This post was inspired, after reading a friends post on Facebook, about anti-vaxers of all things. This guy wrote a really relevant point about how it’s because of anti-vaxers and anti-maskers that we’re all in the position we’re in. How throughout History people have always complained about the Government “controlling” us. He even mentioned about how in the 80’s there was a article of a man who got a ticket and he was complaining about how the Government was trying to control them. The reason for the ticket? He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
Someone agreed with everything he said, except that they thought the 10 Commandments should be in a courtroom.
What are the 10 commandments?
- I am the Lord thy God: thou shalt not have strange Gods before me
- Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
- Remember to keep holy the Lord’s Day
- Honour thy father and thy mother
- Thou shalt not kill
- Thou shalt not commit adultery
- Thou shalt not steal
- Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s goods
As you can probably tell, after reading through that last. Only three of them are actual crimes. I do include:
Thou shalt no bear false witness against they neighbour.
Only because you can take that as perjury, which is a crime. So not even half of the commandments are even a crime. These would have only been Christian crimes, back in the day. They are not necessarily other Religions “Laws” or Commandments. I believe that someone people don’t even have to swear on the Bible, if it’s not part of their Religion or Belief system. I think it’s called “Affirming” rather than swearing a Oath.
Believe it or not, I actually have no issues with Religion, or Beliefs, in theory. Most of them are all about loving. And just loving your God or Jesus, or your Deity…Except for the Ancient Greek and Rome, but then they (I believe) were trying to make the Gods and Goddesses “relatable”.
We live in a Multicultural society, whether some people want to accept that or not. It’s not all about the Christian God.
