You’d better Stop

I want you to stop…Right now

Stop what you’re doing and read this!

YOU ARE KIND, INTELLIGENT, GOOD-HEARTED AND BEAUTIFUL…Despite your size

Your size doesn’t make you the person you are

I want to see the body shamers stop right now…I don’t care if you’ve been big and you don’t like smaller people or you’re smaller and you make fun of bigger people…Or people make fun of you because of your size…No matter who you are, if you shame someone for their size. It’s a reflection on you, not them. It shows your insecurities.

I just really wish that people would stop shaming each other, over things that are just not that important. If you’re healthy, that’s the main thing. Just remember, at the end of the day it’s your health that’s either going to keep you happy and allow you to enjoy life, not what someone else thinks of you.

Beautiful voice.

Jenny from the Block…I love you!

Jennifer Lopez…I just love her!

So everyone has different female idols and I would have to say that Jennifer Lopez is one of my most favourite. Normally when I tell people the first reaction is normally “You know she is a complete diva” and my response is “Well…Yeah…She’s not considered a ‘triple threat’ because she’s sitting like a wall flower”.

However the reason I bring this all up is because I’ve been reading Australian ‘Cosmo’ from November 2013 and Jennifer is their cover girl.

Reading through I was nodding my head and agreeing with her, saying things like it wasn’t till she was older (in fact after she had her children) that she started to feel comfortable. The quote/section that really stood out to me was (after telling her new partner she has things about being ignore since she was a middle child) “It’s funny. Sometimes when we don’t get it (attention), we try to get it in a negative way, you know?”
“Chasing guys who ignore us,” I say, lounging on my bed “So many of us do that in our twenties”
“…And then it becomes a habit, and you’re like, ‘Why am I still doing this”.

When I read this I had one of those Oprah ‘ah ha!” moments. This is EXACTLY where I am up to in my ‘journey’. Then she went on to say “I was always so insecure” she says. “Then I grew, little by little, and realised, wait a minute, this is not a fluke, I am not a mistake”

People wonder why I love her so much! …She just happens to be an inspiration for me.
