Oh, for something different, but just as “funny”.

Harry and Meghan becomes Netflix’s biggest documentary debut yet

The “funny” part was, apart from a couple of people I know who like them. I would be willing to bet that most of the people who watched it enough to make it the biggest documentary debut ever on Netflix. Say things like “I don’t care” “they’re trash” “I don’t want to talk about them”. Oh, this is going to piss them off.

The first half of Harry & Meghan has been @Netflix's biggest documentary debut of all time. A rep says it debuted with 81.55M hours viewed by over 28 million households (in four days), the highest of any doc in a premiere week. It's currently the #2 English TV series globally.

Common sense, coming back?

I know this might be a little presumptuous of me. But is common sense coming back, even if little bits and drabs?

Two good things happen the other, the other was too late to write about by the time it happened, the post had already gone out. The second thing that ended my day well the other day was. A group sued our, Australia’s, Federal Government and all the State Government, except for South Australia, interesting enough.

The group was suing because they were saying that the COVID vaccines, the masks and the lockdowns were “unconstitutional”. Well, they lost, and now they have to cover the Governments, Federal and State legal fees.

It just seems like a little bit is coming back, well at least in Australia. America it seems what state it is and the UK, well hopefully, the Tories will be gone soon. When you take yourself off of “social” media, the world actually seems a little bit sane. Take yourself away from the celebrity tabloid. Yesterday, as an example, it was supposed to be the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. All the entertainment “media” were talking about Meghan. It’s becoming an obsession for them, like Princess Di. I listened to the radio instead. As much as I don’t really like “celebrating” death. It was actually quiet nice.

I don’t remember where I was when she died, which was the question they asked on the radio. Do you remember?

Some nice things…

My topics this week, have been pretty intense this week and the annoying thing is, I am feeling really well. Apart from the anxiety attack I had last Thursday at work, I’ve actually been surprisingly well.

Let’s bring it down a notch, and talk about some positive things for this week:

• As I mentioned earlier in the week, despite the transphobia throughout the UK. Despite Brexit, despite the BBC and the Tories. At least 4 people elected were trans people, and the people who were overtly transphobic lost their seats.
• I can’t tell a lie, I have no problem with the public showing up to the SC’ houses. After the SC’s want to take THE PEOPLE’s privacy away. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
• I know now how to handle my anxiety at work, if it should happen. Got my bags I take to work, all prepared!
• Although it is kind of sad, it’s nice to see that Rowling is running out of options. She can’t keep attacking trans people the way she wants.
• My partner helped me make dinner, lol
• The new Dr for Doctor Who has been announced =D
• I purchased all these with my birthday money =D

What do you do?

You know what “grinds my gears”? When people allow bigotry on their page, and like with COVID. Say people should be allowed to have Freedoms to express their opinions, without me “insulting them”. So basically allow people in any circumstance, to spread misinformation about people or a group of people, but I’m not allowed to rightly call them out on it?

The last couple of years, I have been constantly shocked with people that I once respected, just come out with these horrible decisions and words. Recently I liked a comment about (roughly) how COVID has really brought out how important quality relationships are. It’s so true!

Be an ally or don’t. The choice is YOURS.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD TODAY! I am SO TIRED OF SEEING BIGOTS GET AWAY WITH THEIR SHIT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN…If you have the power to stop that shit…STOP IT!

Kindness

Just be kind while you’re ALIVE people…Not so hard is it? Then no one has to argue because you served (when one had too) for a couple of years, but spent the rest of your life being a horrible person.

Too me and my brain, it’s not that hard, lol.

I had one grandfather serve and kill Nazis. He also spent the rest of his life, torturing his own children and his wife in different ways. My great grandfather also served, and I can’t stop bragging what a great man he was. All I can say about that one GF, he served in the War. Which, is a good thing, but so did everyone else’s grand fathers, and they managed to still be kind people (well not all of them).

Coming back to that video of the police surrounding the that statue of Churchill. Churchill didn’t actually win the War, the Americans did, with that horrible bomb. There have also been rumours that Churchill knew the planes were coming to Pearl Harbor, didn’t warn anyone, because he knew that that would force America to join.

It’s simple, be a kind person while you’re alive, all the time, and no problems. Remember when Chadwick Boseman died? Didn’t serve in the Army, yet, he was revered because he was KIND person, ALL the time.

“Good” Friday

So why is Good Friday, called Good Friday, when on Good Friday, Jesus is flogged, has to carry a heavy cross, then get his hands and feet nailed into that same cross. Doesn’t sound like it was a good day for Jesus! Some sources suggest that the day is “good” in that it is holy, or that the phrase is a corruption of “God’s Friday”.

Either way, it’s not really appropriate to say “Happy Easter” or “Happy Good Friday”. It’s not really a day that is “Happy”. Easter Sunday is a good day to say “Happy Easter” as that is the day of rebirth and joy. Not Friday though, never Friday. Do you have any traditions on “Good” Friday? The closest I can think of with my family, are eating a whole lot of these!

Good Witch or Bad Witch?

Promise this is the last time I’ll bring her up for the year.

I’m going to be honest, whenever I hear anyone call JKRowling either magical or influential, this is what pops into my mind. After all, who said being magical or influential is always a good thing?

I have decided, because I am a grown up, as disappointing as it maybe. I am actually going to research celebrities and judge their “superhero” like qualities on that. Rather then the roles they played.

Christ Pratt has been the most disappointing actor all year.

Chris Pratt was named the worst Chris, because he simply IS, the worst Chris out of the Chris’s that were named.

• He gave up his senior cat when it became to difficult to clean up after it. Now he and Anna were having a new baby. They couldn’t hire a cleaner? Also, yes, you still clean up after family, like you would have to after a baby.
• Not only did he do that, but then called people calling him out for that “weirdos”. “What do you expect us to clean up after him too?!” YES.
• The fact that during this year, of all years, he’s been mum about who he’d vote for, if he’d vote at all.
• Even IF he was voting for Trump, it wasn’t JUST that, that would make him the worst Chris. Chris is just ONE person, he gets ONE vote, just like everyone else. Can you imagine a single character of his, being silent?
• Also the fact, except for Don Cheadle. Not a single ONE of his co-stars felt the *need* to defend him were completely and utterly SILENT when Brie Larson received actual death and rape threats.

Not sorry, but Chris Pratt is just pathetic. When you don’t know what someone stands for, it more than likely means, they stand for nothing. The only thing we know what Chris Pratt stands for is for giving up on family, when it gets too tough. That’s not something to defend.

Cannot stress this enough!

Just because a person writes children’s books, (or children’s books that adults secretly read) does not make them an automatically a good person. You all are aware of this, right? Although I am going to mention Rolf Harris, I am directing it at another child’s author. A author who transphobes are trying to use that as justification, as why she can’t possibly be a bad person.

I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot this year…It doesn’t matter if you’re a sci-fi writer, a romance writer, a crime writer, a children’s writer, a non-fiction writer…The writing, the book, does not make a person good or bad. A person is just bad or good.

Rowling, fantastic, that she got both children and adults (even though I always have…Yes, I’m gloating,lol) to read again…Stiiiiiiiiiill a bigot,lol. Just like Rolf Harris got people, children, into reading and being creative…Stiiiiiiiiill a pedophile.
