It’s the Australians Bureau of Metrology. I LOVE having it on. Sometimes, at my old work place, especially during Winter. I would have my usual screens up and this one as well. I could see if rain, heavy or light was coming. Its fantastic! I love looking at websites like that. I also really like looking at the traffic website, see where the road blocks are, any crashes.
During Summer, if I smell fire or smoke, I go and look at the Fire Safety Map. I’ve forgotten what they’re called, lol. If there’s a reported fire, they will put it on the map.
I want to know if you have maybe a “different” kind of website you like or love to visit.
One week from today and I turn 38, and feeling pretty great to be honest. Next week I am going to be all fun, all the time =D Except if it’s a serious topic, like the war in Ukraine gets worse or something like that. All fun, all the time! What I’m gonna write about. Well you’ll just have to wait and see…
Honestly, me too. I have no idea. I haven’t even started with posts for next week, but that’s alright. Just gives me time to relax and think about what I can do over the weekend. I’m going start off with staying off of Twitter the WHOLE week! Seriously, it’s downright dangerous on there!
So there was a TERF, who was complaining about how Lego is not for adults, and anyone who does play with them, is probably a pervert and trying to groom.
You know what cracked me the most though? This account calls themselves the “Wild Woman Writing Club” and they think Lego is only for kids? Did you know some Lego sets can cost up too $500?! You know how I know, I’ve bought two of them for my partner. Are they trying to tell us that parents are buying $500 lego sets, just for kids?
This got us all talking about how not everything is for the kids.
For those who are relatively new to my blog, I buy teddy bears from a company called Charlie Bears. While, like Lego, you can buy them for kids. They are best suited for adults. Of course, you can all spend between $70-$500 for a teddy bear, for a kid. But they are best suited for adults.
Oh, colouring in books! I have a whole lot of them! I wouldn’t be without them. And I am always on the lookout for more!
So yeah, absolutely not everything is for just the kids!
I even have a couple of Barbies, lol … Mainly because though they can be useful sometimes in pictures and also…I mean, come on…a Barbie you can meditate with! I was SO disadvantaged as a child, lol It has a puppy that you can show the mood you’re feeling…I mean…COME ON!!!
I wanted to do something fun for my first post for Black History Month. I know that normally it’s all about honoring the past, but you know. Let’s have a little fun, before we get too serious. One thing about the modern times, there are more and more options for young people to buy toys. And for collectibles for us older “kids” too!
I manage to snag myself one of these, and I love it. It’s on my bookshelf now, I thought that was appropriate placing. It’s Maya Angelou Barbie Inspiring Women Doll.
“Colored Francie“ made her debut in 1967, and she is sometimes described as the first African American Barbie doll.
Of course with Black Panther played by the beautiful Chadwick Boseman, there are a lot more options for “boys” as well. Although personally, I have no problem with what “gender” toys, and who plays with what “gender” toys. If I was younger, I would have LOVED a Black Panther toy. Black Panther and Chadwick Boseman are equally as beautiful.
And don’t think for a second that African American people get out of those “real life looking” creepy baby dolls.
I know that plastic isn’t the “in” thing…But at least they look cute, and not “alive” like Chucky.
So of course you have Barbie, Mattel, Bratz…I can’t think of other doll companies, lol.
Don’t forget about Etsy! They have such a range!
I know 2000, was a few years ago…But you know, she’s beautiful!
I know that most of my readers are not big on regrets, but this isn’t really about regrets. It’s just about what are simples wishes you have, that would make your life happier? Not like the lottery type wishes, but like, here are couple of mine:
Do up the backyard, so that the bees come.
Do up the spare room, so there is something interesting to look outside the window.
Just draw reasonably well. Being a visual person, I get a lot of images in my head.
If you could, right now … Have anything that will get you through this mental health mess that is COVID and people constantly stuffing it up, what would it be? I can’t remember who it was, but I was talking to someone on here, I would love to have the Golden Girls constantly running 24/7 in my head right now.
I am currently unsure of what is going to happen next week, but I still want to run up to it with a lot of fun!
How do you do it though? When emotionally, may not physically have a lot of things going…How do you bring the fun?!
You know how like yesterday, I was writing about my changes? I have decided to do a proper online book discussion, once a week through my Discord channel. There’s few people I can reach out to via there. However, it should be fun! I don’t think I can put a schedule on it. I was thinking of doing it on a Sunday evening, so nothing to “hard”. Just a chat with tea =D We can all talk about what we’re enjoying reading =D
So that’s something fun, I am looking forward too =D Sunday nights, doesn’t matter if I’m working the next day or not. I get bored easily, lol. Just something to finish off at least my weekend, lol.
On a completely related topic, do any of you play the Facebook “People You May Know” game? If you don’t know what the game is. It’s where you look through the FB list of ‘people you may know’ and try to guess if you know who they are also friends with.
(Can you tell I’m struggling to find inspiration ?lol)
