Taylor Swift goes after twitter haters and those who hate the LGBTQ community. Her song writing is so clever you need to listen to it a couple of times to get what she is singing about. This video is using a colorful palate to get its point across.
For those wondering at home, Beyonce did not invent the pool party…Lying on a big floatie “video”. Even the caravan scene, Beyonce wasn’t the first. I love them both…but you need to calm down,lol
It’s my birthday month and so far its been pretty bleh, but it is getting better…So I want to do something that’ll make me happy. Some of these songs are covers, but I enjoy them just as much, if not more than the original.

I actually started writing this post a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn’t remember the names of all the video clips. So I had to go and have good look and do some researching. I was inspirred to write this post after reading: Life lessons around the dinner table – March Music videos – Day 30
I was reminded about how much this video freaked me out and how I feel about it now. Then it got me to thinking about videos that would freak me out and how basically, as I have gotten older, I get them a lot better. I understand them a lot better. So below I’ve posted a few videos that used to freak me out and not much anymore.

Massive Attack: Teardrop
The baby floating around in there, with little bits floating by…Then it’d start singing! It was released in 1998, so I would have been 13ish. So the thought of a baby floating around singing, crept me out. This is was around the time we were being taught Sex Education. It all felt like “Alien” too me. Obviously as I have gotten older, I can see the beauty in it.
Soundgarden: Black Hole Sun
This one was mainly with the faces that expanded. Still freaks me out actually,lol…But when I was younger it used to really terrify me.
R.E.M – Losing my Religion
I still don’t like how they poke around in the “angel” I cannot watch this video still! I love the song, just don’t like the video.
Marilyn Manson: The Dope Show
Marilyn Manson has to be one of the most interesting artists to have ever existed. My brother was fascinated with Marilyn Manson when we were younger. I didn’t get him, at all, and this video confused me. As I have gotten older, I have “gotten” it…Well, I think I have. I never really did drugs when I was a teenager and now as I have gotten older, still haven’t. So I have no idea if this is what happens on Dope? Marilyn Manson is now one of my favourite artists. His version of “Tainted Love” is probably my favourite, including the original.
I’m not sure how many of you are on Facebook, I only have a personal one, so I wont share it on here…I have attempted to make fun pages about things I love…Mainly reading, and I started to create a page for everything to do with J.R.R. Tolkien. Which was were I was going to make a safe place for anyone to share their love for anything J.R.R. Tolkien, which included the movies. It amazed me how many admins of the other pages would get violently upset about Tauriel, like ridiculously so.
However, I didn’t end up doing it, because I am so not brave enough to do it.Before I go on some rant about the whole Tauriel/Kili/Fili death scene. My reason for posting this today is, if you have a Facebook page in any sense you’ll know what I mean by a “cover photos”. Long story, short, its where you pick a picture for the background at the top of your page.
If you could though, choose a video, instead of a photo to represent you on your Facebook page, what video would you choose and why? Feel free to tell me what video and feel free to tell it’s none of my business way too! I mainly thought of this, because I saw the “new” Black Eyed Peas video for “Where is the Love” and I would LOVE to have that as a cover photo…To represent me and something that I stand for.
So today is my last day in a section of my workplace that I don’t usually work in. I offered to cover their usual receptionist while she was on holidays. It’s not my most favourite of areas, but it was more hours, which means more money during a usually quiet time where I usually work. I swear this song will be running through my head all day. Les Miserables is one of my all time favourite musicals.

I have been really struggling of something to write for today’s session of “Magic Monday”. Mainly because my brother was attacked and mugged last night. It’s kind of weird, I can be really easily distracted as my “norm” but today my mind has been going a million miles an hour and so I’m finding it hard to concentrate on one thing. My baby brother lives interstate so there is this overwhelming feeling of complete helplessness as well.
I might be able to come up with something later, but for now I’ll just leave you with this, the beat is helping me =D
