Questions:

What’s your go-to for unwinding after a stressful event or day?   Can be someone or something – music, pets, family or whatever you choose.

I love hugging my pets, my furbabies, or at least playing with them. I also need to watch something funny, sometimes there are the old faithfuls I go back and sometimes I’ll look for a new one.

The plane you’re flying in is going to crash, no survivors.  If you had one song you could listen to before it happens, what would it be?  (credit toNewEpicAuthor for this one).  Please share the link to the song if you can.

I have really been thinking about this one, because there are so many songs that I just love. The one that keeps popping into my mind though every time, even though maybe not always first. So I’m going to go with that one.

What is one thing you’re really, really good at and not ashamed to admit it?  I worded that deliberately because aren’t we taught to be humble and not pushy about our achievements?  Celebrate your ability!

I am really good at listening. Which I think especially at the moment is so important. I think we’ve stopped forgetting how to listen.  Everyone’s determined to be right, instead of listening. I think it’s a big problem at the moment.

Would you rather lose all of your money and valuables or all of the pictures you have ever taken?

Wooo, i was going to say the money to be honest, because you can work at getting that back, but it seems to involve valuables too though?  Pictures, you can’t always get them back, especially older photos. Once they’re gone (like great grandparents) they are gone forever.

And lastly

What were you grateful for or something that made you smile during the past month?

That my practical videos for my online classes FINALLY LOADED!!!lol

We Could Help Each Other — Sara in LaLaLand

It is crazy how quickly you can click with some people. This is precisely what happened between myself and a fellow blogger here on WordPress. I recently met Southern Musician and we chatted and got to know each other a little over a couple of days and Southern came up with a wonderful idea of starting a […]

R U OKAY Day (Australia)

*trigger warnings*

RUOkay? – Suicide Preventation

This is an interesting cause, I know people who really love it and I know people who really have hated it. Now RU Okay is supposed to be about reaching out and asking people…Are you okay? It’s supposed to be about encouraging people to reach out, if they feel something is wrong with themselves or with someone else. Of course the R U Okay team encourage people to do this every day, not just on the one day a year. They also encourage people to speak face to face, not just on social media.

However, some people detest the day, as they are going through something at the time, so of course “They are not okay”.

It’s a tricky business really.

Now, I want to point out that this mainly an Australian idea, but I don’t see why everyone else can’t use it either.

The “Cure”

One thing that I have noticed in my Blog posts about having Anxiety. I have really only talked about having it and what I go through when I have it.

Then when it occurred to me, I should start writing about I find helps myself. I started to think about it when I pointed it out to someone you are never really “cured” from having anxiety. You just learn over time to listen to yourself, your body and learn how to not live with it per-say, but better cope. So you don’t overwhelm yourself.

What I’d like to do if I’m feeling a bit more anxious, there’s a couple of things:

  1. I have two word games, one an anagram games and the other is a sort of crossword.
  2. I always makes sure that I have my earphones with me. If I get the right sound to help, the difference that couple of minutes can make!
  3. Going for a walk, the fresh air…I love that fresh air.

What is with that?

This past July I made a few posts asking others to donate towards the Australian Cause “Dry July”. My target amount just $500.00…I thought that this was going to be such an easy target to meet.

I was very wrong…

I had just assumed that the dollars I had given to other people would be reciprocated. Who doesn’t want to cure help towards getting rid of Cancer and helping make life easier for those who suffer from it.

I was very wrong…

Yet, the cheek of it is…They keep asking me to donate to their things still?

Why do people do that? It’s like those people who never turn up to anybody elses’s things, but then complain when others wont help them out? Except, of course, in cases of sicknesses. I had a friend who used to do that and she didn’t suffer from anxiety or anything, just never could be bothered. Then complained when people wouldn’t show up to her things? Like, of course they’re not. (She’s not even a nice person to begin with).

Clicks 2 – Self Business!

As you can see from my previous post (May Goals). I have decided that I am going to start at least researching about how I might be able to do this and start creating a small home business. I decided after initially being inspired by putting “Magic Monday” , which is one of my Blog categories) onto a jar for myself. Why not pursue this further? Using my own quotes and seeing if I can draw any kind of designs to come up with. Maybe place these on cushions and see what happens from there?

I have been able to find one good site so far:

https://candlemaking.com.au/

The only problem with this site, is that you can’t inscribe anything on the jars. However, I am sure I can find something that would allow me to do so. I have only just really started, so I have literally just been Googling everything at the moment. I would like some advice or some inspiration. Have any of you done this, or are currently doing something like this at the moment?

Ironically as well, this was my Horoscope for the week (Taurus)

So as you have probably heard by now, this is one of the biggest weeks of –arguably – your life! No kidding. This week sees the planet of revolution and rebellion, Uranus, bursting into your sign like a massive bolt of electricity that leaves every hair on your body standing on end.

So what do you have to look forward to? Well, change, awakenings and liberation, to name three things. It might be a bumpy ride but the shackles are falling away.

Let’s get to it!

I was going to originally title this post “There is no a cure for anxiety!”

Then I thought though, that sounds like a really harsh topic heading to get this post started on and I do not want to upset people.

I was talking on Facebook…discussing, if you will, about how you can “cure” anxiety with good food, lots of exercising…and I do hate it to say it…There is no cure for anxiety…If there was no one would suffer from it anymore. If there was, trust me, it would be the most popular item on the market and would probably sell out ALL the time.

Saying that though, there are ways to help and make life easier…Too “control” it to a certain extent.

Everybody is different and can learn to control it in different ways for yourself. Myself personally:

  • I do not drink coffee anymore, unless I am 100% certain that I am not headed anywhere. Of course though life is uncertain, especially lately!
  • If I’m having trouble sleeping I use my Atmosphere anxiety app.
  • Meditation is so helpful! Make a “space” for yourself. Even if you have to go out to do it. At least once a week, get a space for yourself.
  • I am aware there are days where I feel vulnerable, so I wont go on places like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
  • Then there are other days where I feel like I could fight back.
  • Computer games, for myself, are a GREAT distraction! I have a couple of games that I can lost in for hours and forget for a while. Then because I’m not constantly thinking about whatever is causing myself anxiety. It calms me down. Especially when I have trouble jumping in Guild Wars 2,lol

Some areas of my life have gotten a LOT better.

So I did it…

I hope that not too many people in my life know about this Blog…and if they do…Oh well, lol

I finally went to see a psychotherapist and I am really glad that I went to see somebody.

It was fantastic!

See, I’m one of those people that don’t really like to burden people with my problems…I’ve told people about my anxiety mainly so they understand why I’ve stopped turning up to things and how I just don’t want to be treated anymore.

The main issues that I’ve been having is since I’ve started taking my anxiety medication I’ve become more “susceptible” to things…If I read it or hear about it I’m convinced I’m going to get it…Which isn’t great when all these people around myself and celebrities that I adore, have either been having or dying from heart attacks…It’s so tiring being on high alert ALL the time when the pills make you so sleepy.

(This Chihuahua looks like my doggie)

It’s been fantastic to talk to someone/anyone about what I’ve been going through, what I’ve been feeling, how the anxiety started…It’s been great! The first time I went we just kept talking that I didn’t even notice the time go by. I was so sad when it ended. She did say that sometimes after the first session people get really upset because they’ve let out so much…But I felt great! I even went into the city and did shopping for 3 hours all by myself! I haven’t done that since I first got came down with the anxiety blues. I can’t actually wait to go back!
