Thursday Theories – Understanding

This is the problem with society today. It USED to be common that if you don’t understand something, you shut up and learn. It’s called having good listening skills. These days people will admit they don’t understand something, but it’s everybody else whose the idiot for you not understanding.

A quick break down.

Birthing person, pregnant person – Is inclusive language. It pretty much includes people who are not women, but are pregnant, so trans men. Birthing person can also include women who are pregnant, but will not be keeping the child after (for what ever reasons).

You might just be in an echo chamber.

One of the reasons I don’t block people straight up (unless they are particularly horrible) is because, unlike Joe Rogan, I am willing to hear “bad things” about myself. Because you know, I might actually learn something. Of course getting the clown emoji has happened to myself so many times, I always ask why now. Personally, I don’t think they actually know why, they just react.

But, what’s makes me different to someone like Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson, who don’t listen to criticism about themselves. You don’t learn, and you compound it by only surrounding yourself with people who only agree with you. Well there’s no hope for you.

That’s what an echo chamber is. You surround yourself with only people who tell you how are fantastic you are and never question you.

This is what happens on Facebook and Twitter a lot.

Like take for example the trans community. Pretty much every “first world country” cept the UK Government, and Texas. The majority of woman support trans women. It’s hard to see that with Johnson, or the BBC etc. But every single time something important comes out, women support them. It’s the men who don’t. So when I see a bigot say that FEMALE Prime Minister’s are pandering to men, ask them “How is she pandering to men, when men don’t support trans people”?

I don’t know about you all, I find that not agreeing with men, isn’t very “pandering” to them, lol.

Go Higher!

Long Post!

Every day we learn how to be a better version of ourselves, learn every day to push that.

Obviously, within reason. If you’re not feeling it that day, don’t feel it, lol.

I was “inspired” to write this post after seeing the ridiculous assertions from some (we know who they are) that Putin is doing this because of “pronouns”, because the West is too “weak” because of LGBT.

The Ukraine isn’t really “Western” and it’s about NATO, despite NATO clarifying that the Ukraine wouldn’t be placed in the NATO list. Also, it’s Putin. There are rumors that Putin had/has COVID and it made his brain a little addle. We will never be able to tell with Trump … Oh, I had too, lol

I also saw a picture a cartoonist drew of POTUS Biden shouting at a solider while that solider put lipstick on. Now I don’t know about any of you, but putting on lipstick while you’re being yelled at, is pretty hardcore, lol … That is definite “I don’t give a f”, and is not a weak thing, on any level, lol. Also what’s wrong with wearing lipstick? Wearing lipstick doesn’t make you gay, I’m looking at you, right wing religious conservatives. Maybe THEY should try putting on lipstick while being yelled at.

Now, this is not permission to start in-fighting. The amount of people who have “rules” on their profile. I’m sorry to tell you all, the only rules on Twitter, Facebook etc are their rules. If you want rules for your profile, then you make your account private or make sure only certain tweets, posts get out. Twitter and Facebook do have it so you can make sure only certain people can see it. It’s one of the worst thing about “left” and “woke” twitter, lol.

So many of them have rules! With no irony at all, that no one is THAT obsessed with their profiles. I’ve been “called out” a couple of times, because I didn’t follow their “rules”. One, I just retweeted something, if you don’t want to be hassled, you can actually stop people from retweeting. Two, the whole reason they claim that you’re not allowed to retweet them is that they’ll get hassled by TERFs. My Twitter account is a small account, only one person liked the tweet. Where as their “calling out” was liked by over three hundred accounts and many people questioning my “allyship”. Some people were asking “Are they (me) an genuine ally” and I’m like “I’m right here, I don’t have rules, my profile is public and I have open DM’S. You can literally tag me, see my profile and DM me. You don’t need to act like I’m invisible”. I ended up blocking everyone who did that too me.

It’s thing like that, from my side I can’t stand.

I have seen many an ally, say something or do something that someone doesn’t 100% agree with, and then they turn into who they hate, and when you point out to them what they’re doing is exactly what they say they hate, you’re called a fascists’, or not an ally.

By the way you don’t “earn” to be an ally, you either are you are not. Allies do not get it right 100% of the time. We don’t get it right all the time, we just don’t and we are always learning. But I have seen trans people come down hard on allies and literally dictate that they are or are not an ally. I get everything is emotional right now. There’s no point in-fighting. If you don’t agree, tell that person, but don’t attack them. Who does that help? By the way despite that harshness from some trans people on if I’m and others are “allies” are not, we’re not stopping helping others.

The sad part of this story though, a couple of months after what happened too me. One of these people lost their job, they’re now relying on handouts from people and hoping to make money from their Art. I feel sorry for them, but I get why they lost their job. When you’re that emotionally caught up, you take it everywhere you go. There work already was making it difficult for them and their disability.

I get emotionally caught up a lot, but I’m not taking it everywhere I go. I take it where it matters. That’s the trick. I’m not going onto Twitter and expecting people to follow MY rules. The rules are Twitter’s rules, the rules are Facebook rules. That’s it, and if you want to make your account more specific, you can do that, easy peasy.

Black History Month (US and Canada)

I feel terrible! I’ve been so wrapped up in myself lately, that Black History Month has just flown straight over my head. In the US and Canada, this happens in February, and in the UK and Ireland, it takes place in October. I would love to have on Australia, I just don’t think Australia is ready for that though =/

So for the rest of the month, I am going to make mentions throughout. This post is mainly about how you can support Black History Month, and I will probably repeat it in October. However, for this month, I am going to focus on America’s Black History.

We’re all here to read, learn and create. So I am hoping that you will help me learn throughout this month as well. If you feel I am over stepping my place, please let me know. Just as I am not trans, am I also not a person of colour, so please, let me know if and where I might be going wrong. I want to do this as respectfully as I can.

1. Support Black-Owned Businesses:

2. Learn About Noteworthy Black Figures and Their Contributions:

3. Donate to Charities That Support Anti-Racism Equity and Equality:

4. Purchase, Read, and Share Books by Black Authors:

5. Support and Learn About Black Women:

6. Listen to or Read “The 1619 Project” by the New York Times:

7. Participate in Online Events:

8. Attend Virtual Black History Month Celebrations:

At the moment, the US, is still very much in the COVID pandemic. So the more you/we can do at home, the better.

The creation of the month-long celebration stems back to 1915, when noted historian and scholar Carter G. Woodson created a themed week to honor Black history. In 1976, February was officially recognised as Black History Month, which over time graduated from being nationally celebrated to globally like it is in current day.

I wanted to start this off with something fun! What could be more fun, than dolls! This for the young ones, or the collectors or the “child at heart”. For boys and girls! But that will be my next post =D

What a beautiful woman, there’s so much beauty in those eyes ❤

A very VERY unpopular opinion.

I am expecting to get a lot of hate and a lot of unfollowing with this one. But I feel, and especially in light of recent events, it needs to be said.

If you totally hate me after this post, know that I am sleeping and “suffering” from side affect of the vaccine, lol

It’s time to put Sept 11 2001 in the past. Let this be the last year we “honour”.

We just essentially ended a 20 year war, that did nothing in the end. Because that’s not how you “win”. Violence only begets violence.

When you think about Sept 11th, it happens every day in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq.

Yes, it was the first attack by ISIS on Western soil. It hasn’t been the last time, and personally, I just feel like every time it comes up, everyone says to them that we’ll fight with a “Christian God”.

Well that “Christian God” has just been used as a excuse to ban abortions in Texas (despite God doing these himself). That Christian God, is why ISIS hate Westerns.

What have we learnt by going in and invading? Not much really. Well, one that was the beginning of the end for a lot of politicians. As THE PEOPLE DID NOT WANT TO GO TO WAR IN THE FIRST PLACE.

When will us Westerners LEARN that you cannot just storm in on old cultures and make them “better” aka make more them Western. IT’S NEVER WORKED!

It’s starting to come out now that when the allies went over, they decided to give them US style helicopters and weapons, and then … didn’t train them, that was over seven years ago. So while yes, the US left weapons in Afghanistan. The Taliban don’t really know how to use them, and they haven’t been trained in how to use them and upkeep. The Afghan National Army have been more trained in how to use them, and have enveloped some of the Taliban in it too. But why would you leave ANY weapons?

The better part of the weekend at Grans

I have learnt to appreciate a LOT with my weekend at my Grans.

Anyway, apart from that and after the horrible first day. The next few days were alright. Mainly because, and I don’t know why we didn’t think of it before. We wrote notes to my Gran, letting her know where I was sleeping, the dates that I’m here too and the days and dates that my Aunt and my Mum were going to be here too.

I felt HORRIBLE that first day, and I think that I upset the routine, and I never truly recovered from that day, for the rest of the week. My stomach hurt the whole time, which is a tad annoying when your family lives near a beach town. I had all these plans, and they went “poof”.

However, I LEARNT a lot.

My Gran was probably the most influential person in my life, I learnt my Reiki and Tarot cards from her. She was a library manager, and surrounded all her grand children with books and plays and musicals. On my Mums side in particular, we have a pretty amazing family. We’re all different, but we get on really well. Like I would say my Mum’s family are probably my best friends.

So seeing my Gran just make up story after story. Which I don’t even know if you can say that, because to her, it’s the truth. She’s not “lying”, because in her mind, that all actually happened. Which is what makes going out in public, really awkward sometimes. Because she’s a local, living in a small town, and if you knew her, but not as well as her family does, you’d think nothing was wrong, she is still very articulate. She was introducing me as her grand daughter (correct), but saying to people that I had flown over. Which I have lived in this state my whole life, but also in Australia, most of the borders are closed to other states, because of COVID.

What I learnt over the past few days is just how important family is. Especially when one member is really ill. My Gran gave so much too her community, and between my Aunt, mother and I, we’re the only ones who really communicate with her. We all have a story of a “life long friend or family friend” ring her up, only to discover when we are there, they hang up. Not to be heard from again. Which has made me angry, because a LOT, if not all of her friends are now friends with each other BECAUSE OF HER.

I just hope they’re not treated the same way.

So, sorry about the story, haha. What I learnt is probably the best lesson my Gran has actually been trying to teach me my whole life “Don’t waste time. Live Your Life, and as long as it doesn’t harm you or others, life threateningly … Just Do It!”

White Women Victimhood Package

Seriously, as a white woman, I would really love to know, lol. Is there some sort of white woman, victimhood package. Where a white woman is completely in the wrong, but then she gets to go on this “Victimhood” tour, where she gets to complain how much SHE was hurt. While the people that have been hurt, are ignored?

I’m talking about:

  • Suzanne Moore
  • Sharon Osbourne
  • Kelly Osbourne
  • All Trumps Media “advisors”.
  • Well, every Trump Government advisor or head of department.
  • Amanda Stoker
  • Bettina Arndt
  • JK Rowling

I know all about free speech, but sometimes I just want to say to these women and some white men too. SHUT UP AND ACTUALLY LISTEN FOR ONCE. Where I hear more about how you are not listening, rather than the people you’re not listening too, it’s actually really embarrassing to me, and I don’t understand how it’s not embarrassing to them? I don’t care that Sharon Osbourne doesn’t understand a WOC point of view, so she got defensive. LISTEN THEN! Shut up and listen. And if you continue not to understand, you most definitely don’t speak over the WOC trying to explain it to you. You will never learn if you’re constantly talking over the people you’re harming.

Just listen white ladies.

All that I’ve learnt

  • If I put the shampoo and the conditioner in my hair at the same time, I cut my shower in half =D Instead of shampoo in for five minutes, rinse. Conditioner,5 minutes, rinse. Do it at the same time!
  • I adore my friendships with my ex’s. I feel like if you’ve ended up in an ex relationships, because it just wasn’t working. Treasure those friendships. They’re unusual friendships, because of the romantic past, you know things about each other and have been through some things together. You know where you’re both coming from.
  • I learnt about ‘Impostor Syndrome’ this year. Not for myself, but it really did come up a lot this year.
  • Halal Birds are actually killed kinder than Westerners. The birds are not allowed to see the knife/blade, they sharpen it every time and they say a pray. Whereas Westerners don’t say a pray, grab them by their legs, don’t care if they see the blade.
  • How someone can know you for your entire life, but not know you.
  • Sometimes blocking people is the most grown up thing to do.
  • How much I know more about America than some Americans, lol.
  • I think chamomile tablets actually seem to work for me.
  • Love on the Spectrum is the best television show, if you can, check it out!
  • Creole means – are ethnic groups which originated during the colonial era from racial mixing mainly between Africans as well as some other people born in the colonies, such as Europeans and sometimes South Asian and Native American peoples; … Go Beyonce!
  • Handwriting these days it’s extremely hard to do when you can’t even remember that last time you wrote a letter.
  • There’s this thing where people crack open a little bit of beer, and put the can in a chickens bottom! It’s a good marination, apparently.
  • Christmas Beetles…Fly! I had no idea!lol
  • I love how some songs you find can relate to all sorts of relationships, not just romantic

Education

So I was having a conversation with some people, from both “sides”. About a Muslim woman who had her Habib removed, and how much this has traumatised her. Now when I say “conversation” I mean one person said that this Muslim women was over reacting and she was doing a disservice to people who have experience actual trauma. Then proceeded to call us wackos, because we said “How would she know what’s traumtising to another human being”. We were apparently the wackos because we don’t have super human abilities to detect if a complete stranger is traumatised or not.

Then she’s not a bigot, because she knows people from different cultures and has mixed race children. Then proceeded to like a comment from an actual wacko, who was saying that Subway wont serve pork anymore because Muslims “made them”. Then we had people who work at Subway say that’s wrong, but of course she didn’t like those then. Then when someone said she must be a Trump supporter, she said she can’t be because she’s Canadian. Like other people from other countries aren’t Trump supporters.

Then someone was claiming that Christianity was not trying too take over American Laws. They asked use to prove by saying that show a Law where the word God or Jesus was in it. So I mentioned the recent abortion Laws. Where if you have an Abortion, you can be charged with murder, as the Representative signed it into Law. She said and I quote “This is God’ Will”. They can’t actually have something like “Gods Abortion Law” But we all know what she means by Gods will…She didn’t say “Allahs Will” now, did she?
