QUESTIONS:

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

It depends what the week has been like to be honest. It’s been a busy week, I do not want to do a thing. I just want to play games and read. If it’s been a quiet week, then I want to get out and about. Even if it’s just to do the grocery shopping, I just need to get out. I am a homebody but even I go stir crazy if I stay inside too long.

Who do you admire most in the world?

I admire a lot of people, it’d be hard to bring it down to just one person. I’ve been finding over the last couple of years that it’s all about the quality, not the quantity.

What do you regret not doing?

I don’t know how honest I should be, because I’m happy now and I don’t honestly consider any of my exs as the ones “who got away”…because I am now with “the one”. There was one guy years ago, I used to wonder “What if I had” and wish that I had. I’m not sure if I “regret”, more had wished sometimes I had taken a different path, and then glad I didn’t, because I’m happy now. I do regret not walking away from some people sooner, but then maybe I wouldn’t be where I am now.

If you see a puddle on the ground, do you walk around it or over/in it?

Wooo, good question! I had to actually think about it. I am pretty sure that I try to go over it. If it’s too big, I obviously go around, but most of the time I try to go over. Probably because I’m headed straight and am just focusing on going straight.

This week, instead of gratitude/thankful for question(s), I’m asking romantic, squishy booby hug, possibly sappy and overly sugary QUESTIONS about love:

If you have an S.O. or spouse,  how do you know that they want to make love, without them saying a word?

He tends to just come up behind me and “bumps” me,lol…He has a sensitive stomach, so when he can bump his stomach…Usually means he’d like to do the deed, lol

What’s the most romantic gesture your lover has ever done for you?

In all honesty it was in the middle of the night and I was having an anxiety attack, and he could feel me trying to get myself together and he kept asking me if I was alright. I just felt like I couldn’t speak, so he just hugged/cuddled me and I just melted, lol.

What items would your romantic dinner for two contain?

Probably something completely different from each other, lol.

Does your lover make your heart pound and your pulses race or is it a more comfortable together, I’m so glad (s)he is with me kind of thing?   Do they make your heart melt?

He just makes me happy, especially when I can make him smile. I love it when I can get him to smile. He makes my heart happy.

Heed these Words!

I remember two days before I had my first panic attack. I was sick, I couldn’t move without throwing up. Yet everyone kept “demanding” that I show up and help them out. I was SO not okay and I did not listen to my body and how angry I was with pretty much everyone at this point. I was sick and they just did not care.

What is something that people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of?

Complete strangers opinions and lets’ be honest for some people it obviously affects them badly and then spend all this time trying to prove how it hasn’t affected them. I’ve always felt like if something really doesn’t affect you, you don’t spend a lot of time on it. It’s okay to be upset by these things, people are cruel, especially strangers who it doesn’t affect. Pretending it hadn’t, doesn’t help either. You take it on and don’t do anything about it, it’ll get worse.

What quirky things do people do where you are from?

We make up words and for quiet a few years there all of us “kids” thought that the words the adults in our family were talking about, were real words. For example we say “Parple” which basically means “Fart”. I personally say szchikabab instead of “Shit”,lol.

What are some things you wish you could unlearn?

In regards, to one of the above questions. I have learnt how cruel people can be, I wish I could unlearn and still have that naivety that people have some sort of good in them.

Who is someone that you miss having in your life?

The first person that popped into my mind was my Great Grand Father and also my Great Grand Mother, but I never got to meet her. I’m sure a lot of people would agree with me too! My Great Grand Mother was apparently very kind and not much seemed to bother her. She had polio and lost half of her leg because of it, but when people first saw her after the operation they didn’t even notice. My Great Grandfather definitely had an Irish temper, but he generally sweet to his family, especially to me =D hehe. They were also both WAY ahead of their time. We found my Great Grandfather “scriblings” and he was so smart! He wrote things about religion and do we really need it now, he was learning Greek at just over 80’s year old because he wanted to go to Greece and see all the ancient sites, before he unfortunately had a heart attack.

Eurovision

It’s another edition of Magical Monday…YAY! =D I hope today’s Monday isn’t too tough for you! (On a completely different note, I am trying to think of a different subject to write posts about as I feel that I am not writing on here enough..Watch this space for more!) For this edition of Magical Monday, I have decided to write a little about Drag Queens.

This is actually a subject I am quiet informed on as my brother is one and if any of you followed me on Facebook you would be able to see how amazing of a Drag Queen he is!

One of the main reason I decided to write about this subject is because a lot of my followers are not from a Europe so I am unsure on how many of you have even heard of “Eurovision” and if you are unaware of who won the competition this year. The winner of Eurovision this year was a ‘bearded lady” called Conchita, who is a man in Drag. When I first heard about it a lot of people were upset about the winner. So I sat down and watched it and was shocked to find he actually has an amazing voice and the song reminded me a lot of a Bond theme tune.

Russia has already put a ban into a parade for their own singers (which I found extremely sad because they girls are beautiful singers). Eurovision is a competition that takes place in a Europe country/city/town and has produced some amazing acts like ABBA and I have no doubt that Conchita is going to make a huge impact on the world in one way or another. She is already getting interviews with huge name chat shows hosts.

Please listen to Chonchita song below:

As I mentioned before my brother is a Drag Queen and this weekend he travelled to Darwin to participate in a new competition called “Queens of the Galaxy”. Which is where one Drag Queen from each state of Australia is nominated by their fellow drag queens about who should represent their state/territory. Anyone who knows Drag Queen knows how competitive (nice way of putting it) Drag Queens. However, my brother won the first ever competition of Queens of the Galaxy, which means he was the first Queen of the Drag Queens in the whole of Australia. My entire family have been extremely proud of him and how he has represented his particular community.

Another television show that I think represents Drag Queens beautifully is “Ru Pauls Drag Race”…I have watched at least four seasons of the show and it is one of my favourites and I never miss it! Ru Paul is utterly beautiful, both inside and out and is also hilariously funny! One of my favourite quotes of her is shown below and I repeat it to myself and some of my friends continuously!

The Single Woman 30 day blogging challenge, published 2013

22)   What fictional character in a movie, tv show, or book do you identify with and why?

Oh my goodness this is a tough one! I love the fictional word (for those who couldn’t guess) and there are so many different fictional characters I relate too. I also feel that I’ve related to certain different characters at different times.  I relate to movies/books like The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings just because a lot of people agree that that would be the world for me! Or a place like Narnia, I guess characters that come from a feudal type of world…but with much better health facilities, lol. I guess I don’t relate to a character, but more I relate to the characters in a particular type of world.

23)   Talk about a moment when you got annoyed with a married friend, a person in a relationship, or a person with kids (Be honest! No judgment!)

I am constantly getting annoyed! I don’t know many people who make me want a relationship or to be a mother to be honest. I see so many bad parents and people who are constantly cheating or are in relationships for the wrong reasons. There are one or two couples that make me go “Awww” but they are very few. As for parents…Damn some of them are SO bad! I literally will tell my partners that they never have to worry about getting myself pregnant on purpose and then I go into the horror stories. Some of these parents are my best contraceptive, lol

24)   If you could relive ONE day of your life, what would it be? And would you change anything?

Once again there are so many that I’m not sure I could ever choose. There are two that I wish I could change in particular. One would be I would have stayed longer in the room when my great grandfather was dying (I was only two and seeing him hooked up to the machine freaked me out). The other would be there is one person in particular that I would tell them just how much I loved them instead of being so frightened and assuming that they knew. Being older and wiser, although I know they know that I love them, they will never understand how much and why and now I’m not really in a position to tell them.

25)   Describe a moment when you “paid it forward.” What happened and how did it feel?

I feel like I am always paying it forward, someone does something friendly or unexpectedly friendly for me and this puts me in a good mood that I go and do something for someone else.

26)   Name a song that makes you cry every time you hear it and why

The song that gets me every single time without fail is from the “Phantom of the Opera” and it’s called “Wishing you were somehow here again”. It reminds me of those who have passed on before me and who I miss…Because I always wish that they were still here.

27)   Talk about something that you really, really, really love about yourself.

I have a hard couple of years of extreme self-doubt, but the thing I love about myself the most is my loyalty. I am discovering how rare this attribute actually is. Even when I am completely down on myself I am so happy for anyone else that I care about and will always help and support in what ways that I can. It shocks me how many girls will wake up in a bitchy mood and just go “Oh I’m going to be a bitch today because that’s the way I woke up” (it also shocks me just how many guys worship these girls too).

28)   Describe a moment when you made a big, bold move. In any area of life: Career, Love, etc.

Definitely love! I had never had a serious relationship until I met my first serious boyfriend at the age of 21. I had had boyfriends, but they’d only last a couple of months, I have no idea why I had no interest in relationships during high school, I just didn’t I guess. So what do I do for the first time I fall in love? I don’t just go and date some local boy, oh no I had to go to the extreme and fall in love with someone from a completely different country. It was hugely rewarding though, although the first time I went over my ex went to the wrong terminal…For about an hour I was panicking that I had been stood up in a different country! lol…We ended up being together for 3 years and we are still really good friends.
