Questions:

Must we have evidence to know the truth?

Ahhh…In a court room, you usually do need evidence. Generally though, a lot of the time, we don’t always need evidence. In fact, some people just ignore it all together *cough Trump was not exonerated* *cough there are more than two genders*. Personally, sometimes I don’t need evidence to know the truth, but it is helpful.

How much control does a person have over their life?

I think about 65% control, lol. We have control over certain things, but we don’t have control over everything. We don’t have control how others choose to treat us, we don’t have control over people to give us that job we really want. We do have control over, if we don’t get the job we wanted, what’s our next step then? We can control how we react to others. Then there are things like cancer, having anxiety feels like you don’t have control sometimes. But we can control, as an example, getting yearly checkups, watching how we treat our bodies. I have reasonably high cholesterol, as does most of my family. So I’m on tablets right now, but I can control my diet and exercise to help bring it down too.

What is gravity and how does it work?

Well gravity, in space, makes you float. Gravity on earth means that we don’t float. It has something to do with how fast earth goes around the sun. I want to ask my partner, he’s a physics teacher. But I’m going to answer it on my own…Can you tell?lol. It has something to do with the sun pulling on earth. Or any planet really.

Can a person be happy if they have never experienced sadness?  How about vice versa?

Of course! I don’t know, but sure, lol. It’s hard to think of anyone who hasn’t experienced both of those, who I can think of.

Gratitude:

Please feel free to share a song, a poem, a quote or an image or photo to show what you were grateful for during this past week.    (Optional as always).

The control question actually inspired me to apply for potential jobs. I’ve always thought that I would do really well at a doggy day care centre, or something similar. So I cold-canvassed a couple of places today. The worst they can say is no, right? At least they have my information and can tell my enthusiasm, if they want.

The Past

28. The Past

This is such a hard one to think about and write about, because I truly do believe that we learn from our past. So I cannot think of just one experience or one situation that I am grateful for from my past, I am so grateful for a lot of things from my past. I guess that I could run with that, but that too me personally is such an easy way out. So, for your viewing, I have thought about a lot of situations and what came out of those situations that have made me the person that I am today.

In my past the thing that I am most grateful for, is my family. When I look back at every single thing in my life, my family (mostly immediate) are the ones who have always been there.

From the several times I’ve been bullied over the years, especially those times with two particular girls who really introduced me too “cuber bullying” I didn’t know how to handle it, every day or every time I’d make a post I’d get attacked. My family were there ones who took care of me, they knew how to keep me from going off the edge. My mum figured out what foods I could eat and actually keep down.

Learn something new every day!

I am a BIG believer in learning something new every single day…Literally a huge believer in it, so I decided to test my theory on this. I got the idea from Dave’s Corner of the Universe … When better to do it then the month of my birthday? A whole new year, another year around the sun…sigh…lol…Although this will be coming all in one full post, I will be posting about something new that I learned that day. Whether that be about myself, someone else or just some random fact…Enjoy! Let’s learn together…

For the Month of April…

  1. Too much Heinz spaghetti in one toastie, will explode in the sandwich toaster.
  2. Scientologist/Scientology….BLOW MY MIND! How it’s all legal, is beyond me. Watch Louis Theroux and Leah Remini series.
  3. I can feel the difference now when I drink coffee and when I drink black/earl grey tea. How it heightens and how coffee buzzes with my mind, which does not help anxiety. Try and stop drinking coffee for two weeks and see how you feel with that first cup of joe after two weeks.
  4. People do NOT read the letters they are given. Then honestly expect you to give them…oh I don’t know…Their thousands of dollars school course for free, because they’ve waited till the last minute to setup their fees…Since they’ve gotten the final letter saying they’ll be taken to the debt collectors…Like that’s our fault? How surprising it is to see just SO many people NOT pay fees. I couldn’t live with it!
  5. Ian McKellen was asked to play Dumbledore
  6. Alligators are apparently more “placid” than Crocodiles.
  7. Sometimes when you feel a cold or the flu coming on…Do everything! Stay Warm, drink lots of tea, have some Panadol and have lots of vitamin C I swear that it holds it off.
  8. Even a sip of off milk can hurt/upset your stomach…Do not ask! If you’re not sure, throw it out.
  9. Karula the magnificent Leopard is feared dead, as we haven’t seen her in such a long time. I never thought I could feel so much dread of an animal I have never met.
  10. Possible sympathy cold? Can you get those?
  11. Napoleon abdicated willingly and was exiled.
  12. If you work hard enough, you always get where you want in the end.
  13. Having two days in a row to do nothing is truly something I may have too treasure soon! I can always say no, but I wont want to for a while.
  14. Is there any chocolate any better than dark peppermint chocolate?
  15. I got to watch April the Giraffe give birth live!
  16. My body is capable of a lot, I just wish my mind could catch up!
  17. Weather is really weird, when it’s changing from season to season and I never know how many jackets or cardigans to carry with me.
  18. Slenderman is freaking freaky and I haven’t even played the game! (Watching “Fear the Slenderman“…The true story of the two young girls who attempted to kill their “friend” to appease the Slenderman)
  19. In 1770 Captain James Cook first sighted Australia.
  20. Gators the latest in bush-walking fashion.
  21. I don’t think Instagram is the place to talk about Equality, unless you fit that persons “box”.
  22. Not sleeping well two nights in a row (just can’t sleep) really makes you feel unwell. Then sleeping during the day makes it harder to sleep at night, again.
  23. I love that we are STILL finding things like these ancient Egyptian Tombs, it really is fascinating. Another piece of a puzzle!
  24. Emperor Penguins have 100 feathers per square inch.
  25. Lest We Forget
  26. I heard the best quote today “We have learnt our rights, but we have not learnt our responsibilities”.
  27. The 27th of 2017 is #safarilive and WildEarth 10th birthday of streaming live feeds of streaming live safari’s…PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT!
  28. In 1770 Captain James Hook, aboard the Endeavour ship, lands at Botany Bay in Australia.
  29. There is absolutely a reason why they have Warnings on the packets of headache/pain tablets, about not drinking alcohol after you’ve taken them…Don’t ask,lol
  30. I have always believed that animals have emotions, but I’m not sure who else agrees.

Study

My job is a bit weird (as well as my title) but my main job is to help students enrol into “TAFE/College” classes and a lot of the times we are called in in the morning. Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not being called in a lot. Luckily for me and some of my other co-workers we were asked to work in a particular study area office as their receptionist. It’s one of those study areas that I really feel uncomfortable around, but I don’t have much choice at the moment. I have also found out that none of my other casual co-workers took up the offer.

So now I’m working by myself in an area I am completely unfamiliar with, so today I am just studying all the notes I took and had been given after training for one day…ONE DAY! This area works with Visa’s and people who have English a second language…and there is me…No second language at all! So I am slightly freaking out today.

As much as I am freaking out, I am really honestly feeling a little embarrassed that I was the only people who offered to work any shifts. At the moment I am just doing Tuesday – Thursday because Monday and Fridays I have just started volunteer work. Here is Australia you have to be doing something each week to “earn” your welfare/dole pay. So I can’t give up my volunteer work because the paid work is not permanent. It’s turned into a really complicated system and kind of unfair system. Instead of actually paying people, businesses now use volunteers, full time, instead.

I am trying to enjoy this last day of freedom before tomorrow.

Mandy Hale … Single Blog

So for the last couple of weeks I have been sharing with you “Mandy Hales: A beautifully Uncertain 31 Day Challenge”

(See: Week One/1 and Week Two/2 here)

Here I post for you A Beautifully Uncertain 31 Day Challenge Week 3 … Now there are definitely harder Challenges to do this week BUT I would still recommend every single one of them. Since I’ve mentioned before as well, you don’t have to be Single to relate to these challenges. I’ve been finding these challenges useful in terms of just centring myself and helping to lift my self esteem.

Happy Anniversary WordPress!

I got a nice little notification today…

anniversary-2x

It’s been two years today since I made my very first post on WordPress…I cannot believe it! I have never stuck to anything like this for a month, let alone TWO YEARS!

So what was my very first Blog?

https://lolsyslibrary.wordpress.com/2013/09/03/dropbox-app-android/

Yep…All about dropbox’s app on Android. I don’t know how many of my readers are aware, but I actually started to use WordPress/Blogging as a school subject for social media studies.

So here’s to you WordPress and all of my readers! Thank you for the good times and for helping me get through some really rough days. I don’t think that I’ve really had a horrible experience on here. You have introduced me to new experiences and new people…I love you for it! Here’s to more Blogging!

Reality Checks

Reality Check always come out of nowhere and they seem to always change your entire week and remind you of what is really important. I had one of those moments this week.

My dog suddenly became ill, for those who know. When I lost my last dog, she went suddenly too. She had never been sick, other than an upset stomach here and there, she lost some teeth along the way, but basically pretty healthy…Then in one week…She was gone, I had been in denial right up until the night before we had to put her down.

Although my other dog seems to be fine other than she’s had an issue with her “behind”. It’s the first time in a long time I’ve actually been worried. Just reminds you, I had all this stuff I was supposed to do and I have been watching her like a hawk to make sure she stays safe.

Just keeps you in check really =)

New Years!

Another end of the year and I am sure that there will be thousands of posts today about today and all the resolutions.

I know people are waiting for some emo post (especially on my Facebook page) but I just want to say I don’t really have anything to complain about this year. Sure it’s not all been amazing and I was disappointed a lot, but most of it has been…“The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant” That’s my theme for this year. I got rid of a lot of toxic things, people and the way I think. I have had so much fun and when the good things have happened, they have been uh-mazing! I have great family, amazing friends and I am particularly proud of myself too, I have accomplished a lot personally =D

What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?

I swam with dolphins, I still can’t get over surreal that whole experience was! Amazing! I walked Mt Lofty and lived to tell the tale! (I did do it when I was younger, but I barely remember it). I changed my hair a different colour and it now it’s turned into this fabulous colour that I have actually always wanted my hair to be. I have done more little personal things that I’ve not done before. Going on an online dating site and actually meeting someone decent, lol

Online Dating Update

Thought that I would give a little update to my online dating experiences (and hopefully give you something fun to read on this Sunday night).

Guy Number one:

I shall call him number one because it seems to be going really well with him. The first date we couldn’t stop talking to each other and I knew that I liked him when we got home late and I needed to get up early the next day and so I kind of ran out of the car, but then, in true girl like fashion, I realised he hadn’t kissed me…and I wanted him to and woke up the next morning with regrets =/

Guy Number two:

This one is going nowhere. Guys there are only a certain type of girl that will like the needy “tell me everything and who you are talking to” guy…I am not one of those. I had to finally reject him and let him know that I was not interested. There was nothing “bad” about him, he is just not the type for me.

Advice:

My biggest advice is to meet anyone you meet online in public, do NOT meet in them in private. Do not let them pick you up or drop you off on the first date (possibly the second too if you’re unsure). Do pay attention to what they are saying, guy number two (for example) starting asking me pretty nearly straight away who else I was talking to. Although I am not very experienced in online dating, I felt uncomfortable about him asking me. DO listen to your gut instincts. Once I had turned him down I have now spent the past three days (I am not kidding) trying to explain to him I am just not interested. It really feels like I’ve broken up with him, rather than just letting him down.
