So these different “things” have been banned in America. Not in the whole of America, but enough to be a problem.
I decided to wait a while until I wrote something about this, because what happened was shocking and something that I don’t believe even Trump has done…yet. I could not believe that Australia did it. But I wanted to wait and get as many facts as I could before I made a decision about how I truly felt about the situation.
I don’t know how many people that read my Blog follow Australia news,at all. But the last couple of weeks have been HUGE in terms of Freedom of the Press in Australia. AFP stands for the Australian Federal Police, so they are the big “kahunas”. The last couple of weeks they have been raiding journalist homes and just as frighteningly the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Centre). The ABC in Australia is kind of the opposite of cable tv, it’s mainly government funded. There are also a lot more Australian programs on it, unlike a lot of the, I guess you’d call them “mainstream media” channels.
What the raids were supposedly about, was an article over a year ago that was release on the ABC channels via a show called “The Insiders”. The shows was about the war in Afghan. Now the AFP say that they told the ABC they wanted to search through email systems in relation to the people mentioned in the search warrant and were searching “data holdings” between April 2016 and July 2017.
Now this came about a week or two after our elections. Both the Prime Minister and Peter Dutton have said that they did not this was about to happen, but considering the Prime Minister already has a nickname “Liar from the Shire” not to many people believe either of them. Scott Morrison at this point hasn’t even been Prime Minister for even a year yet. It’s either less than a year or there about. I forget to mention he’s given himself a pay raise already.
It does terrify me, this more than anything. Mainly because Trump hasn’t even done this…yet. I think he’d like too, but he hasn’t. Someone in the Government had to have instructed them to do so. The ABC are a pretty reputable company with all the checks. They would have never have release personal information, not only that. The ABC HAVE to do checks and balances, because they are Government funded. They can’t just do a story. They are probably the most informative channel as well though. They have less biased and alt-right figures on their show. They did not, for example, have Hanson, Latham or Anning on any of their shows they day after the Christchurch attacks.
One good thing to have come out of it is that all stations, competing or not, have condemned this.
So I am sure by now a lot of you have heard about Facebook, Youtube banning a lot of well-known alt-right pages. Now I am going to say right now, I LOATHE and DESPISE ANY extremist of any group. Right or Left, Feminist or MRA, Christian or Muslim, Vegan or…not very vegan?lol…Kind of like those meat eaters that eat something raw just to make the vegans mad,lol…Those “not very vegan” people,lol.
However, getting back on topic…
With the bans what infuriated me was the protection and the Freedom of Speech these extreme alt-right were getting, ESPECIALLY from the POTUS. Alex Jones put a target on DEAD AMERICAN CHILDREN and their surviving families. For myself, someone who wants to protect someone being able to do that to DEAD CHILDREN, rather than protect the DEAD CHILDREN and their families. Says to me a lot about what kind of human being you are.
Freedom of Speech, does not = Freedom of Consequences or Freedom of being banned for ignoring the Terms and Services of a business. I wonder how many of these “Freedom” people were all for the Christian baker not making the “gay” cake? I wonder how many of these same people said that the Baker HAS to make the gay cake? So far, I haven’t found a single one,lol
If I had a supporter who did that to DEAD AMERICAN CHILDREN (or any dead child) and their surviving families. I would be 100% behind banning them.
The reason I am writing DEAD AMERICAN CHILDREN in capitals, is because I think some of Jones’s supporters forget that he did do this. Families are STILL having to move around because of him.
I’ve noticed a lot lately, especially after the Christchurch attacks. A LOT of Australians going on about “Freedom of Speech” and how because of this, they can use hate speech. One problem with that…Australia doesn’t actually have Freedom of Speech, that’s an entirely American thing, because of the 1A. Australia doesn’t have a 1A, let alone a 2A or 100A. Australia has an implied freedom of political communication.
World Freedom Day was originally observed and started by then President George W. Bush 2001, in commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall…It’s almost ironic now really, when you think of current topics.
In a lot of First World Countries, we tend to take a lot of our Freedoms for granted, we just always assume they will always be there. Although it seems like a lot of our Freedoms feel under attack at the moment, this is the day to remember those who are not so fortunate.
Take the time today to read about Freedom, think about what it means to you and what you can do to help others achieve theirs.
*I’ve been debating with myself or not to actually post this. I have not served, but this gentleman has. Although I feel it is disrespectful, at the same time. If you’re not fighting for reasons other than to free people from Tyranny. I don’t see how fighting for a flag or an anthem is why you should be fighting. How can you go and fight for other people to be free and safe, and then come back to your own country and deny fellow citizens the same freedoms? I have been rescheduling and rescheduling…I don’t feel 100% comfortable with this*
I made a spelling mistake, but I was ON FIRE! When are these Trump supporters going to actually think for themselves for once? There’s nothing sadder to me than a Vet who went to fight save others, but wants to censor and stop bringing attention to their OWN CITIZENS plights…Cause Trump says so…You know that guy who doesn’t even know the word to the song?
I was talking to this Vet before I went to bed last night and I originally had scheduled this post. I always have an issue, if I start something before I go to bed. I always wake up the next morning regretting it. I did this morning as well again, like “Omg, I was arguing with a Vet” but I’ve kept this scheduled post, because it’s something that needs attention.

…Are their Vets who jump when Trump says so? When Trump hasn’t done anything for them, he can’t even bothered to learn the words to the song that he’s trying to “own the libs” on. I have a feeling that donating part of his salary to the VA and the Vet Act to expand health care…Which is good and I would LOVE the Act to be enacted…But also because he’s been totally been failing in that regard.
I thought that after my post yesterday, this has become my new favourite saying and that more people just really need to understand this.
In case you don’t have a single social media account, which is entirely possible. You may or may not have missed the whole #taketheknee who-ha. If you did, here’s a bit of a break down:
There is an American Colin Kapernick football player, who takes the knee in a peaceful protest against the very obvious racism in American, nothing at all to do with military…That is until Donald Trump, a war dodger said that anyone who takes the knee should be arrested. Without speaking to a single person who does take the knee, he just decided it was against the military….The guy who dodged the war and has never spent a day fighting in his life, is suddenly an expert in War. Suddenly people had a problem, when just the weekend before when Kapernick did the EXACT same thing and I doubt any of these people even noticed.
Then all hell broke loose. people started using pictures of dead soldiers coffin…you know soilders who can’t speak for themselves, which is so respectful of course *insert sarcasm here*…The biggest irony I found that a lot of Vets supported Kapernick. A lot of them actually said…with their own words and mouths…They fought so that people could peacefully protest, Kapernick has never ONCE said anything against the military. They fought against their people to have the FREEDOM to not be under a Dictator. Yet, people are completely ignoring this!
This is where my ultimate problem comes in…
These exact same people who have a problem with Kapernick…Have NO problem with the white supremacist group. That only a couple of weeks beforehand had worn the swastika symbols on their the tops…The people are “fine people” and they have no problems with those people. These “fine people” wore a symbol that millions of people fought and died to get rid of. In Germany it is ILLEGAL to advertise that symbol. Where’s the outrage for the soldiers who died under that symbol, where are the pictures of the dead soldiers who actually fought the Nazis, the pictures of the people who died in the concentration camps. Where are the pictures of the concentration camps of people who died because of that symbol? Where is the outrage against the people who wore symbols that soldiers actually fought against, the whole reason that Kapernick can peacefully protest against the more than obvious racism problem in America.
These people NEED to ask themselves why it’s alright to turn their backs on people who are just wanting their fellow countrymen to be safe…But yet don’t make a single noise about the white supremacist who wore a symbol that is ILLEGAL in Germany, who the allies actually fought against.
You are free to turn your backs on the NRL players, just as we are free to call you out on it. Being Free doesn’t mean you are free ONLY if everyone agrees with you?
In a shot of complete coincidence, I was watching “Band of Brothers” probably the most depressingly awesome series ever. Not just on War, but just an incredible series. There is one episode, I’ve seen it about 15 times “This is why we fight” I know it’s coming, yet, I can’t stop the tears. I can never watch with other people, it’s devastating. As I watched that episode again today, I found this article as well. If you can’t understand why you should be outraged by those “fine people” after watching that episode and reading this article…I am just going to assume that you have no heart.
