QUESTIONS:

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

I would probably just play my favourite computer games. Learning how to stream, so I can then start streaming =D I’d probably also so more crafty type things. I always want too, but especially lately with everything that’s going on in my personal life. I am just getting so tired and coming off my anxiety tablets hasn’t really helped.

What job would you be terrible at?

I’ve already done it…for a month…Should tell you something. I was trying to sell things over the phone. I am just not a pushy kind of person and after like 3 weeks, we all realised I had been doing it wrong anyway.

When was the last time you climbed a tree?

It would definitely have to be years, because I can’t even remember. I remember though the last time I hugged a tree. I was happy!

Do you count your steps?

Sometimes I do actually, if I am by myself and I don’t really want to be disturbed, but I forgot my music. I will do it, gives my brain something to do.

Bonus question (just because it’s really silly)   What’s the dumbest way you’ve injured yourself?

I am constantly tripping UP the stairs!lol…I tend to get loose pants and skirts, because it put less pressure on my stomach, which makes me feel not good when I travel. So a lot of my bottoms are loose at the bottom, so I tend to trip on them going up the stairs.

What are you reading right now?

I am kind of reading between two books at the moment, which you can find at my Goodreads link. Although by the time you read this I would have updated it as I have just finished one of the two books that I’ve been reading.

What was your first adult job?

It was a front desk receptionist for a tax/accountant company. I would get clients details, update clients details. Do whatever you think a front desk receptionist would do.

 What’s your favorite breakfast cereal?

I’m not sure if America have this one, but we have this breakfast cereal here called Sultana Bran and I loooooooooooove it! The juicy of the sultana crunching with the crunchiness of the bran it’s just fantastic. It’s one of those cereals that I could have for breakfast, lunch and dinner! A lot more of the sugary type cereals I tend to eat for a sweet snack.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though it has stressed me out a little to have no shifts for work this week. I have really loved waking up with my Dog. She is the cutest in the morning, I really must take video of her. She’s so lazy and just doesn’t care that we are still in bed at 11 in the morning (I don’t like waking her up,lol). You can tell that she is just so relaxed and so comforted to know that someone is home with her.

A job is a job

48. Your Job

I have two jobs at the moment, I work as a casual at both places. I am actually looking to get a more permanent position, I can go a couple of weeks without any work…Which is not where I want to be. However being a casual has a couple of perks and you mainly make more money (when you get the work). So I have had to become a really good saver. I can also say no to work as well. If something happens, that I don’t have to work (but I don’t get paid if I don’t work).

I have taken the last couple of weeks to help recuperate and I feel like I’m getting stronger, so I’ve asked to go back. So far, they don’t really have any shifts for me. Which is a little frustrating, I want to get back into everything. Get back into a routine again. Work is good in that it gives you something else to think about. Instead of staying at home and going through a morning routine and then nothing else to think about for the rest of the day. There have been a few times in life where I’ve appreciated having work to go to instead of hanging around all day and thinking.

But you have to get the right job for you

Working in the Library is something that I’ve wanted to do for years and I am so happy to finally be apart of it. It’s taken me about two years to get that first foot and sometimes, that’s what you need!

For your main meal do you prefer sweet and sour, hot and spicy, spicy and sweet, bitter, salty, bland or other?

I guess that I’d have to go with sweet and sour…One of my favourite dishes is sweet and sour pork =D I can’t handle spicy at all, I’m not very good with it. If something is too sweet or salty, I instantly feel unhealthy and so I’ll stop eating it. If it’s bland, it kind of feels like “What’s the point?”lol

Where do you hide junk when people come over?

Do I dare answer? Then everyone will know what I do! =Dlol … Sometimes and if I can, I hide things under my bed, mainly shoes though. I like to swap my shoes from Winter to Summer, so a lot of my shoes are all under my bed. The other place is in one of my cupboards, but it’s all right in the corner of the cupboard…A dark corner.

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?

I NEED to start meditating every day. I feel so much better after it and it helps a lot with my anxiety as well. I’m starting to learn a bit that I can only rely on myself.

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?

I would want to do the acrobatics and the trapeze and all that stuff, but I would honestly probably be the clown, lol.

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?

It would have to be either Lasagna or Seafood, if I get to choose when I’m feeling that I need to be a bit healthier.

What is the worst thing you ate this last recently?

I think it was more a drink than food…I think, I’m not 100% sure. It was milk, but it was only out of date by one day. Something definitely upset my stomach though and it was the only thing that I had that was a little funny.

You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?

It depends on what I “can’t” do. I can sometimes play the game “The Sims” for hours and not notice the time passing. Over the last couple of years though, and since I’ve hurt my leg, I can’t sit down and do nothing for hours. It makes my leg stiffen up.

List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.

Well I still actually have to get paid, but I am still hoping to get paid work as a Librarian. I think I would enjoy being an actor, I love to dress up and not be myself. I used to be on the stage for most of my life, doing ballet, drama and music…Then I grew up -.-

One Day More!

So today is my last day in a section of my workplace that I don’t usually work in. I offered to cover their usual receptionist while she was on holidays. It’s not my most favourite of areas, but it was more hours, which means more money during a usually quiet time where I usually work. I swear this song will be running through my head all day. Les Miserables is one of my all time favourite musicals.

Do you have a favourite musical?

One Day More! – Les Miserables  – 10th Anniversary Concert

Time for an unexpected change?! O.O

Over the last few days I’ve been asking for feedback about my Library job applications. It’s been a bizarre situation, I haven’t been able to get any interviews for just a casual Library position. I keep getting interviews for Managerial positions, which I never get because I am nowhere qualified for.

With the feedback, the only feedback I’ve been getting back is they wont give me any feedback because they’ve gotten too many applications. Which I get, but I highly doubt all of the applicants are getting back to them and asking for personal feedback. All of this has been making me incredibly depressed, I’m starting to wonder if the Library career is the one for me. I have even considered moving interstate where I know there are more opportunities, but now I can’t =/

So I’ve decided that I am going to keep applying for jobs for one more year and then I am going to stop trying so hard. However, I am starting to think that I want to try some different career, even possibly starting a small “on-the-side” business. Except I have no idea where to start because working in a Library is kind of unique.

What do you do to make a living or during the day if you are retired.  If you are a student what are you studying?

My main source of income is through working our local Tafe (which is kind of like America’s College’s). It’s only casual work so I can go from working all five days to no shifts at all. Since they’ve hired a bunch of new casuals, I’m getting even less shifts than I did before. So I’m looking for something else now. I also do Volunteering and I just finished my studies. It’s been really weird not having any homework, so now I’m doing more crafts. Hopefully will be able to make money from it if I get good enough!

Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.

No, I know a LOT of people who do those sorts of things every year. However, because I don’t have a license I walk around a lot. I also have a xBox Kinect and I play a lot of dancing games on there.

What is usually your first thought when you wake up?

It honestly depends where I wake up,lol…My partners bed actually gives me a bad back, lol. So when I wake up at his house I tend to be in a little bit of pain. When I wake up at my house, I can’t lie, I feel good, lol.

20 things I learnt in my 20’s

I have now turned 30 + 1, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to write about what I learnt in my 20’s as I now head into my 30’s…Scary as!

1. If you are lucky enough to have a good family, this is extremely rare, spend all the family time you can with them.
2. You don’t have to get drunk ALL the time, know your limits, not only will you not throw up but you wont have a hangover the next day!
3. Facebook does not equal best friends for life.
4. Take all the selfie’s you want too! You don’t have to post them on Facebook or Instagram, but if they make you feel good…Go for it!
5. Make time for friends and your romantic relationships.
6. Have at least ONE passionate lover that you do not date and you can be friends with afterwards. (Be safe!)
7. Volunteer or stand up for at least one cause you are completely passionate about!
8. You do not know everything…Listen.
9. Make time for yourself.
10. Not everyone is going to get married, live together and have children in that order and it IS okay not to have children.
11. If you have a passion for your job, or find a job you are passionate about, stick with it and improve at it!
12. If you have children in your 20’s, don’t let the rest of the world babysit and take care of your babies. Take pride in raising your children and don’t let the rest of the world tell you what makes a “good” or “bad” parent. Don’t be ashamed though to ask for help! There’s a lot of willing to help out there!
13. Not everyone is and will be your best friend for life, but you will figure out who your “real” friends are.
14. It’s okay to let go and still care about a person.
15. Do not let bad relationships waste your time or control your life. If you can’t let go…Get Help!
16. I repeat…Facebook does NOT equal best friends for life.
17. Sometimes you just need a cuddle from and with someone or an animal that is warm.
18. Do NOT stop reading! It doesn’t matter what it is, never stop reading!
19. Go to a local festival, convention, concert or to theatre at least one a year!
20. It is completely normal to be in your Twenties (heading towards your Thirty) and have a crush on a Celebrity.

Have a passion that is all your own! Like myself and my Blogging =D
