Share Your World

Tell us about your first bicycle or car?

My first bicycle was too big for me! I couldn’t actually even use it in the end. My feet didn’t even touch the ground! I did end up getting a bike a couple of years later that I could actually use. I swear I was just thinking about this the other day. There was this one time our Dad made my brother and I cycle for the longest time. He was going through a health kick himself.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Without question, I think I have said this a gazillion times. I would LOVE, not just like, Tolkiens world to visit. Either the book world or the movie. I love both of the worlds (even Tauriel included). It’s one of the reasons I want to learn to draw, I am very visual person. I could totally imagine myself being in that world, I literally have dreams about being there.

If you could have someone follow you around all the time, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?

In all honesty, they would probably be driving around a lot. Picking things up, getting me food. I would totally love that! There would be a lot of driving involved.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Just a lot this week! It’s been a great week! Too many to list!

This or That #31

this-or-that

The question this week is:

Do you watch the movie first

OR

Read the book first

Another great question! It’s an interesting one because some of the movies that have come out recently (like Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Harry Potter) I read the book first as they came out first and was then excited to see how the movie was represented.

For me personally if it is a movie I really want to see and it’s not coming out for a while I will read the book first. If it’s coming out soon, I’ll wait to see the movie first. One thing I have learnt over the years though is that the book and the movie are not always going to be 100% the same. This doesn’t usually matter to me so much. The only time I’ve been upset by a ending was in “The Hobbit” I didn’t even mind Tauriel, right up until they made the death of Kili all about Tauriel and NOT about the relationship between Fili and Kili.

That First Winter night

That first Winter night,
That first time you put on that familiar jumper you’ve had for years,
That first warm bubble bath, that you never want to come out of,
That first time you have to wrap the towel around to keep warm.

The first time you put on that heater
and wrap that warm blankie around you, falling asleep, warm on the couch,
The first warm cup of hot chocolate, warming all of your insides,
The first hot shower you have after running to get home in the rain, soaked through.

It’s what I’ll have to count on during these next few months…
