When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time?

Uhhhh, well if I’ve watched a scary film, I am probably going to leave the lights on…for a while afterwards. Most other times I try to turn off as many lights as I can. My Dad just “taught” me how much energy it wasted. So I guess what most of the time I try to turn all the lights off, but my partner loves having all the lights on.

What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500?

I would actually try and save it in all honesty. I might go to a favourite store and see what specials are on, but I would generally try and save as much as I possibly could. $500 doesn’t go to far these days >.<

Complete this sentence: My favorite thing to do on my cell phone is…

Too take pictures of the cat and dog…So predictable, I know! =D

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

It’s been a pretty horrible week, just generally wise. Every where you look there’s been some truly terrible news and all my work places are annoying me. However, I taped a show this week that’s come back on Foxtel that came out a few years again, and I was cracking up!…I didn’t realise how long it had been since I had really laughed at a show. As much as I love some of the show I’m “obsessed” with, they are actually kind of depressing. I will post some of the video, but I will warn you that he does use rude language. I am not lying when I say that this was the EXACT same skit I was watching.

I miss Dave Chappelle!

What was the last URL that you bookmarked or saved?

https://therecipecritic.com/2016/07/easy-sparkling-blueberry-lemonade/ … I am excited to actually make this, but I probably wont make it just yet. It’s Winter here at the moment, so I tend to try warmer drink recipes during Winters and then cooler drinks during the Summer. It sounds really easy to make as well.

Do you believe in the afterlife?  Reincarnation?

I do think there is an after life, not so sure about Reincarnation. My Gran believes that and I guess in some ways I do. For example, sometimes when you see a new born baby and you think it already looks so wise, they must have been here before.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?

I do like to write mainly for myself and I’ve written a bit of everything. At the moment I have been working on a fantasy type novel of a game that I used to play years ago. In the past though I have written a lot of “episode ideas” for tv shows. There was a online role-playing game I used to play years ago. For a while there I used to write episode ideas based on the characters my friends and I were playing. It was very X-Men Evolution type theme. Except instead of mutants, we had teenage elves and sorceress and half animal, half human type characters.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Story – Someone made a really good point about Facebook and I had never thought about it before. I find it easy to stay off of Facebook these days mainly because of the negativity on there. The “so called” and self appointed ‘silent majority’. You know the types, horrible, racist bigoted people. Who for some reason think that first of all, they’ve been silent and that they are the majority. There was a post on Facebook and of course the “silent majority” were being very vocal, as they usually are.

Someone pointed out, even though these horrible people were being horrible and VERY vocal. This one lady pointed that if you actually look at where the “Like” button is. There was something like 500 hearts, 300 likes and only 25 angry faces. Which means that MOST people reading the article could see the positive, could see the kindness, could see the good in what was happening. The so called “SILENT majority” were NOT a majority at all, and in most cases never are. They are just very loud, so to themselves they think they are the majority, but in actual fact, are not.

That really did make me think and made me happy. When I went back and had a look at a lot of things on Facebook, the majority of people ARE positive, they are just not very loud about it. Probably because they are happy in their lives and don’t really feel a need to make something it isn’t. Unless (hopefully) it is really important…Even if it’s just important too them.

If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?

Glasses! I can’t imagine having to try and put something in my eye >.< lol

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?

Before I met my partners cat, I was more of a dog person. I didn’t hate cats or anything, I just got along better with dogs. When I met my partners cat though, it was like love at first sight =D lol He was just so sweet and affectionate, and sometimes when my partner hugs his cat, they end up fighting, lol…Nothing nasty, they just like to stir each other up and I swear that his cat looks at me like “Why aren’t you helping me out here?lol

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?

My partner and I have actually talked about this before. We would both love to have a room where we can could display things. We both have a few things, that are just in a cupboards that need to be just shown. Hopefully to have everything working well. An amazing bathroom, where you can look out at a nice view, but people couldn’t look in!

There is a reason that I wrote my Post this week about Twitch. I was having a really rough day last Friday and I haven’t been that bad in a really long time. I was very lucky though and I went and watched the Twitch streamer Bajo Luckily that day that he was doing a really amazing stream and he did a charity stream that raised $2000.00 in a hour! Listening to people’e story was hard, but neither could I stop listening. It was amazing. Please check him out!

Here we meet again Struggle Town

I have been struggling this week to think of anything to Blog about, except for some set posts. Mentally, I’m done…I have not been looking forward to this week, bad shifts, having to sign up too things because, even though I have TWO jobs…I am pretty much making NO money.

So let’s chats then…

What do we do when we hit struggle town, what do we do to get ourselves back into the groove again? I don’t know if it’s because this past week and this future week have been kind of stressful. Not anything horrible, things I have almost been expecting but not wanted to happen…But they have. I am finally at the point where I am “This is It”…I have to start all those dreams now, no one else is going to help me. I have two jobs and yet very little money coming in, so now I have to start studying a business admin course online, just to make others happy.

But I have to have the money to start those dreams, and then were do you start? Which dream do you start with, do I try and finish off a book that I’ve been writing for 5 years, do I start a craft online business?

I want to start living my life, I need it to start…I feel very stood still…

I need some inspiration!

I worked with someone Famous!

Kind of…Sort of…In a Kevin Bacon six degrees of separation type thing..

Hindsight by Melanie Casey (Goodreads)

I am loving the place where I am currently working and I’m sad at the time time because it’s only for a month and I’m actually trying to move away for the area I am currently working at. However, one of my duties is, for the moment, Library duties and this book happened to pass across the check in table. One of the Librarians suggested that I take a look at it as it was writing by someone who in the past had done our creative writing course. Which I thought was very exciting, and kind of sad, because we don’t have the course anymore.

Needless to say that it has completely inspired me and I have even found her on Goodreads, with really good reviews. Between reading this and writing all weekend, I’m surprised that I’ve even had time to sit down and write any Blog post whatsoever! It truly did inspire me.

What about yourselves? Have you ever been connected to anyone famous, has it inspired you?

Insipiration

11. Someone who inspires me

I have decided to steer away from family and friends for this challenge this week and think of someone else who inspires me and makes me happy and safe, who isn’t apart of my “inner circle”. I feel like sometimes we don’t even think of the “random” people that are apart of our daily lives, that touch our lives every dayish.

So I wanted to give a major shout out to my hypnotherapist. I really love going to visit him and having our sessions and I always feel more accomplished and really do feel better after I’ve seen him. All the tasks he gives me to do, always make me feel better too.

What I really like…I guess love…About our sessions, I really feel listened too and that helps me feel better so much. Also though we actually have a lot in common, we both meditate, we both do Reiki. Unlike me though, he really does incorporate it into his every day life. Rather than when he needs it to help me. That’s what I want to achieve, I want to incorporate my beliefs into my every day life, not just when I “need” it…If that makes sense.

I know that this is his job and that’s what his…I’m…paying for him to do. I genuinely feel though he is doing this work because he wants to make myself and others feel better and get through their issues. Too help make our lives a little better and and easier to get through the day just that bit better. Just that though, he is there to help me and helps to make me feel better…It honestly feels like someone is finally on my side.

How a Book is Made Tag

(This tag was created by WritingMime over on YouTube. I am totally stealing this from The Orangutan Librarian Please check them out!)

1. Should you participate in National Novel Writing Month to create a book?

nanowrimo

I have never participated in NaNo myself, but I have known a lot of others who have. I think that it could definitely help to inspire, but I don’t think people should pressure themselves to try and create the next “Harry Potter”. It should be a good start though!

2. Self-publishing or traditional publishing?

I would always want to try traditional publishing first, but I can totally see why someone would want to self-publish. When I think of someone like JK Rowling and how many times she got rejected. I could see why someone might turn to self-publishing.

3. Write one idea at a time or write all the ideas at once?

I have this “habit” where I’m trying to focus on something, but then I might see something out of the corner of my eye and get distracted. What I try to do now though is send a text to myself, or write a note somewhere and come back to it later…If I remember! If I want to focus on different parts of a story I’m writing, for example, having two ideas at once for two different chapters. I will try my best to write bits and parts at the same time for each section. Even if it’s just a sentence here or there, something that when I came back to it later, I’ll remember what I was writing.

4. What genre is the easiest to write?

Well I haven’t tried writing for ALL genres, but I would suspect it’d be the genre that you enjoy writing the most. For me, it’s Fantasy. I can’t draw what I see in my head, so I write instead. I love to read crime, but I would be really bad at writing for it. I’m secure enough to admit that I am not nearly clever to write in some twist at the end.

5. Where do you need to write to get the work done?

I could write pretty much anywhere. It’s more about my mind space.

6. Where do you find your inspiration?

Like the Orangutan Librarian I can find my inspiration everywhere! Bad, Sad, Mad, Happy, Wonderful, Bright. I do have a set playlist on YouTube though, it usually helps me to stay focus on my writing. All nice and inspirational music. Mainly Celtic.

7. What age do you start writing?

You can start at any age, once you’ve started to learn to write of course.

8. What’s easiest to write? Short stories, stand-alones, series, etc.

Personally I find it easier to write novels. I have tried writing short stories but my imagination takes over and I end up writing longer stories and longer descriptions and the story just tends to keep growing.

9. Do you mill your books or take years to write a book?

I am still writing all my books, none of them are done. I am actually thinking of continuing on with a “tv script” that I started years ago when I started role playing online…via AOL…So long ago!

10. How fast can you type?

Very! When I think about it I get a really bad accuracy score, when I just do it I get a good score, lol.

11. Do you write in the dark or in the light?

I write whenever I can, or when inspiration hits and I have access to write.

12. Hand-written or typed?

I am usually a typer, sometimes though I write down things and then type them up later, but usually I’m a typer.

13. Alone or with someone else?

I am assuming about this is in reference to writing books etc. I like to write alone, I find I spend most of the time to trying to negotiate what should or shouldn’t be written in. It’s too constrictive.

14. Any typing hacks?

Nope

15. Are you already published?

No, hehe…As I’ve written above (see Question 9) I haven’t even finished writing a book yet. I would love to be though…If could finish it off!

16. When did you first consider being an author?

I have been writing for years. I can’t even remember what really made me consider it. I grew up around Libraries, so I guess it kind of just started there? I never really went “this is it”…If that makes sense? The writing has just kind of happened.

17. How many books do you have in draft form?

All of them I guess? I have one major one going and the rest are in total beginning stages. Idea forms.

18. Do you outline or no?

what-do-you-take-me-for

19. What’s your favourite note-keeping strategy?

I actually text myself a lot, I find it handy when I am out and about. When I’m at home I do it even then. I also have Word documents with notes, explaining character relationships to each other, mainly so I don’t get myself confused.

20. What do you think about writing in different genres?

I have no problem with it, I just don’t think that I would very good at writing in different genres. I mainly, actually pretty much all of my writing is in Fantasy.

I tag:

Anyone else who wishes to do this!

I love…

I have been so inspired by so many different posts this week, it’s been fantastic. They have been so positive and amazing and influential, so I am sharing a couple that I’ve seen…But there have been so many amazing posts this week, must be something in the air. I feel like it’s so weird out there at the moment, so weird and pretty negative. So here are some good things that I’ve read over the past week.

Listening to your own inner voice: The Classic Feminine Woman

What I Love: Victoria Jaynes Books

Embrace Your Individuality: Curious Queendom

Usually on a Thursday evening I will share “Share Your World” but Cee’s Photography is taking a well deserve holiday this week. So I guess that I’m sharing my world of what I’ve been reading this week.

Ch-ch-changes

So I have been going through a lot of personal stuff at the moment, the big thing is I don’t know if I am going to have a job in the next couple of weeks. Which as you can imagine is just incredibly stressful. It’s been making me really take a hard look at a few things. I’m not actually even supposed to know about this situation. See, I work as a casual so our contract is usually renewed every three-four months depending on the time of year and it’s been like this for the last couple of years. This time they have apparently decided not to renew any contracts. My manager has apparently been so shocked by this and she is trying to fight for us, so I have no idea what’s going on.

The thing that’s irritated me the most about this situation is no one has actually told us and considering the contract we’re on finishes in the next couple of week, not months, I am looking strongly for another job. One that is a lot more stable.

As you can imagine that has taken an impact on my whole life. It’s really made me think though I would love to do some kind of “at home” business, except then the questions happen “What do I actually decide to do”. I have so many people around me who are just SO creative and they are doing amazing things with their creations. I’m all over here and like … I don’t know what I do well … I love to dress up and I would love to Cosplay stuff … It’s kind of intimidating for me though, my brother is this amazing seamstress and makes incredible clothes.

Sorry all … I think that this is definitely more of a “rambling” type blog today. Do any of you, my amazing readers, have your own business that you run from home? What inspired you to start? What is your inspiration? I would really love to read what you have to offer.

Blog Block

I am having a serious “Blog Block” today, I’ve been trying to look at all the new articles and things around social media sites to get inspired … and nothing. I put it down to a very long work week (we’re currently at one of our busy periods of the year).

So even as I am writing this I am thinking of conversation I had yesterday and I say that “I forgive myself”. I’ve made a promise to myself that I am going to start relaxing and worrying less, after I meet with a naturopath and they told that I had more stress than a Wall Street Executive.

Any-ways, the conversation that I was having with my new friend and one of things we know do is before bed is we say “I forgive myself”. It’s amazing how amazingly well it helps me fall asleep now. I would definitely recommend everybody try it for three nights in a row (everything seems to happen in threes) and let me know the results!

(p.s. the reason for my Buddhism tag is because, according to my friend, it was Buddhism idea).
