I am so disappointed, but I have to stream…

Hahahaha…

Seriously though, I had a plan today for my posts. I was going to announce how my website is going to be up and running this Monday. Unfortunately, with lockdown, means it would be hard…as I left all my stuff at my Mums -.- Haha! I didn’t even think this latest lockdown would happen, so now I’m “trapped” at my partners house. My mum has gone to my Grans. So I’m kind of stuck. I had really made myself all wound up…This Monday was going to be the Monday!

So instead, I’m going to take a little more time to read through my website and make sure everything is okay. Nothing like double checking everything is set up.

In the mean time, I am going to be streaming. Now as I write this, at the moment, it’ll mainly be on Discord, via my Discord Channel – Lolsys Library … I am going to try and get it set up in Twitch though. Apparently you can, but I can’t figure it out. Basically is this message if still up, it means I haven’t figured it out. So you have to have a Discord account. With Twitch, you can just go to Twitch TV and watch, you don’t need a account.

I have decided to go with the Sims…When I streamed Planet Zoo, it was just too fast of a game. I’m going to be playing tomorrow night (my time) 7:30pm (AEST). Feel free to join!

A Homage…

I hate to start a Monday on such a sad note…but this week there’s really not been much that has been happy. Through sadness as well I believe we still learn…

I am learning one thing, that America is such an angry place right now. I have written a few posts this week on the Florida Shootings and the reaction…But that is not why I am here now.

For those who have been reading my Blog for a while now. Know that I am pretty obsessed with a live-stream called “SafariLive“. I’ve been watching for about 4 years now. They mainly focus on Djuma and the Sabi Sands. It’s also where I met my first dominant male leopard…Mvula

IMG_20180218_162023

He has been my favourite male leopard, especially dominant one. However, he is 13 years old and in the past year or so he has been ousted by a new male, Tingana…It’s the African wild, it happens…However, he had been fantastically well! Was still mating, was still getting meals…Even when he was dominant, he had no issues with younger leopard cub.

Unfortunately, no one has seen the Magnificent Mvula since the beginning of January, he was not looking good then, and has not been seen since…Which is never a good sign. Predators like leopards do not have huge territories, even when they’ve been ousted. They tend to hang around the same areas, just on the outskirts. Chances mean he is gone…

I shall miss him, he was gorgeous. He was one of my favourites, considering how tough it is there for the animals, he was always “kind”. He would play with the cubs, even when he was ousted, he still played and shared meals with them. I’m not sure that he got into many fights? I hope he’s giving Karula a good bath right now ❤

Twitching to Twitch

I finally thought of something to write about, something that is really quiet magical to myself and I hope that it becomes magical to you as well.

I call myself a “creeper twitcher” which basically means that I watch a lot of Twitch streaming…

What is Twitch, I hear you ask? (Maybe)

Twitch or Twitch tv is probably the leading platform when it games to live streaming gamers and their games. More than 45 millions…that’s million…gamer use Twitch to live stream their games and other related live gaming type entertainment. This can be anything for watching other people play, people who cosplay making their latest costumer to food and drink. Some people will just literally streaming themselves having a party.

I call myself a “creeper twitcher” because I watch quiet a few twitchers. Some are harder to watch than others just purely because of the time different. As I’ve mentioned before it is LIVE…So this means because we are watching people from all over the world, sometimes you do miss a favourite twitcher. However, there a couple of Australians I LOVE to watch and luckily, they like to Twitch a lot as well!

I have often thought about becoming a Twitcher myself, instead of just stalking everybody on it. I just do not have the guts to do it! I honestly feel like that people on the Twitch community are becoming celebrities on their right. A new media for celebrity maybe?

What about yourselves? Do you like to watch Twitch? Care to share who you are currently watching? Are you a creeper too?

Friday Nights and First World Problems

I have been hit with an conundrum, three of my all time favourite movies are all on tonight!

potc-ends-worldhobbit-fivemoulin-rouge

What is a girl to do? What do you do when you are confronted with this “problem?” I decided to flick between the three, and then I ended up having the Hobbit on television and having PotC on my computer, live stream. I decided to not even watch Moulin Rouge in the end. I feel like with musicals, there needs to be a steady flow, no stop and starts.

Normally I work on Tuesday, but because of some of the permanent staff at work are doing training this week. A lot of us casual staff have had our days change, so today Tuesday the 7th of July…I am giving myself a #treatuesday.

Safari Love Live!

For those who read my Blog a bit you’ll know my obsession with the Nat Geo’s Wild Safari Live and how much I love it (you can also find the drives on Ustream WildEarth Safari). Usually what I’ll do is make a post about new baby animals or just introduce or update on the more well known animals. Some of the animals even have their own Facebook page! (Will post links at the bottom).

Today I just want to explain a little bit about why I love this live web feed/stream so much.

The drive is kind of my form of mediation these days, even when the predators are on a hunt (which if they get a kill I can never watch). It brings me back to reality, animals, especially wild animals live in the moment. They are living minute to minute. Things can change so rapidly overnight for them.

It’s made me love animals that you would think would be unlovable. I for one am now am a big fan of Hyenas and Warthogs. You really do get to see these animals, live and wild, the strongest bonds of family. Mama warthogs are extremely protective of their little piglets and the little piglets are just a joy to watch. They bound around so much and are full of energy.

The people, the guides and the chatters (I’m mainly in the Social Stream). The guides are so friendly and they keep it so real. Even when something unpleasant has happened, they are there to remind us about the harshness of the wild, but also the love and how resilient the wild is.

So what do I do when the safari drives are off? Which is a good question, the safari drives are only on for three hours two times a day. Never fear! You can always go to the Djuma Cam and Pete’s Pond while you wait for the drives. I like to have them on the in the morning when I’m first getting up, it’s very therapeutic. You can just chat with the other viewers, there’s usually someone around as the cam’s and the drives have viewers from everyone all over the globe.

Junior of the Nkuhuma Pride (Facebook) … Junior is “unique” he’s the offspring of the Matimba Males, who were overthrown by the Birmingham Boys. However, the Lionesses of the Nkuhuama were able to help support him grow into a much larger male. We’re not sure where Junior is now because the BBoys are dominate and he would have been chased off. He’s special because he was with the NK Lionesses for such long time, much longer than usual.

Queen Karula!

We have had a little miracle happen at the Wild Earth family. The Queen of DjumaKarula the Leopardess has given birth to a tiny little cub (possibly cubs!)

Karula
The Queen of Djuma! … Karula!

Karula is an awesome Mama, she is about 11-12 years old and until 2015 New Year she had no lost a single cub! For those who don’t follow the #safarilive team, Karula has a cub about a year ago and it was all very exciting. Unfortunately about 10 others safari cars wanted to see the little cub as well. With so much noise with all the cars and the people (who SHOULD have been silent, mainly children screaming … What the hell parents?!) the little cub was naturally curious, came out and was killed by Hyena.

It was devastating, you could tell Karula was in shock herself, she had never lost a cub before! Any-ways because of the situation there were strict rules placed upon the car and the guides. There are not allowed to be more than three cars at any sighting. With the birth of these new precious cubs and the disaster that happened last year, NO ONE is allowed near Karula or the cubs for at least the next two weeks and I think that is fantastic!

Share Your World … Week 52

Share Your World

http://ceenphotography.com/2015/12/28/share-your-world-2015-week-52/

Wow! So the last of “Share Your World” … What a ride! Who knows what I’ll be doing next year! SO let’s finish this one with a BANG! =D

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)

I actually writing this on the Tuesday 29th, but it wont be posted until Thursday the 31st (Happy New Year). However, the whole week is supposed to be really the same (somewhere around mid 30 Celsius … High 80 – early 90 Fahrenheit). So it should actually be nicely warm all this week.

What is most memorable about your high school years?

I would have to say that it was the final year of High School for me (and not because it was the last year either). I wasn’t “popular”, but I wasn’t “geeky” either. My little group could pretty much sit where ever we wanted because were kind of cool with everyone. Down Under our Wendys (Australia) sells Hot Dogs and not burgers and every Friday lunch time my girlfriends and I would always get a “Cheesy Dog” (pretty much a Hot Dog with cheese, instead of just sauce). Every now and then I still get them, lol.

Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewerly?

Knowing me, I probably did, but I can’t honestly remember if I did or not.

Complete this sentence:  I like watching…

Ustream Djuma (live stream) in the morning, I usually have that on in the morning, it’s extremely soothing and very meditative, just some sounds of very early African sounds. Also, whenever I can, I like to watch Ustream Wild Earth Safari’s, they are only twice a day for three hours each, but it’s amazing!
