So it begins…

I FINALLY got around to getting something to start the Garden with.

I know I should be saving for the Wedding, but it’s just a day. However, too me, I would much rather up do the home, and make the backyard my little “sanctuary”. I want to make my home, a home.

I am kind of enjoying planning my wedding. But planning my home, is much more happier and much more meditative. Mainly because my partner doesn’t care to much of what I do. My entire life my “safest” space has been my bedroom, but now I have to share it…with a man…woooooooooooo, lol.

I need a quiet space, one I can run too when I need too. The biggest challenge will be to make it mosquito repellant. They love to suck my blood! Haha.

Meditative Space

Ever since my birthday, I have been inspired people! Inspired! I feel all renewed.

We have a back room, that I want to turn into my own meditative, escape type room. My partner has his own office, at my own house/my mums house. My bedroom there was my safe space. I don’t make enough money to have my own house. But I need a room to meditate, to cry, to be able to feel like I can write in peace.

My partner doesn’t get it, lol.

Do you have a meditation space, or a space where you can feel creative? I really am feeling like I need something like it. What’s in your space?

National Garden Meditation Day

Well while this is a silly little holiday, it’s still a good one!

Lately, I have been working really hard in the garden. As we head towards winter, I am making sure that one) we are not over run by weeds and two) all the plants I have planted in memory of Travie, stay alive.

The weather has been lovely the last couple of days and I don’t really have an excuse to not do anything in the garden. We had two dead trees and they are nearly go. There are some areas that were covered in pines and sticks from the trees. There’s not as much, as much as I love the big tree. It does make such a mess!

I would LOVE to create a garden out the back, that looks amazing from the back bedroom. I honestly wish that it was the master bedroom. I am currently trying to turn in into my “escape” type room. It would be amazing to create something stunning out the back here! We also had a little unfortunate incident. I think the European Starling tried to take on the Raven family in the tree and lost =/

My Mantra

I have been hearing a lot lately about Mantra’s and I have not only been wanting to figure out what they are, but what are they meant for?

How to create your own personal mantra – Oprah

A Personal Mantra is a sound or a group of words that are personal to yourself and yourself alone. You repeat them to yourself…They can be syllables, a sound.

Spiritual Mantra’s are a sacred utterance, a sound, a syllable, word or phonemes, or group of words in Sanskrit believed by practitioners to have psychological and spiritual powers. A Mantra may not have a syntactic structure or literal meaning.

Mantra – Wikipedia

The most well known Mantra is “OM”

OM

Om is said to be the first sound heard at the creation of the universe. When each syllable is pronounced fully, you should feel the energy of the sound lifting from your pelvic floor all the way up through the crown of your head. The droning sound of the Om is said to unblock the throat chakra, which can lead to more attuned communication with others.

Why am I writing all this?

I want to find my OWN personal mantra…The best way I’ve discovered that most people do this is too:

  • Write in a journal for 30 minutes, write in the mornings as your mind is usually clearer at this time.
  • Rewrite what you have to written, put more a pertinent focus on what you’ve written.
  • Write a focused, declarative statement.
  • 10 minutes a day…Say this statement. You can do it walking, you can do it eating…

World Peace Card Meditations

You are invited to take part in the next World Peace Card Meditation. Please mark your calendar and forward this email to all your friends.

The next World Peace Card group meditations have been scheduled for Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30pm. This is local time in your time zone. This method has been chosen because of the special effect it produces. As people meditate in each successive time zone the energy builds like a wave which gets stronger and stronger as it circles the planet. Because of the higher dimensional nature of consciousness, the energy of peace will be transmitted for a full 24 hours and continue long after this.

Additional World Peace Cards – http://www.reiki.org/WPCM.html
Note: This is a larger file and it may take several
minutes for it to open, so please be patient.

Please set aside this time to meditate with the cards. The suggested meditation period is 15 minutes, but of course you can meditate longer if you’d like to. The technique I’d like you to use is based on allowing yourself to be a beacon of peace. The World Peace Cards hold the vibration of the World Peace Grids which have been placed at spiritually significant locations and are relay stations for higher consciousness. By simply opening to their energy, you’ll become a channel for their love and peace which will flow through you to all the people on Earth. To do this, hold the cards in your hands or place them in front of you. Then simply meditate on peace. We are entering a new era. Our entire planet including all the people and living things are moving into a place where it will be much easier to solve our problems and to create peace, prosperity and happiness for everyone.

Safari Love Live!

For those who read my Blog a bit you’ll know my obsession with the Nat Geo’s Wild Safari Live and how much I love it (you can also find the drives on Ustream WildEarth Safari). Usually what I’ll do is make a post about new baby animals or just introduce or update on the more well known animals. Some of the animals even have their own Facebook page! (Will post links at the bottom).

Today I just want to explain a little bit about why I love this live web feed/stream so much.

The drive is kind of my form of mediation these days, even when the predators are on a hunt (which if they get a kill I can never watch). It brings me back to reality, animals, especially wild animals live in the moment. They are living minute to minute. Things can change so rapidly overnight for them.

It’s made me love animals that you would think would be unlovable. I for one am now am a big fan of Hyenas and Warthogs. You really do get to see these animals, live and wild, the strongest bonds of family. Mama warthogs are extremely protective of their little piglets and the little piglets are just a joy to watch. They bound around so much and are full of energy.

The people, the guides and the chatters (I’m mainly in the Social Stream). The guides are so friendly and they keep it so real. Even when something unpleasant has happened, they are there to remind us about the harshness of the wild, but also the love and how resilient the wild is.

So what do I do when the safari drives are off? Which is a good question, the safari drives are only on for three hours two times a day. Never fear! You can always go to the Djuma Cam and Pete’s Pond while you wait for the drives. I like to have them on the in the morning when I’m first getting up, it’s very therapeutic. You can just chat with the other viewers, there’s usually someone around as the cam’s and the drives have viewers from everyone all over the globe.

Junior of the Nkuhuma Pride (Facebook) … Junior is “unique” he’s the offspring of the Matimba Males, who were overthrown by the Birmingham Boys. However, the Lionesses of the Nkuhuama were able to help support him grow into a much larger male. We’re not sure where Junior is now because the BBoys are dominate and he would have been chased off. He’s special because he was with the NK Lionesses for such long time, much longer than usual.

Share Your World … Week 5

Share Your World

http://ceenphotography.com/2016/02/01/share-your-world-2016-week-5/

If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronic devices and things stored on them, people or animals), what would you put on it?

  1. Would have to be my special figurines. I have a couple from the Jim Shore.
  2. There are couple of pieces of jewellery that I have either gotten for people (in memoriam) or been given that I treasure.
  3.  I have a few favourite books as well that I’ve had for years. Whenever I “re-find” them in a box I am just so happy.

If you had a box labelled ‘happiness’, what would you put in it?

Oh my goodness, what a great question! If it’s just a box, I would have so many photos in there. Possibly some favourite pieces of jewellery. Bookmarks and some of my favourite pens, maybe a wig or two, lol.

What do you want more of in your life?

I want a more steady job with more of a steady income. It’s getting really frustrating not knowing how many shifts I’m getting coming in and so I don’t always know how much money I’m getting coming in. If I could have that, I swear everything in my life would be pretty much perfect.

Daily Life List: What do you do on an average day? Make a list of your usual activities you do each day.

  • Take all my medication (at the moment it’s all just natural stuff, nothing serious).
  • Depending where I am a cuddle with either my puppy or my partners cat (he’s a weird cat, he really loves to cuddle, lol).
  • Probably some Blogging of course.
  • I usually will play some kind of computer game, even if it’s only for a little while.
  • I will usually watch either Petes Phone (Ustream) or Djuma Cam (Ustream). Especially on the days that I miss the safari live drives. They are pretty much now a great form of meditation for me. I’ll just have one of them on in the background.

The Single Woman Blog

When I was single I was use to follow a Blog called “The Single Woman (America)” … I used to get all her email notification, blog updates. Mandy Hale is a awesome inspiration for people who are struggling at being single. I actually do still follow her Blog as I think that some of the ideas she has can be used for every day life (and is good for single men too!).

For example her new “challenge” for the New Year is: “A Beautifully Uncertain 31-Day Challenge: Week One” Where every day you do something else, cleaning things out, finding 10 minutes one day for mediation. What I love about what she is doing, is it is really easy and you can get most of it day within the one day. I am doing this and I am not even Single!

I always feel like in the first month of the New Year, that’s when you have to start making your Resolutions/Goals happen, even if it’s something that takes 10-20 minutes of the day. Once you get into a routine you will find it harder and harder to get out of it! So for every Thursday of January I will post up the links to Mandy Hales 31 Day, Weekly Challenges. Do it, you wont be disappointed!
