List things or events that changed your life?

  • When my Grandfather died.
  • When I got bullied in Year 6 (10 years old)
  • When my parents split up…and how I was treated afterwards.
  • Flying to America by myself to meet a guy! I still can’t believe I did that! No regrets!
  • Losing my “friends” at the beginning of the years…But it’s been a GOOD change!
  • Starting my Library studies.
  • When I was attacked by a male friend.
  • Having a massive panic attack and ending up in hospital.

Complete this sentence: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s…

What genre of music do you like?

I’m one “those” people, who likes pretty much everything. Different types of music makes me feel different types of things and different moods. The only kind of music I don’t like is that screaming, death metal type.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I smiled this week because despite other people not really being very helpful. I took my health into my own hands and instead of expecting other people to help me. I bought actual heart smart food and I feel SO much better for it. Even if my Mum is purposely buying bad food for me, for own odd reasons (for some reason she keeps buying battered food and no salad or fruits…I’m trying to watch my cholesterol for this month, I’ve got one more week to go) It’s up too me ultimately.

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?

If I could I would have both a reading nook and a art and craft studio. I like taking photos, but I’m not really interested in it to make it a whole room. I am more of a “phone photo taker”. I would love to have a reading nook though, I have seen so many pictures of people’s reading nooks and I just love them! I play “The Sims” and pretty much all of my houses have a “reading room”.

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)

I love this! It’s a little bit cloudy, but there is a sun and some light peeking out and hopefully there’ll just be a lot of light soon!

If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?

I would love to attend a Bruno Mars concert. At the moment I can’t really go to concerts, I don’t want to spend a lot of money just to have an anxiety attack. I keep telling myself though Bruno Mars is young, I’m getting better…One day this will happen!

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Blog Ideas?

If you are a regular reader of mine, you have probably noticed that I don’t post a lot on weekends. I just really don’t have anything interesting to write on weekends, I also feel like this Blog is sort of what I enjoy doing the week. It helps get me through, once the weekend hits, even though being a casual worker and I can very really work on the weekend (just the Library, but I have no problem with them). I can usually really relax and not worry to much. Usually I use my weekends as well to write a lot of my more random Blogs.

I have been thinking lately that maybe I should start Blogging on the weekends, even if it’s something just a simple as write up of the week or what is coming up during the week. Not necessarily with myself personally, but any exciting days that are coming like the past weekend (for example). We had World Paperback Day, Ranger Day and Rain Day and I would have LOVED to have written something about that.

So be on the look out for even more posts!

Happy Aussie Day!

Every year 26th of January is Australia’s Australia Day and since I am a proud Australian, I am celebrating the best way that I can without actually going out anywhere.

Australia Day Website

It probably may came a shock to little, especially with all that’s been happening this past year, that there is a huge debate in Australia right now and whether or not we should change the date. This is because the Indigenous people of Australia do not see it as a day that is celebratory, but rather they call it “”Invasion Day” and I do not blame them for it at all. You see Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th because, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ship, in Port Jackson, New South Wales. It wasn’t actually until 1901 that it was called “Australia Day”. Before that it had various names such as: “Anniversary Day”, “Foundation Day”, and “ANA Day”

For one I don’t mind the date being changed, just as long as it still is within Summer…Too me beaches and Summer are just “Australian”. I even heard a name for the new day that I liked “The Spirit of Australia”…I don’t know, it just had a ring for me.

However I feel especially proud to be an Australian today. Apart from the hard right hater type folks, I feel very safe here. I am actually more frightened of my Aussies who are all “Send them back” types, mainly because they inflict and aggravate SO much hate and fear, that I feel more unsafe to be around a group of them than any of our modern “invaders”. They tend to be the ones who cause more fights, though all we mainly hear about the people they want to send people back…Even if they are just as “naturally” Australian as they are…It’s aggravating.

Someone should remind them of their Australia National Anthem:

#WorldLionDay

I did not realise that today was #WorldLionDay! World Lion Day August 10

Lions are probably my most favourite animals and I think that they are just magnificent! I don’t know what it is about Lions, I think it might be because they are one of the few social cats that hang together in Prides and Collations. Yet, they are huge and strong, and you see them play with their cubs, so teeny tiny and how gentle they are…Especially the Lionesses!…Except of course when a Male collation takes over.

Some teeny tiny paws for you to enjoy ❤

I love all animals…Except for maggots…Eww! NOTHING on this earth will make me love them.

Lions are just a special animal for me. I feel though we owe all these endangered animals our help, from elephants to the black-eyed leaf Frog. We need to do something, it’s not their fault they should not be punished because of our stupidity and cruelty.

Rio Olympics

Today starts the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics and according to your countries time differences the Opening Ceremony will start at the same, but different times. In my country (Australia) we wont get the Opening Ceremony until Saturday morning at 8:30am.

Who will be watching?! What if your favourite Olympic event?

Happy Fireworks Day

In a time of uncertainty, uncertainty politics, uncertain employment, i your country even still going to be there tomorrow. Sometimes it’s good to see traditions continue. I wish my American friends and readers a happy Independence Day. On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States.

Please just remember though fireworks can scare your family pets, so please make sure that your pets are securely secured!

What about you?

As you can probably all imagine I am little tired this Monday morning, luckily I have no work, but you always wake up at the same time anyways. I am so tired though I cannot think at all what to write for today.

So I thought that I would ask how your weekend went, how did your weekend shape up to be? Here a few things that happened over the weekend from all over the globe:

  1. Kenya torches Worlds biggest ivory bonfire to save Elephants
  2. Barack Obama roasts Donald Trump at Correspondents dinner
  3. Indian teen shoots himself in head taking selfie with gun
  4. Survivor rescued 13 days after deadly Ecuador quake
  5. A-League Grand Final: Adelaide United beat Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 in thriller to take first title!
