I finally got to see “The Jungle Book” (2016 film) over the weekend and I cried, I knew that I was going to cry. I laughed, I felt worried, I felt excited. It was great! I always had a feeling that I was going to like it and I’ve been waiting for it all.
The only real complaint I had was that the Elephants looked suspiciously a lot like African elephants, except for the baby elephants, who did look like Indian elephants. I get that African elephants might look a little bit more impressive (and they have a few animals from all over, lol), but this in in India.
It’s a really good movie though, doesn’t have all the dancing and music, but there are couple of favourites that people will recognise. It is also obviously a bit more darker and because the animals are more “life-like”, if you are taking children, just be wary. It’s not necessarily violent, but there are deaths.
Neel Sethis as “Mowgli” was also a great little actor, extremely believable and he didn’t have that “stop and start” static that some child actors sometimes have. He was able to just go with the flow of it.
Would definitely give this 4 and a half out of 5 books, I was just a little disappointed with how they chose the look of the elephants. Everything else was fun and a good story.
My horoscopes said that I just need to “make a wish” this week. Instead of concentrating on what I want, I need to work on what I want to get what I need. I am actually into horoscopes, but the ones that they do weekly in the newspaper is not the ones I follow to the “T”. Mainly because those ones are just to general, they are not specific enough, for that you need a lot more detail.
However, I think making wishes helps to achieve what we want too and every Monday I make wishes for what I want to achieve for that particular week.
(Just posting here, I am not posting any spoilers … So please do not post any spoilers in the comments)
I’ll just start off by saying that yes, this another Star Wars: The Force Awakens (IMDb) post. The funny thing is I am not “fanatic” per-say, but I do enjoy the Star Wars (not the ones that were made in the 00’s … They were just truly horrible). I do have to say though that this new Star Wars is actually really pretty darn good. It is extremely relevant and very familiar to the originals, so if you are a fan of the originals, I would highly suggest that you go out and see it.
My favourite character in the whole film is definitely Finn (played by John Boyega). He has the right amount of fun, combined with the perfect element of cowardly heroism (trust me, you will get that reference). I can just see a whole new generation of little girls wanting to be like Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) and can see a lot of “Reys” at the next conventions.
The other reason is I am changing a lot of my Blog postings to later in the afternoon/evening, mainly the big type posts. Except for Mondays and Friday where I feel like we could all use a grin, especially on Monday mornings!
So many of you people are extremely aware that I love Disney and I am definitely a “Disney” … girl … lady … woman, lol. Anyways, I found this great link on Oh My Disney (if you love Disney, you should look at this site).
What it’s about is they’ve take some screen shots of very famous “Cats” in the Disney world and then recreated them with pictures of “real cats”.
“Everybody wants to be a Disney cat, and the following stock photo kitties are succeeding with flying colors. Our determination to make our lives as much like a Disney movie as possible means we’re especially apt at drawing comparisons to the animated felines from our favorite movies, so it only made sense that we go on a mission to find the most impressive cat doppelgängers. If you’ve ever longed for proof that Disney cats walk among us, we present the following gallery for your consideration:”
Cee Photography came up with another great idea! “I came up with a another way of doing Share Your World for this again this week. Finish these four sentences. You can be talk about yourself or be creative and write a piece of fiction. It’s up to you. Have some fun.”
Complete this sentence: Never In My Life Have I….Wanted to be as happy as I am right now, corny or what!
Complete this sentence: My neighbour wants me to help her…Garden, she seems to really need it!
Complete this sentence: When I was little I wanted…to really go to Disney world (and I still do,lol)
Complete this sentence: Will you come here to…where?lol
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I have been noticing lately that my posts have been a little bit depressing, I hate being mad and sad, I really do hate it, but hey, I can’t be perfect 100% of the time =P Something about birthdays that make me depressed, it’s not the getting older part. It’s the way that I always feel like something is missing from my birthdays. Either I get a whole pile of presents that make me feel guilty because I look at them and go “Do you people know me at all?” and you have to do something with them…
Anyways, there is this site that I love called “Oh My Disney” http://blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney/
I love this site, they have so many types of Blogs based all on everything Disney related. One I reently happened to stumble upon was Belle’s Fashion tips.
Welcome to another Monday morning folks, now all sit back, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee as Lolsy’s Library proudly presents a collaboration of Disney Princess songs (mainly because it’s got my favourite two Princesses and their songs right at the start! Hey, it’s my “birthday week”). What could be a more magical way to wake up on a Monday morning…Maybe some Disney Villains, if Princesses aren’t your thing…
