The Lolsy’s Library Shop Update

So I’m not sure how many of you are aware that I know have a website:

Lolsy’s Library

The major reason I started the website was because I was completely inspired  by crafts and creating something that I could sell. Something and ideas that were related to my Blog. I bought items to create candles and those little polymer clay figurines. Originally I had planned to have them all created and done by now.

However, I didn’t plan on the planning, that it wouldn’t be so easy to just up and create things. There are different types of polymer clay and of course the ones that I bought are all hard and are hard to use and mould. There is “soft polymer clay” however, which means now I am going to grab some of those, but they will still take a few days to get here. As for the candles, I need more equipment to create those. I need to go to an op shop and get some pots and pans. As well as more scents.

It’s not all going exactly to plan…Isn’t that life though!

Here’s what I need to do soon:

• Two pans to make the candles. Ones that can be damaged.
• Look into soft fimo…I haven’t really found any colours that excite me!
• Have to get the warning flame labels for the candles.
• Need to get better sculpting tools for the polymer clay. The ones I bought, half have broken already.

Thankfulness

As I mentioned yesterday in my post “Share Your World … Week 47” Since I live in Australia aka Down Under we don’t have Thanksgiving. Doesn’t mean we’re not grateful, and I know one group of people who are having a Grateful Thanksgiving dinner here.

One thing that I am grateful for here is because of Thanksgiving, we are able to take advantage of a lot of the online Black Friday sales, and I do love me a good sale! Especially just before Christmas! I am also thankful I only have to see video of the people who visit stores on Black Friday…They are terrifying! We should also not forget the Native Americans who are protection the water at Standing Rock.

Although I have seen that all my favourite Geeky/Nerdy online shops are having Black Friday sales today as well…What’s a girl to do!

Here there be Dragons!

I cannot believe that I have never mentioned this company before! Although I may have mentioned it before, but definitely not for a really long time. I have bought three of these precious babies and you should definitely take a look!

They just recently had a sale (not sure if any of them are still up there) but the other great thing about Little Fat Dragons is that they also do auctions! One of their little Dragons, who is up for auction, the money of the winner is going to a worthy cause. So please go and have a look!

If there are no Dragons left, never fear, they tend to do a sale every couple of months.

Stuff and Things

So since my post last week about “Little Nooks” for your reading areas. I have found so many more amazing things that you can just have in your room. I’ve listed a few of my new favourite sites (where I’ll look for hours, but never buy anything). I’m always trying to find “things and stuff” for that day I win the lotto and can have my dream house.

I found this amazing page on PinInterest. The page is called “Cool Stuff for Teens” but it’s really a bunch of amazing reading chairs that you can have in any reading room. To the very extravagant chairs, to many different variations of the ‘bean bag’.

Now personally when I’m reading a book, I tend to drink warm drinks with my book. Don’t know why, but I just find it so much more relaxing. However, I found these amazing USB mini fridges where you can put in a can or two, or even a bottle and keep it nice and cool. You can probably even put a nice glass of wine in it, to keep to cool. These products can range from about $30.00 – $60.00, depending on the brand, type and size.

Then as well there is always the little bits and pieces that go into your room. D.I.Y Ready Now I know a lot of these are for “teenage girls” BUT just your creativity to suit it to your needs (or wants…Should stop looking at these sites, they make really want to win the lottery,lol)

I’m going to be that person today =D

Oh yes I am going to be that person today, that person that you just hate, that person you’ll want ‘unfriend”, that person that makes you want to scream “Shuddup! I don’t wanna know!” … Oh yes today I am going to be that person!

I’m only posting this because I had a conversation with my partner and I started to realise how some people don’t even panic. I guess because I’m a natural worrier I plan for Christmas months ahead. When I wasn’t working at the beginning of June I would put something away each fortnight, saving a bit each month. Then at the end of the August I’d start buying presents.

You might be able to guess that I’m a big Christmas person =D

What’s to be done with this Homer Simpson?

I just thought that I’d put this video up because how true is this?! I’m at a point in my life where I can feel that everything is just changing. But what’s to be done? Where does one start? I can’t keep living the life I’ve been living, I am so happy in my romantic relationship and I am enjoying too much just hiding away every single weekend with him, I just can’t keep doing that any- more.

Naturally I am an introvert, but even I have to get out and see people. Unfortunately a lot of people are driving me nuts at the moment, which is why it is easy for me to hideaway.

The other problem is that I have possibly TOO many ideas going on in my head, so many ideas and no idea where I can start with any of it. I would love to do something, possibly using my Blog to sell stuff, start my own fantasy jewellery online shopping. Cosplaying is something I’m looking into, but even with that. Sewing is not my “forte” and I have no idea where to start!

Any help?!

Christmas Sales = The most depressing time of the year!

Having a conversation with my Mum and we both agree…The sales (both online and in store) are the most depressing time of the year. I don’t know how people can spend just SO much straight after Christmas! I have no money, it is so depressing. My mums depressed…I’m depressed…It’s all just to much!lol…So much beautiful clothing for sale!!!

I’m waiting to see if there are any sale after New Years =D

It feels like Christmas

So I wanted to make a little post to help get you through the rest of Christmas Eve (personally I am having a hard time to stay awake) So I thought that I would post a few nice Christmas type links and pages that you can look at. The first is a link to Kermit the Frog singing “It feels like Christmas”. This has to be one of my favourite songs of the whole of Christmas. Kermit is just a happy little chappy.

Although it is a little late now, I have always enjoyed a little window shopping. Just looking at now Disney Store and there is so much fun stuff on there!
