Ernest Hemingway

Technically, Hemingway’s birthday is on the 21st. However, there is not wrong time really to write about such an amazing writer, with such an interesting life. I have a few of my favourite quotes of his below.

“There is no friend as loyal as a book.”

“I love sleep. My life has the tendency to fall apart when I’m awake, you know?”

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”

“The world breaks everyone, and afterward, many are strong at the broken places.”

Of all the writers/authors out there, I have read none of Hemingway’s books (haha). But I know a lot of his quotes, and I am fascinated by the man himself. I am sure his books are completely wonderful, I just never read them. I don’t think he was even *required* school reading.

What did Hemingway win the Nobel Prize for?

The Nobel Prize in Literature 1954 was awarded to Ernest Miller Hemingway “for his mastery of the art of narrative, most recently demonstrated in The Old Man and the Sea, and for the influence that he has exerted on contemporary style.”

Think, Act

(Might be going with a little theme here)

It was a bit of an accident that I happened to stumble upon this site. I put “Think, Act” into the Google search and I found this site. It’s not anything to do in relation with the above quote, however, it is a site and is about using the Internet to your advantage…You might find it interesting to give it a bit of a look, it’s a “digital impact Blog”.
