For my birthday, a couple of weeks ago, I did a little playing of my game live called Planet Zoo, and it was really fun! Since I had a good time playing and trying to chat to people, I’m going to do it again. I’ve doing it through my Discord channel. Which you can find the link to that below:

The Rage Within

You might have heard about “nerd rage” or “gamer rage”. It usually describes when someone is playing a game (duh) and it can be any kind of game, and sometimes, and some will claim, through no fault of their own. They will inexplicably get angry. This can be for a variety of reasons.

• Cheaters or Cheating…Sometimes this seems to happen to some people all the time.
• Bugs or Glitches within the game.

• Someone who wins may have done so by cheating or by coming in a draw with you, but they go ahead and claim ultimate victory. Shutting you down.
• Connection Interruption/s.
• Some just can’t control their anger.
• Backseat Gamers.
• You just really don’t know to play the game

There are two games that make me “Rage” and it’s really funny when I tell people because they are shocked. Mainly because the two games that I rage are, aren’t really that intense or really action driven…But they can just be so annoying!

The first that one drives me completely crazy is this game called “Settlers“. My partner loves it and I completely loathe it. I usually play it because I feel bad if my partners has had a bad day and I feel like I should. In fact this year my partner made a promise to me that he can only ask me 12 times a year to play it with him. I just hate it because it literally takes hours to play, the game is notorious for crashing, because it’s so old. Somehow even though we all start from the beginning, the computer players seems to be just so advanced. They start attacking, in an advanced age, right from the beginning.

The other is a well more known game “The Sims“.  I know…Odd right? Probably don’t hear about people raging too much with The Sims, but sometimes it just drives me insane. I think it might be such my computer, but it has a lot of bugs and glitches that are really annoying. Sometimes during a party, they will just suddenly freeze and not do anything, and there’s the whole thing of standing in front of the fridge so no one can cook anything. I always have to make sure that I have at least two people from the household at the parties, so one of them call people away from the fridge. So they can make the birthday cake and age up.

MMO and Me

This video is really funny, because I play this game and this video was made 4 years ago. So even though a lot of this video is of high praises. A lot of this guys issues with the game has now been fixed.

The game that this gentleman is talking about is called Guild Wars 2 and it is probably my favourite game at the moment. I am playing it at least for an hour pretty much every single day/night. The format of the game is MMO.

MMO stands for Massively Mutilplayer Online (MMO) Game. Which means that you can play with all sorts of people from different regions. Unlike multiplayer games you don’t necessarily have to have a friends list to play with others. Depending on the popularity, and the capability, of the game, you can easily have hundreds if not thousands of people playing at the same time. They are generally not invisible players either, you can easily see them as they run pass you.

The most well-known MMO is probably World of Warcraft, South Park even made an episode based on the game. However, I have never actually played WoW. The two that I mainly play are Guild Wars 2, as mentioned before, I am on there pretty much every day. I used to also play Warhammer Online, and I actually really loved it! However, they discontinued in 2013. Warhammer online is based from the Warhammer games made by Games Workshop table top game. Which was funny because I was dating someone at the time, which is how I was introduced to the game, but I find the actual table top game really boring.

Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts?  

It depends on the dish! Sometimes having nuts can give the dish a different, crispy feel. I think they are great in things like salads, but not so great in something like soup.

If someone made a movie of your life would it be a drama, a comedy, a romantic-comedy, action film, or science fiction?

Mine would probably be a romantic-comedy. Which is funny because I don’t actually like those, but it makes the most sense for a film for me, I’ve dated some real funny ones, but ended up with the best!

 Who talks real sense to you?

My Grandmother, she such a non nonsense type person, she also really gets me as well. She knows what I’m capable of and what I’m not. When I’m ready to listen and when I’m not.

Do you have a favorite board game?

My favourite board game is probably Monopoly. I usually am not a huge game board player, because I don’t like sitting around for too long. One of the reasons I like Monopoly is because you can have a few people playing, so it’s a bit more interactive.

The “Good Guy” Syndrome

I usually don’t like writing/talking about this subject mainly because it brings up so many issues and problems and no one actually listening, just all fights. This is a major problem that a lot of girls face when they’re single. I’m not sure if being in a relationships means that I just don’t see it anymore, but I know it’s a huge problem.

Deciding to write this blog post come about when someone posted to me in a private message. The article comes from the website Distractify and I really had to share it with you.

The guy is shaming women who reject him and it backfires.

To summarise this article, a person (assuming he’s a guy here) writes an anonymous note about how ‘hard’ it is to be a good guy, opening doors and not getting thanked for it…blah, blah, blah…And the responses that come from this anon note. The reason I wanted to share it with you all was this one classic line from the backfire:

“Did Batman give up on Gotham because people weren’t thanking him for saving the city?”.

I can personally relate to this issue, I was actually shamed on Facebook because I didn’t want to date a “good guy” cause nothing says “I’m a good guy” like shaming someone because they rejected you…three times…*insert sarcasm* Being shamed publicly on Facebook completely made me rethink and made me realised how wrong I was when I saw that if I didn’t do what this guy wanted me to, he’d get his friends and they’d just humiliate me…I wasn’t happy with my choice of not dating this guy at all*end of sarcasm*

I did learn from this situation…Make a game out of it ladies (and guys if this happens to as well). What I used to do was with the last guy I was with  and when he would do the cliche “good guy things”. For example, having to make a comment on any girls picture asking “where the good guys are”…Everyone takes a shot/drink.

Guys you need ask yourself two questions, if you need to try and convince someone else you’re a “good guy” ask yourself why do you have no other qualities to offer? And, if you are SO convinced that the girl you “like” is chasing someone who you think is such a “douche” why do YOU want a girl like that? What does it say about you?

The Sims4

I’m not sure how many of you have been following me for and how far back you’ve read some of my posts but I am a bit of “Gamer” and by that I mean I am very basic. I like games where I can relax and just chill, I’m not really into big shoot ups and a lot of the more intense games I’ll play by myself just because I am so “noobish-like” and I just want to play, ya know? The most intense games I’ve played recently are Witcher and LoL (League of Legends) but even with LoL I only really play against the Bots and my partner,lol.

Any-ways one game that I am obsessed with, in fact, it’s the only game that I can play that I lose all time with is “The Sims”. The Sims is a “life simulation” game and I am currently playing The Sims 4 and I’ve actually been a little disappointed in though because they still wont release a “Sims Pets”. Come on Sims Pets!

Anyhow, I found this funny article on a site called “Buzzfeed” and if you also enjoy playing The Sims I am sure that you will find this extremely relate-able! Number 23 …. SO much want!

“I read comic books”…Why women hate “nerds”

As a general rule now I skim by a lot of the articles and twitter feeds that are on Facebook these days, because people are just dumb…and they get so comfortable and feel so righteous about everything, it is like people genuinely believe “Well that’s my opinion, so I’m right” and if anyone dares disagree or makes a good point, they should just “shut their traps”. No one wants to discuss things any-more, everyone just wants to be ‘right’.

That quote is what started my rant today. I was looking through some of the posts on Facebook about families who cosplay together and this made me smile, until I got to a picture of a mother and her two daughters dressed pretty much like Michelle Pfieffer “Catwoman”. One guy decided to write that he thought it was wrong to dress the little girls like “tramps”. A whole bunch of women (which lets be honest, is rare) started to defend the mother and her choice and saw nothing wrong with the outfits. I wasn’t going to say anything  until I saw this guy write about how these ladies should “shut their traps” and how he “read comics” so we couldn’t argue with him?

This guy is the exact example of why I, and a lot of my female friends, will NOT date nerds and geeks! As a general rule they are the worst, every nerd and geek that I have dated has treated me horribly. A great example of this is when I got out of an abusive relationships within a particularly nerdy group where I got bullied and hit by my ex-partners room-mate. As sometimes happens I had a one night stand with a guy (after we broke up)…Fast forward a week later I wake up to be publicly humiliated on Facebook by a group of guys “slut-shaming” me because how dare I have a one night stand and not date their “good guy” friend instead. God knows I want to get back into a group who think publicly humiliating a girl over something that isn’t any of their business and thinks that this is a really good idea to get their own way.

Funnily enough I don’t have anything to do with those guys any-more. Yet they still insist that they are a bunch of “good guys”. GOOD GUYS do NOT publicly humiliate people over things that are NONE of their business. A good guy would have gone and asked me why I had the one night, since I had never one before and it was completely out of character for me. I’ve seen a bunch of them who are over 30 humiliate a bunch of teenagers on Facebook because the teenagers didn’t agree with them.

Now I know that not all “nerds and geeks” are like this, but it seems to me the one that’s are completely into whatever their genre is in the gaming world, they seem to be the worse. If they have other interests or other friendship groups outside of the gaming world, they seem to be a lot better. A great example of this is the guy who all the other guys wanted me to date, by humiliating me. The actual guy started a hairdressing course and is friends with really lovely girls, he has since apologised and we are great friends. However, the guys who actually humiliated me are all still doing the same things and still acting and reacting in the same way. Literally nothing has changed.

Sims 4!

In case you hadn’t realised I am a bit of a “Geek”…a nice one of course, not all “Oh so you only play PC games, well you suck!”…I love all the games, including the ones that I can’t even play.  There is one game though that I just LOVE to play, I have been obsessed with it ever since the very first version of it came out (2000!) The Sims!

I love creating the characters, creating their lives and creating their relationships. The Sims 4 is even better than the others! The creation of the your character just surpasses all the other Sims games. I know that it is a coincidence, but one of the outfits for the characters I actually have in real life!

At the moment I have just received an achievement for playing the Sims 4 for 5 hours and I’ve only had it the one day…Shocking, I know! I thought that maybe it was time to get off the PC and came back on the PC to write about this game that I just love and is very magical to me. At the moment I have created a character after myself (of course) Orlando Bloom and Thorin Oakenshield.

 Who will she choose!
