Enjoy
I am going to enjoy…
I am not going to lie to you, I am going to enjoy these whole Trump thing. As annoying as it is, to know that he may have taken Nuclear Documents back to Mar, where he recently had Saudi Arabians visit. The same group of people who perpetuated 9/11. You all remember that?
However, apart from that. I cannot lie I am enjoying this ride. Most intelligent business people would NEVER be a leader of a country. Because you get looked into SO much, you are under so much scrutiny.
Then this week, our own former Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, had to apoligise for doing something very similar to what Trump did. While he was PM, he made himself minister of different departments. Which is a big no no.

What are these morons even doing?
One week…
One week from today and I turn 38, and feeling pretty great to be honest. Next week I am going to be all fun, all the time =D Except if it’s a serious topic, like the war in Ukraine gets worse or something like that. All fun, all the time! What I’m gonna write about. Well you’ll just have to wait and see…
Honestly, me too. I have no idea. I haven’t even started with posts for next week, but that’s alright. Just gives me time to relax and think about what I can do over the weekend. I’m going start off with staying off of Twitter the WHOLE week! Seriously, it’s downright dangerous on there!
Enjoyment
It is such a simple word, enjoy/enjoyment. Yet, these days it seems like such a hard to get and gold onto. Once one crisis is over, another one begins.
In theory Enjoyment is easy to say, much more harder to practice and hold onto for more than 5 minutes. It seems more and more these days, you start to play a song you enjoy, by the end. You’ve seen a new report, article, comments on a post, and you’re annoyed again.
Short, simple, but true!
One Life
Look, I know that Royal Wedding might feel like it’s everywhere and you just want people to stop talking about…Just like every Oscars, Olympics,Eurovision…This is a one time special international event.
Please though:
We will have different interests and in this world today, if this brings joy to someone other than you. Please, just let them enjoy it. We all have one life and there is no harm in enjoying a Royal wedding…a Fairy tale for some. We all have one life, just let people enjoy this one moment in time.
Summer and I
I usually do these posts on a Friday because it’s give me a whole week to reflect from the last one. I can’t help but start to dream of Summer though even before Friday. Due to me being in the Southern Hemisphere, we are heading towards the colder weather. Each day is getting that little more warmer. Hence why I am writing this Blog earlier than I usually do, because being cold makes me think of all the lovely warm things Summer brings with it.
- Dresses and Skirts
- Ice Blocks…I don’t really eat ice cream, mainly ice blocks.
- It feels easier to travel to places.
- Places just seem nicer to visit. Not only do I mean actual places seems nice to visit, but as my above answer says, travelling just seems more pleasant.
- It’s usually lighter outside for longer.
- For me, being in the southern hemisphere, means that Summer is during Christmas. Lots of public holidays, lots of seeing people you love.
- Going for leisurely walks with my dog, instead of rushed ones, hoping we don’t get wet and cold…and potentially getting ourselves sick.
- New Years is also over Summer and this year we’re going to be going to a hotel looking over a popular beach. It’s going to be fantastic!
Do we demand too much?
Last week I wrote a review about a movie that I had seen called “Inside Out” I had had plans to see it while it was in the cinemas, but it just never happened. So on Netflix we saw it was on there and so we decided to watch and I had ended up being very disappointed to not really enjoy it, as I just expected to as everyone else had told me I would. Which had made me start to question about getting caught up in the bandwagon of these “must see” movies.
I believe this is because we are given SO much detail about the movie before it even comes out, that we have these expectations of what the movies will be in it’s entirety, before we’ve even seen it.
Take the live action film Beauty and the Beast for example. People were making HUGE judgements just based on the whole Emma Watson not wearing a corset thing. I have literally seen people make comments about how they are not going to see the film, because she’s not wearing the “true” outfit. Which is kind of ironic to me, since the whole movie is about not judging based on appearances. Then I thought to myself, would it have been better to notice it once the film has come out and not before? I honestly didn’t notice that she wasn’t even wearing a corset until people pointed it out. So people could make better judgements, whether it really makes that much of a difference to the film. Which, while I get the sentiment, I just don’t think it should be the focus of the film.
Sometimes to me it feels like there has to be a social or political point to make for people to go see a film, rather than just go see a film, to enjoy it. Sometimes I honestly feel the fun has been taken out of just seeing a film for the sake of seeing a film that you just want too. Sometimes it feels like there is just so much information out there and of course someone is going to be offended by something, and it’s hard to see a film without those people giving you a hard time about what they feel all offended by and I just want to see the film.
There have been many times when I have to go to see a movie a few weeks after it’s come out and I’ve been expecting to really enjoy it and I didn’t. Or films that I’ve seen when everyone else did, enjoyed it, watched it later and just did not enjoy it.
Has this ever happened to you readers? Do you feel like we are getting to much information before a film is even out? Have you ever decided not see a film or to see one because of all the “information” before a film comes out, or does it not affect you?
I am choosing to enjoy this Beauty and the Beast film.

What type of popular candy you do not like to get?
I am actually not a big chocolate person, I have to actually be in the mood to want to eat it. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times people have bought me chocolate as a gift and it’s taken me months to eat it. I have to tell boyfriends to not buy me chocolates.
What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500?
This one can depend on what’s going on my life at that time. If I am able to pay my bills and I’m alright with food and other essentials. It also depends on the time of year, at the moment for example, I might spend a couple of hundred on Christmas presents and save the rest (just in case). If that’s all good, I would probably go to my favourite online store Boohoo (Australia) and see what sales they have one (can’t help a good sale!). Definitely a good night out would be in order, or maybe a cheeky night away with the beau =D
Where do you eat breakfast?
If I happen to eat breakfast it usually at home sitting on the couch, probably watching cartoons to be honest, lol.
Would you rather ride one of the worlds longest zip lines or bungee jump one of the highest in the world? This will come with a 5-day all expense vacation.
I have always wanted to a try a zip line! I would definitely go with the zip line! They just look like so much fun.
Life is delicious!
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies…No spoilers!
Well…I finally got around to seeing the above movie title “The Hobbit…The battle of five armies”…What can I say? I am emotionally drained. While I don’t want to give to much away, I mean it must have affected me in some way, I feel really emotionally drained. The only other time that I’ve felt like this was after break ups. I guess though it is more than likely the end of an era. I keep randomly bursting into tears.
I realised a little while ago as well, all of these JRR Tolkien, Peter Jackson movies have been around in some form or another for HALF my life. I guess when something has been in your life for that long, I guess it does feel like a little like I have to “let it go”. I mean how often is anything these days in your life for half your life. I mean how marriages started and ended during 2001 and ?lol.
I have to say that I enjoy it, I did feel though like a lot of others it seems, there were just some scenes that should have been left as it had originally written. I don’t even mind the whole love triangle thing right up until it killed a scene that really should have been between two other major characters that were actually in the book.
It’s just so weird though! I feel SO drained, I think unless you’ve felt like this it is hard to explain. Can you be in love with a fictional character? Can a fictional character truly represent everything you want in a man…or dwarf in this case. Even with all of his faults, there is something about Thorin Oakenshield that I am completely and utterly in love, and that’s what it feels like, I can’t help it. I am a 30 year old women, it feels totally crazy to feel like this. Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield makes me feel like somehow being human and not being apart of the world that is Middle Earth, I am lost here. I don’t fit in here, I fit in there…Yet, it is totally not reality.
On a completely different subject, completely loved Legolas!
