Questions:

What’s something you really resent paying for?

Umm…I honestly can’t think of anything. The closest I have come too is buying clothes online which then don’t really fit you properly.

What was the most unsettling film you’ve seen?

I can’t think of one of the top of my head. The one that I can think of that comes closest. Was Hostels 2, a thriller. This group of young people get kidnapped and then they are bid for. Where they were then tortured. I don;t like horrors or thrillers, except for silent horror films. But they STILL give me nightmares. The silent film of “Phantom of the Opera”, gave me my first nightmare that I can remember. I was only there, because my partners friends all wanted to see it. They all had seen Hostel 1. I also got squeamish because, at one point, they shoot a kid in the head. Violence towards children and animals, always makes me angry.

Do you judge people?

Too an extent, I do. I think we all do. As one gets older though, you learn to do it less and less.Well, I have been anyway, lol. I think as you get older, you…well some…care less what others think. So you tend to judge less, because you’ve “been through it” yourself. Well, some of us. I’d be a liar though if I say I never judge. I never said I was perfect!lol

Finish this sentence:  “Back in my day, we…”?

Walked 100 miles, in the snow, no shoes, we had to hunt for our school lunch…Hahaha…Back in my day…Feels so long ago now, especially with this year!

I have found something to put in my little seeds in, which I am going to go out to get tomorrow…The best thing is, that they are biscuit containers! Our supermarket bakery, bake their own biscuits (cookies). I’m always buying a different flavour biscuit, and the containers are quiet huge. I was about to throw them out, but then I realised. I reckon I can use them for some seeds! What do you all think? I was thinking some herbs? Put some holes in the bottom? I’m not really a “garden” person, lol. The most I do is pull weeds, lol. I put a birthday card of mine to compare sizes.

Do we demand too much?

Last week I wrote a review about a movie that I had seen called “Inside Out” I had had plans to see it while it was in the cinemas, but it just never happened. So on Netflix we saw it was on there and so we decided to watch and I had ended up being very disappointed to not really enjoy it, as I just expected to as everyone else had told me I would. Which had made me start to question about getting caught up in the bandwagon of these “must see” movies.

I believe this is because we are given SO much detail about the movie before it even comes out, that we have these expectations of what the movies will be in it’s entirety, before we’ve even seen it.

Take the live action film Beauty and the Beast for example. People were making HUGE judgements just based on the whole Emma Watson not wearing a corset thing. I have literally seen people make comments about how they are not going to see the film, because she’s not wearing the “true” outfit. Which is kind of ironic to me, since the whole movie is about not judging based on appearances. Then I thought to myself, would it have been better to notice it once the film has come out and not before? I honestly didn’t notice that she wasn’t even wearing a corset until people pointed it out. So people could make better judgements, whether it really makes that much of a difference to the film. Which, while I get the sentiment, I just don’t think it should be the focus of the film.

Sometimes to me it feels like there has to be a social or political point to make for people to go see a film, rather than just go see a film, to enjoy it. Sometimes I honestly feel the fun has been taken out of just seeing a film for the sake of seeing a film that you just want too. Sometimes it feels like there is just so much information out there and of course someone is going to be offended by something, and it’s hard to see a film without those people giving you a hard time about what they feel all offended by and I just want to see the film.

There have been many times when I have to go to see a movie a few weeks after it’s come out and I’ve been expecting to really enjoy it and I didn’t. Or films that I’ve seen when everyone else did, enjoyed it, watched it later and just did not enjoy it.

Has this ever happened to you readers? Do you feel like we are getting to much information before a film is even out? Have you ever decided not see a film or to see one because of all the “information” before a film comes out, or does it not affect you?

I am choosing to enjoy this Beauty and the Beast film.

So what do you prefer readers? Tonight on my television screen are all types of Halloween movie…Funny, Based on true events etc. Over the weekend I was watching a lot of documentaries of horror stories, a lot of whom real life stories have been turned into “Hollywood Magic”. My post this afternoon is based on probably one of the most well-known murderess after watching a show about her on the History Channel…Such a great channel! Whereas tonight I am planning on watching all the comedy type Halloween movies.

So what do you prefer to watch comedy, real life, psychologically thrillers. Or do you, like me, like to watch a combination of the lot?…With a glass of wine, or your choice of beverage ~.^

It’s not all Disney

Sometimes it’s also Pixar, Dreamworks and Fox Animation…etc…You get my point ~.^

I found this fantastic Blog on a Facebook page (Check out George Takei’s Facebook page!)

In all honestly I wasn’t even aware that some of these classic childhood movies were not Disney movies at all! I didn’t even have to play the YouTube videos to remember some of these films.

13 Non-Disney animated movies of the 80s-90s that are secretly the best!

Just the thumbnail of “The Land Before Time” was enough to get me “misted-eyed”.
