So many people are starting to celebrate this in Australia now. It is kind of nice, but at the same time. I have no idea where it came from! I’m hoping it started in Australia though.
You see, Christmas in Australia is pretty much, smack bang, in the middle of Summer. January is the middle of Summer, so it’s pretty close. Also though our “Christmas” in July, is in the middle of Winter (hence why I’m writing about it on the 14th). Close to the middle of the year, in the middle of Winter.
No one could really do it last year though. Though I suspect some did.
I really do love the idea though, what normally entails with a Christmas in July Party:
“Ugly” Christmas Jumpers
Traditional Christmas meals, but with a twist. As an example, we have a family friend who wraps up the brussels sprouts in bacon! She also makes the best truffles.
People tend to make more Winter/Christmas drinks, like your mulled wines and eggnog. As these Christmas drinks actually become more drinkable, because the weather is cooler, the eggnog doesn’t go off as quickly and make you sick -.-
People do buy each other presents too! However, they are normally silly (sometimes rude) little things. From a pound or 99c type shop.
(I don‘t know why WP is making my text only partly highlighted).
Oh my goodness, why can boys be so gross sometimes! My partner (as an example) sometimes, to try and gross me out, will lift up the cats butts, while I’m patting the cat, as my partner is holding him. This last time though, the cat farted … right into my face! Then a couple of minutes later my partner farted. While he apoligised for his, I had to run to the coffee that we have for guests and sniff that stuff up!
Then I thought “Hey! Let’s write a fun blog post about these situations!”
This post will definitely take your minds off the world!
PLEASE comment below, when was the GROSSIEST you have ever been grossed out!
I want to be running to that toilet, lol
If you are actually sick today, please do not read or feel like you have to comment. Although sometimes, being sick, actually helps me to feel better. But you know yourself, better than I do!
Since more places are starting to open up again, one of the places to head too, are the movies/cinemas
Well, kind of…
A lot of cinemas that are even starting to open, wont open to full seats, and that’s okay. Also not everyone wants to head out straight out away, and that’s okay too.
So what do you do if you’re not ready to head out, or the seats are all already full?
Stay at home!
One of the funniest thing I discovered last year, was how many movies I still have on DVD, but every time a favourite is on the tv, I just have to watch it on the tv, even when I haven’t watched it on DVD for a long time. I just have to watch it when it’s on the tv. True, some of my movies go on for a long time and I like to watch them when I’m by myself.
Movies like, Lord of the Rings, Moulin Rouge…But when it’s on the tv, I can watch it, without getting to involved in it. That’s what I tell myself anyway, and if no one watches it on the tv, it wont come back on!
I have like no creative “juices” in me. I am going to share with you some of the things I like to binge on, when I can’t do … whatever it is I am supposed to do anymore, lol
I would never say no to a “Best of Golden Girls” videos.
Oh, I looooooooooooooooooove it whenever they have a Law and Order: SVU binge marathon, they have a lot of them on Foxtel. My mum and I watched this female comedian talk about is it a bad thing, that a good Friday night, is a glass of wine and a episode of Law and Order: SVU. We laughed, because that’s a good Friday night for us too.
I don’t know if it’s binging or not, but I can spend quiet a few hours playing the Sims 4.
I used to be able to sit and watch all the episodes of “Death in Paradise” until one of the actors came out as “standing” with JKTrolling. Kind of put a damper on things, but I love all the three other male leads. As well as all the other co-stars. I’m worried about what I heard about Ruby though!
I love listening to all late 90’s and 00’s music…Or just Adam Lambert…That man is not real!
Talking about “older” music…This song came on the other day on the radio and I remembered all the words, and all the dance moves! I was “rapping” like a good white girl…J was my favourite, he was a bad boy as I could publicly get, haha
It feels a bit like good times are gone, but what I wanted to start doing every Friday for a Friday or so. Something funny, something about stories. Make it specific to not be so depressing. I’m trying to start my blog on a good path on Monday and Friday now. I want to help to start and end the week with something a bit more lighter. Whether I can it myself, we have yet to see!
So for this Friday, there have actually been funny articles in the News…I know right! You don’t believe me! That is a total Fable! There have been though, so I am going to share some of them with you.
Welcome to my second “episode” of Magical Monday, where I am going to write nothing but something positive. Mondays have a very bad reputation and I get it, I mean most people’s working week starts on the Monday. From there it seems like a very long road. So lets try to make it fun.
For this Magic Monday, I wanted to talk about probably my most favourite musician in the whole wide world. Even if they are no longer apart of this world anymore. I almost have a whimsical love for this artist. Different time, different place, it totally would have happened, lol. He was kind of a whimsical person. I think it’s also one of the reasons that I liked my ex, a couple of years after we had broken up and I saw a photo of him. It freaked me out a lot, because my ex looked exactly like this artist. I do miss this artists beautiful spirit in the world.
Shall I stop speaking now?
I know that John probably talked the most about Peace, and I don’t think there isn’t a single soul that doesn’t love “Imagine” But too myself, George was the one who practised it the best. He wasn’t like John in that, George was a lot more gentle than John was. George was my kind of “peaceful” person. I just really think he was a sweet soul. Very dreamy, very laid back. Although apparently very serious when need be. He was just a dream.
Below is posted my favourite song of his, I don’t care it was “The Beatles” He wrote it. I always play it on the first day that I really feel like Spring is back. But also when I need cheering up, almost like a metaphorical sun.
