Thursday Theories – Lifestyle

That’s it! Change of lifestyle impending.

I hit my head, and then three nights later I threw up a few times. Do I think the two things are related? No, does my hypochondria … absolutely freaking! Anyway, it’s given me a big wake up call. Especially when I had to ring in sick for work and I started to cry. Because, I really enjoy where I work and I really adore the people I work.

I just have to accept the fact that I cannot eat the same way I did, I cant wait till 8:30pm and stuff my face with bad food.

I have to get more physically active. I have to just generally get out more. Before COVID I used to have no problem with going out, just window shopping and then have some lunch. Talk a walk to the Library and get a couple of books, now I either I don’t have the time or I don’t feel like it.

Where does one even start, I feel like sometimes, “fake it until you make it”. I just don’t feel like this that time, I am one of those, I need to do it all. Give it all! My mum said though, don’t go the complete opposite way. Don’t go from stuffing my face, to you know, eating like once a day.

So! When one changes lifestyle, you have to look at everything:

Eating habits,

Sleeping habits,

Drinking habits,

Mental and physical habits:

The weirdness

My mum and I were just talking about how we hosted a Halloween Party two years ago. We definitely didn’t last year (haha) so it was the year before.

We were making fun of ourselves, because we had a wall of pictures of people who were real scary people and not as scary, so like Casper the Friendly. We run a test to see if they knew who was who. We thought that they were really easy to get. Everyone got the cartoon/animated type characters. But apart from Ted Bundy, they didn’t get the rest.

My mum and I had a “serious” talk with ourselves. Are we too addicted to crime, serial killers?

… Nah, it’s everyone else.

Do you have any weird interests or hobbies?

Night Night, Sleep Tight

Do you have a bedtime routine, or do you just fall into bed? Lately I had been noticing, due to having no work, I was developing extremely bad bed time habits. I couldn’t help it though! For some reason, free to air tv here has started to have these really amazing crime shows in the middle of the night.

Ever since Covid19 hit, I feel like we’ve all changed in some way. Whether it is bad time habits or how we see the world. I am more aware of my surroundings. But the bed time thing always pretty much stayed the same, but even that’s changed. Because it’s not, is it? If our casuals contracts had been renewed, I would have never been up that late to watch those programs.

So, have you changed your bed time habits? No need to give specifics, but just curious. Now I have potential part-time work, it’s made me want to get back into a good bed time habit, even if I don’t get the job.

How do you blog?

I started to think recently about how I blog. I usually write two posts a day, most of them are scheduled. The first is usually early in the morning (5am) and the other is usually in the evening (5-6pm) my time. It made me wonder if people thought I was being rude? I can’t honestly remember the last time I remember being up at 5am. Between 5-6pm, if I’m at work, I’m leaving travelling. That’s why a lot of my posts are scheduled.

I just had this thought that maybe I was appearing to be rude? Mainly because, as I mentioned. I schedule a lot of my posts. It just got me wondering if people were thinking “Well if she’s got time to post, she’s got time to reply to my comment”? Then it had me wondering if others do the same as myself, or do you all write and publish your posts there and then? The other thing I do, is rarely do I post on the weekend. It has to be of something that is of particular interest to me. Because I have a lot of random thoughts about situations, I could write every single day of every thought that enters my head. So I give you all a break ~.^

I also write a lot of my scheduled posts on the weekend.

QUESTIONS:

What’s the first thing you notice about a person?

If they smile or not, I’m not one of those “You’re prettier when you smile” people. It’s more “What makes this person smile?”. I mean, guaranteed it’s also a lot do with why I’m seeing this person for the first time.

What three habits do you feel would improve someone’s life?

These are coming from my own personal experience.

  • Regular showering. Showers just make me feel good, no matter how bad I feel. When I have a shower, I feel like it washes away all the bad “joo joo”.
  • Regularly getting out of the house, even if it’s just to sit in the garden for a while. I think whether it’s cold or warm, the little sprite of air can just make you feel a lot better.
  • Setting yourself a budget, even if you have a lot of money. I find setting budget for things, soothes me,lol

What takes up too much of your time?   Would you stop that if you could?

Honestly, worrying. It stops me from doing a lot of things. I’ve been sick recently, thought I was getting better and then I ate bad food so I got sick again. Now I’m too worried to do anything again. Worrying wastes time and I am extremely aware of it, yet I can’t stop myself. I would stop it in a heartbeat, I believe I’m getting better. I would usually spend a whole day worry and stopping doing other things. However, now I physically make myself do things and I always better after, so I have no idea why I let worrying stop me so much! It’s a frustrating cycle.

Cookies (biscuits to those elsewhere), pastries, pie or cake?   If not, what does your sweet tooth crave?

I love them all, I couldn’t choose. I have to be in the mood for them as well, some days I’ll feel like cake, others days it’ll be biscuit, etc. During Summer I hate having chocolate biscuits, to melty!

Gratitude?  Are You Happy?  If so, why?  If not, why not?

I am kind of both at the moment, I think that’s possible? I was doing so well this week. Going back to the toilet had been normal until today honestly and it got me down. I had a good cry, I am over being sick! I finally get off my anxiety tablets, not able to do as much, for this too happen. I feel so down right now.

100% Agree

Okay, it’s time for some real talk! If you read as much as I do, you are bound to find annoying or unrealistic patterns in books that are enough to make your eyes roll. Surprisingly, I tend to find these things in YA books more than in any of the other genres. And YA is…

Naps

I thought that this week I would write about Napping, is it good, is it bad, are there any benefits whatsoever? I felt like we needed, well I, needed to look further into this because lately I have been napping badly. By that I mean, every time I’ve taken a nap recently, I’ve felt worse when I’ve woken up.

Napping – Sleep Health Foundation

This is what I get from when I’ve been napping lately:

  • Usually a headache
  • Back ache
  • Sometimes I feel more tired and worse than when I want to sleep.

7 Random Things

I decided that I was going to try and focus on good things this week, so I thought that I’d start the week with focusing on 7 random things that I enjoy or make me happy. If you feel like sharing random things with us or what to do this yourself, please feel free to do as well, or if you share my happiness for the randomness, please share!

  1. Since I am hungry as I write this, it’d be a good idea to share with you a food that I love to combine. During Winter I love to combine mac and cheese with instant noodles (those noodles that take about 5 minutes to cook). It’s soooo good, probably extremely unhealthy though.
  2. So something I have learnt with social media, apart from not reading the comments. Check the “likes” instead…You will usually find that the positive out-ways the negative. So now I check those first =D There’s a lot of “love” emoticon out there!
  3. I LOVE fan made YouTube videos, especially when they make videos of couples that I really like together, or had never thought about before!
  4. I really enjoy having Fridays off, it’s an odd thing. I can work on a Saturday or Sunday and not “enjoy it” per-say but I’d rather have the Friday off. I just seem to get so much done, Whereas on the weekend I tend to have a habit, if I don’t have anything to do, I sit all day pretty much.
  5. I don’t actually like Family Guy. Other than Brian and Stewie, I could watch a show with just them in it.
  6. When I was younger I had three pet rats, Grezelda, Annie and Lucy. Annie and Lucy were sisters and we originally only got Lucy, but then she “disappeared” after a week. After about another week we went back, got her sister Annie, and I kid you not only about an hour after we got home, we found Lucy -.- With her rat food all stored in a pile, she must have been going back and forth during the night and getting in and out of the cage.
  7. I am a procrastinator, but something that I am even worse at is this. If there’s something I actually want to do, but other people keep bugging me to do it, I instantly go off of it. By bugging I mean, just ALWAYS.

Share Your World…July 3, 2017

For your main meal do you prefer sweet and sour, hot and spicy, spicy and sweet, bitter, salty, bland or other?

I guess that I’d have to go with sweet and sour…One of my favourite dishes is sweet and sour pork =D I can’t handle spicy at all, I’m not very good with it. If something is too sweet or salty, I instantly feel unhealthy and so I’ll stop eating it. If it’s bland, it kind of feels like “What’s the point?”lol

Where do you hide junk when people come over?

Do I dare answer? Then everyone will know what I do! =Dlol … Sometimes and if I can, I hide things under my bed, mainly shoes though. I like to swap my shoes from Winter to Summer, so a lot of my shoes are all under my bed. The other place is in one of my cupboards, but it’s all right in the corner of the cupboard…A dark corner.

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?

I NEED to start meditating every day. I feel so much better after it and it helps a lot with my anxiety as well. I’m starting to learn a bit that I can only rely on myself.

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?

I would want to do the acrobatics and the trapeze and all that stuff, but I would honestly probably be the clown, lol.
