I or i?

A colleague of mine and I were sitting around during a quiet time and just talking about how we don’t actually know what the I or i, stand for in the products. We then went and looked up what each i or I stands for.

iPhone – I = Internet.

Icentral – I = Information (TAFE)

IT – I = Information (Technology)

iOS – I = iPhone (Operating System)

iPod – I = Internet (Pod)

iPad – I = (Internet Pad)

Wi-Fi – I = Nothing…It is not a word or an acronym. It stands by itself.
