Let’s be honest, the worlds a bit shit right now.

Mass Shootings,

Body Autonomy being taken away

We have the big election this weekend (can you imagine what the Murdoch media is like!)

Anti-LGBT is a lot of the Murdoch media around the world. By the way, just as an semi-curious question, is there anyone you’re waiting to die? Not related at all.

Elon Musk may or may not buy Twitter.

I would like to know, apart from turning off social media, apart from the turning off the news. How do you cope when the world is pretty much, well crap.

I, probably obviously, like to read. I will just sit and read.

Now I enjoy gardening. I’ve gotten a couple of disgruntled text messages, because I went to check on the garden, ended gardening for a couple of hours, lol. Do gardening without taking your phone outside.

I play my games, so my Sims, Planet Zoo and sometimes Age of Empires.

I have so many colouring in books, lol

I guess I like to create.

Creating things makes me feel useful, if only in my own little world. I think that’s the important bit. You have to make sure you feel useful, even if it’s only for yourself, or too protect yourself.

I’m also sort of stuck right now, I want to create a home for my partner and myself, but he’s s fussy! Like he’ll say he’s okay with me making the home more of a home, but then you know, he’s clearly not. Because it is his home. He bought it, I help out with shopping and bills, but it’s legally all his. Sometimes I have to sneak things in. Or plan a good time for a “reveal”. It puts a hamper on things, lol. He buys this beautiful house, that I don’t actually like. But then he wont let me do things, so I can make it more “homey” and a house I like, lol

I used to have baths, but the bath plug broke, lol

And of course, music. Mostly Enya when I literally need to “sail away” in my own mind, lol

Questions:

What do you think of professional motivational speakers?  Do you think they motivate?

I think a really good one can. I’ve seen some in person and I’ve watched a couple of videos online. I think in order to be really good though, you need to be able to read your audience well. The biggest problem that I find is that after a while, the motivation tends to dissipate. So if you don’t motivate yourself in that time, you will lose it.

Do you have a favorite flavor?

Mint or Peppermint…Not always spearmint though…Weird, huh?lol

While out walking, you hear a rustling in some bushes.  What do you think of?

My mind either goes blank or I start thinking “God, I hope that’s a possum or one of the local cats”lol…It always is,lol…Or it’s a bird of some kind.

What’s your ideal temperature (nature-wise)?   Hot, cold, temperate and mild, humid or bone dry?

Either Springish type or Summer going onto Autumn weather. So warm, but not stupidly hot, lol. So a little warmer than temperate.

Attitude of Gratitude

That I got ask back to work!!! Woohoo!!!

The Holiday Tiredness

I have really been struggling this past week to think of anything to write, I think that I am suffering from the Holiday Tiredness. By this I mean, my brain is finally getting over the Holiday festiveness at the end of the year. That my brain has just turned itself off and it just wont work…But then, that in itself, is kind of something to write about as well.

I’m not even sure if my brain is tired because I’m thinking to much as well, of the things I want to do, but have no idea where to start. Or that I’m thinking of all the ways that I could start, that it’s making my brain tired that way as well.

Ahh, the mind…What a wonderful thing it is!

Do you feel the Holiday Tiredness as well? Especially after the festivities have ended and you are trying to get back to a “routine”. Does your brain, just turn itself off? Do you have plans in place to get yourself back “in the game”? Or do you just keep going along and wait for the ‘buzz’ to come back again?

Magic Feeling

It’s heading towards that busy time of year again! It’s getting a bit harder and harder to sit down and actually write something at the moment, but I am going to do my best! What a lovely way to start on a Monday morning with a lovely quote that makes you think … If you’re heading to work or having a bad day I hope this lifts your spirit =)

Changes are coming!

This is definitely feeling to be the year where I think for certain things are definitely going to happen. I already feel fussy and I know that if I don’t get to doing something soon the motivation will disappear, but the problem is…Where to start?

I already have ideas for doing some cosplays this year, but I don’t sow so I don’t even know if it’s “wrong” to get someone else to make an outfit for me. I know what I wish to do, but we’ll see if it happens. Cosplaying is not cheap at all!

There is also some motivation for this blog and maybe writing up some reviews. Now I have never done a professional type of review before, I have always just written my personal opinion, so will have to do some research into that. I have actually thought about starting to write a novel of some kind, but I really feel like you have to have a calling for that. I’m not sure what I’d write about or where to even start!

Watch this space for more, changes are happening…

Resolutions

It is no secret fact that the end of a year, any year, it makes people reflect and look back at the year and decide what they wish to improve on for the new year coming.

Last year what I did was instead of making resolutions for the year coming, I made a list of what I was going to leave behind in the past year. I actually found this was really a lot better than making promises into the future. Mainly because we don’t know what the future holds for us. So instead of promising myself that I would “lose weight” I worked on writing less emo-type posts.

I found that by making promises to myself of what I’m leaving behind, I could concentrate on that. I could work on myself and then I was able to work on things that were thrown at me in my future, things that I didn’t see coming. I have to say that personally it did work for me, so I shall be doing that again. Instead of starting new problems, I decided to work on old issues of mine so that I could leave them behind.

Here are a couple of things that I will be leaving behind in 2015:

  1. Less talking about my ex’s, so I can concentrate on my new partner
  2. Being unproductive and be more proactive on finding a job IN a Library, rather than just having a job.
  3. MORE motivation for meditation!

What are your “tricks” for the New Year? Do you make resolutions, or do you do something else instead, make a goal for the new year?
