I was literally having a conversation with someone who REALLY believes that trans people are more of a danger to same sex people, than Catholicism…
Anti-vaxers complaining that they have no Freedoms, while shutting down a Lifeline Book Fair in Canberra. Lifeline is a non-profit organisation that provides free, 24-hour telephone crisis support service in Australia. Volunteer crisis supporters provide suicide prevention services, mental health support and emotional assistance, not only via telephone but face-to-face and online.
They did this on Saturday, our politicians (except for those in charge) aren’t in on the weekends. All they did was make people go back to their home, because they felt unsafe and lose businesses money. I don’t honestly “get” what these people are trying to do. It’s like they WANT businesses to lose money. Yet, they complain about how vaccine mandates will lose businesses money. Canberra, by the way, is the most highly vaccinated State/Territory in Australia.

So, they went to the most highly vaccinated State in Australia, to stop mandates, that don’t exist.
And what is WITH these people and they’re all “We have the Science” when they don’t and they don’t even understand what they’re talking about? I had someone try to insult me, who has in the bio “Science is the solution” Say about me “Oh Lolsys a typical lefty, thinks all species should be mixed together in a big mixing bowl” I explained to them (one) calling me a lefty, isn’t an insult. When the other option is to be like them, scared of complete strangers, over the hill bigot, yelling about their freedoms, while taking away completely strangers freedom, with no sense of irony, like themselves. (Two) humans can and do mix with other species. It even has a name. Xenotransplantation, but he knows about that, because he “likes” Science.
I had a good giggle at that one.
