area, sitting around.
How many time have you sat there waiting impatiently, not understand why they’ve made that appointment if they are never on time?
This article is written by a local GP and I think it’s a great written entry and really makes you think “Be Kind ❤“…Now I’ve never been one to get hugely upset when I’ve made an appointment because I’ve always thought that this was the way and I’ve had a health scare in my life as well, where I needed to ask a few more questions than I usually would.
However, I do start to get irritated when I’ll see someone else, doing that whole, looking at their watch, then that huge sigh, then look at their phone, huge sigh, walk around, tap their fingers…I try telling myself that these people are just anxious about some test results, but then they start going up to the Nurses and complain about how they just need to get a repeat prescription.
So this morning is one of those mornings where everything is happening and this Tuesday is my last day after the busy period where I work. So I’m taking the rest of the week off. So here’s just a brief overview of what’s due to happen today:
- Bidding ends at 6:30 in the morning on an item I really want to get (cannot remember the last time I had to wake up that early!)
- New phone is scheduled to come today.
- My favourite clothing site is having a collection come out today and I’ve been saving for this one for a while.
They are just a few things that are happening today, of course I’m at work all day today, even though I have the rest of the week off #firstworldproblems. It’s just always seems to be the way. Do you find that too readers?
