I was trying to think what to post about today, with everything that’s going on in the world today, I wanted to post something magical and a little light, not such a heavy post. I kept seeing something though that was really irritating me though. People attacking each other because they weren’t talking or posting about the attacks “the right way”, really getting into each other … So I have placed from my Facebook into this Blog post my frustration about the situation.

“Do what YOU want you to do, if you think we should send love to all countries being attacked, do it, if you want to pray do it, if you want to donate, do it, if you want to actually travel to countries that are being attacked, do it, if you want to change your profile picture DO IT… You do realise attacking each other for how we want to help people get through this is EXACTLY what the terrorists want, right? They are trying to attack Freedom and our ability to do what we want, feel safe doing it and to be individuals and we are all attacking each other for how we want to help? What is WRONG with people? You are not better than somebody else when you are having a go for how they want to help, you are making it worse! People have the ability to pray, send faith and do something to help!”

So saying all that I am posting a video to make it a little lighter now =P

Parodies + Sesame Street = Awesome!

It’s nearly the end of the working week, so I thought that I would share some funny videos that I found on the website Book Riot. These are so great! They are Sesame Street characters taking on parodies of some famous television shows and books.

Creepy Text Theatre

Yes, you read that right! Over the weekend I was introduced to a really funny YouTube playlist channel called “Creepy Text Theatre”! Long story short, it’s a group of people reading out actually genuine text messages. As the title also suggest though these are creepy text messages and speaking from personal experience, these seem like they are pretty genuine!

I would highly suggest though to watch the videos where there are two people reading out the text messages.

Happy Mother’s Day!!! (In Australia)

Happy Mothers Day! I’m not sure if that it’s Mothers Day all over the world, but here in the land Down Under we are celebrating Mothers’ Day today.

So I say Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mothers out there! All the Mums in whatever shape or form that they come in, I hope that you all have a great day! Whether you are a mother by birth, adoptive mothers, step mums, grandma’s, Aunties and all the mums out there (Fur-baby mama’s included). This includes the Mum’s that may not be with us any-more and are watching over us.

Some of us are lucky enough to have a great relationship with our Mothers, when I was younger I had one of those stormy relationships with my Mum. As the years have gone by though I am very happy to say that we have become closer and can honestly say that we are now really good friends as well as being Mother and daughter (I think that she would find the below video really funny too!)

It’s the most magical time of the year…

It seems appropriate to talk about the most famous person at this time of year. If you go to Google at the moment, there is a tracker that you can view and it tells you how long it will be until Santa visits.

Whatever you might call him, I think we can all agree that this time is not only a magical time but is also a completely insane time of year. That last couple of days before the big day.

I actually got into a fight recently though for someone who is a “atheist” calling parents ‘stupid’ for letting their children believe in Santa. I normally try to stay out of “belief” type debates, but that one really mad me angry.

I think ANY type of extremist attitude is not alright. There is nothing stupid for letting children believe in Santa Claus, especially around Christmas. I think it is much more important to bring up children to be decent adults. What someone believes in does not for one second make someone bad or good and definitely does not make someone “stupid”. In every “belief/non-belief” system there is always going to be extremist who thinks that they are better than the rest.

The recent events in Sydney made me really realise this, most religions are based on loved for each other. They are definitely not based on what the extremists promote. I think that there’s nothing wrong with that? What’s wrong with telling people to love each other? If faith gets you through the day, I don’t understand why, quiet frankly, it’s anyone else’s business? It does make me laugh though how, I would call myself an “Agnostic” I have to constantly point out to my religious and atheist friends how similar they really are.

I just hate it when they bring Father Christmas into it…That is not cool!

About a week ago I was trying to cheer myself up (the night before the new Government Australian Budget had been released and it was NOT pleasant). So although it may not be fact, not only are these videos actually quiet hilarious (especially with the adults obviously knowing what is about to happen) These videos are also a great reminder about how animals are in fact animals and parents need to remember to teach their children to respect this.

Llama spits on teasing kid at the zoo glance … The Lion in this bunch of clips is great because the kid probably think it’s just being cute.
